I hate to say this, but this was the worst dining experience we had while visiting Orlando. Although we were greeted with a smile and seated immediately, that was where the positive experience ended. It took a while for our waitress to come and take our orders. Unfortunately, of the five orders placed, there was a problem with three of them. We found this to be a bit confusing, given that just about everyone ordered almost the same thing or some variation of the same entree. In addition to not receiving, correct and incomplete orders, when it was time to check out, the bills were wrong. Even though we bought up these concerns to our waitress, she offered an excuse at every pass instead of just apologizing and trying to do what she could to make it better. Also, be aware and pay close attention to your bill. Based on the way your order is entered into the system, it can cost more than what is stated on the menu. I will say, this location is very open and probably great for a girls night out or family dining. Also, one of the staples, the croissants... were not good at all this time! I went here on vacation with my family and luckily checked out the website beforehand so that we could join the waitlist before hand versus waiting until we got there. Even with the waitlist, there was a 15 minute wait. We were seated promptly when we got to the top of the waitlist but the hostess didn't give us cutlery. Our waiter greeted us after awhile and asked what we wanted to drink and got our orders to us after around 5-10 minutes. Well then we waited around another 10-15 for him to come back to take our orders. I asked for a water and he never brought one to our table. My bf ordered cheese curds which were just meh. Not enough seasoning and we're not hot enough to have a cheese pull in my opinion. When we finally got our food after another 10-15 mins my order was wrong, as well as, my boyfriend's son. The woman who brought the food to our table, not the waiter, said that she would get our orders corrected to what we actually ordered. She did come back and had a loaded potato for my boyfriend's son that only had cheese on it now bacon sour cream etc. my dish was again incorrect and the waiter who brought the food this time said he would get it taken care of, however after waiting another 5 minutes no one came back with my meal, so my bf saw the woman who helped us earlier and she told me she would check on the order and my bf asked to speak with the manager. The manager did come back with the correct food and offered to comp some items. But honestly by that time, I really just wanted to go. The salmon I got was average and so were the shrimp. The cheese fries barely had any cheese on them. I was expecting more being that this place was packed but it was really disappointing and I would not recommend going here. read more

I'm honestly surprised it's still in business. If I could give it a zero, I would. The food was terrible, the service was just as bad, and the overall dining experience was a complete disappointment. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else. Our family stopped here on vacation, and it was a huge mistake. We started with the cheese bites as an appetizer. As you can see from the picture, the portion was a complete rip-off. Not only was the serving size disappointing, but they also seemed undercooked. I ended up giving them all to my son because I didn't even want to eat them. For my entrée, I ordered the Smokehouse Burger. It's hard to ruin a burger, but they somehow managed it. The burger itself was overcooked, the bacon was undercooked, and the so-called sautéed onions were just raw onions. There was nothing sautéed about them. My son ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with a loaded baked potato. I wish I had taken pictures. The bread was toasted, but somehow the cheese inside wasn't even melted. I'm still not sure how that's possible. As for the "loaded" potato, it came with nothing more than cheese and sour cream. That's hardly loaded. My wife's meal was even worse. She had to send it back to the kitchen three different times before it was finally right. You honestly couldn't make this up. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. Consider this your warning--save your time, money, and appetite by eating somewhere else. This is my first time ordering takeout the delivery went ok, but the food didn't come complete, steak was over cooked, burger was missing cheese, we were also missing basic condiments ketchup mayo and ranch requested. I called to sort things out I was transferred to the order department and was on hold for over 25 min. They get a 2 star because the other orders were good. While perusing the menu a person came up to me and told me to move to a 2 top small booth. This is my first time eating here, and the food portions and prices are very nice! Compared to other appetizer trios, this one is the most affordable but also the most tasty. We were looking forward to eating at Cheddar's because friends told us how good it was. The croissants were amazing, but can't say the same for the rest of the meal. Our fabulous server told us not to order the meatloaf, but 2 of our party decided to order it anyway. One thought it was ok, and the other didn't even eat it. (They did take his meal off the tab.) One of our party loved the grilled shrimp. One got the country fried chicken and one got the country fried steak (both with white gravy because they ran out of brown gravy). The white gravy had no flavor and was as thin as milk, and all of our sides were cold. So after I went to another Cheddars and they ruined my evening w raw steaks i received a refund. Went on vacation and sat at the bar got our drinks and waited for the waiter to take our order. He was busy so I waited another couple sat next to is . Instead he waited on two table tops and the came to take the people s orders that just sat next to us!!! I was pissed told him give me my check. Wow he didn't even compt them!! My shock is every time I go to this location. They have one bartender for the entire restaurant. One during rush-hour to dinners to eat lunch. Why can't they afford more bartender? This is ridiculous. And why was he afraid he was being interrupted by the couple they just sat next to us. Why can't tell him hold on. I'll be right With You. I know the reason why because of who they were and that is a wrong reason to net under the customer. I REALLY liked this place! If you've read any of my other reviews, you may remember that I have the hardest time finding a place that can do a quality fish and chips. It's insane. I've been to 20 places, and every time, the fish and chips are just trash. I have a similar problem with finding somewhere that can do a Monte Cristo. They even drop off some honey butter croisants at the beginning. The only knock on Cheddars was that they were unbelievably slow. Like, really unneccesarily slow. Slow to greet us, slow to take the order, SUPER slow to bring the food, slow to bring things we asked for, slow for the bill. Just SLOW. I get it, it says "Scratch kitchen," but even still, they were very, VERY slow to bring everything out. I couldn't finish all the meaty ribs, but they were good. The ribs had a little smoke in them with an evenly browned outer layer and tender juicy meat under that. The fried shrimp were medium sized and were light and crunchy. The salted baked potato was as expected. A good dish with added bang for the buck. Honey Butter Croissant - My server was a little late in bringing out their signature complimentary honey butter croissant so he brought me two just because. If you haven't had one of these at Cheddar's... All I can say is that one should be more than enough but you will always crave a second one even though you know you shouldn't. Cheddar's- after speaking with the manager their nutritional menus doesn't even have an allergy menu which is alarming. I want to order the 1/2 rack of ribs and that's it. The manager said she'll check with the kitchen staff; unfortunately I can't do the ribs because the seasoning has nuts. I can't do anything on the menu because everything is drained in butter and dairy. I can do a piece of salmon and broccoli for $17 is honestly ridiculous. Definitely not returning. Let's see how the food is. Got all our food my salmon is bland and very wet. The broccoli is very dry and chewy. A friend and I had just got done with Sea World and decided to get some lunch so we stopped by Cheddars. I've been to another location before and had a good experience. Unfortunately this time around I can't really say the same. We ordered the queso dip with meat, which was okay nothing special. I ordered the smokehouse burger which has bacon,bbq sauce, tomato and pickles. There was something about this burger that was off to me personally. It didn't taste the best. Something that was kind of confusing to me is we order a second round of their honey croissants and when our server gave it to us he had said that this probably would be hard and not the best and if so let him know and he'll grab us fresh ones. My thing is why did you even bring it out to us then knowing it was hard and not fresh? He was a nice guy but thought that could've been handled better. This location is by the park so it can be pretty busy depending on time, we went around lunch time and was on the quieter side. Ribs came off the bone easily but a little burnt on edges. The fries were amazing! My salmon was served on bed of rice and generally sweet. Somehow they gave me carrots, so had to notify to get fixed. The 'loaded' baked potato was just sour cream and cheese? We order the fried apple pie with ice cream. Fairly good, although the apple pie did taste like a McD one. Service was so so. Waitress was friendly, but did not circulate as much as the food deliverers or clean up crew. Also the units on the table are useless...it readily accepts food orders (we added dessert they thru it) and payments. Buy the 'Call server' feature? It only lights up the LED bar on top of the console. NO ONE came by . This my first time ever eating at a Cheddars so I don't know if this is particularly normal, but it was super busy, which I am sure is normal for a Saturday, but it felt a little suffocating because it seems like the tables are really packed in. We came here with a large party and the waitress handled all of it so well. If you have a large group I suggest going right when they open. The inside is like a nice country kitchen and they have tablets like chilis. (Bonus for parents) Now to the food....HUGE portions. I got the chicken strip meal and it came with 5 strips!!! and 2 sides. I'm used to just 3 strips and fries so I was shocked how BIG the portions were. You could definitely share. The chicken was well cooked and nice breading. The fries were great and I got broccoli as a side, it could have been cooked another minute or 2 but it was still good! Everyone else enjoyed their food too. I would definitely go back to try something different!
