I've heard great things about this restaurant back at home (New Orleans); however, I'm not sure I loved this here in Orlando. I do commend the restaurant for accommodating our party of 27 on such a short notice. We reserved about an hour before and it only took about 20 minutes to get a table upon arrival. Their complimentary croissants were delicious! So hot, buttery, and flaky! They put a slightly sweet glaze on top. However, I was not a fan of my ribeye entrée. The steak was SO bland and a little too chewy. It tasted like all traces of seasoning/salt were nonexistent. Broccoli was extremely bland as well. My cheddar broccoli rice was okay. I thought it could've been slightly creamier. Also tried the Buffalo chicken wrapper. It was pretty good! The chicken was fried well and crunchy! Overall, I'd give this place another try out my way! My family and I are from Jersey and were visiting Orlando for a few days. I follow a YouTuber who posts lifestyle content and consistently she would go to this restaurant. Rather than going to restaurants that are already in Jersey I had a taste for something different. I convinced my family to go and my goodness we were full as ticks. The food was absolutely amazing! Now I see why that YouTuber went so often. Our waitress Sierra was very patient with us since we were new and she insisted we try the croissants, very delicious. I wish I had took pictures of our food but we were so hungry (we got a collection of ribs, chicken, shrimp and a T-bone steak. We all shared our plates of food which tasted incredibly fresh and well seasoned. Somehow we had room for dessert so we initially got the cookie which was okay. The cookie sundae didn't really taste homemade (in comparison to back home at Pizzeria UNO we would get the Deep Dish Cookie Sundae). Then Sierra was kind enough to offer another better tasting dessert. We opted for the fudge cake sundae and it did not disappoint. Not bad for a chain restaurant in the middle of Orlando. I've never been to a Cheddar's, but when my friend recommended it as a place to take our families after a competition, I agreed as it appeared to be a place that could handle a large party full of kids. We were a party of 11, and we were seated within 20 minutes. The waiting area was clean and big, and there was a large fish tank to entertain the kids. They have a big menu with a decent amount of choices for the kids. My son had a junior cheeseburger with fries. He thought the bun was hard, so he did not enjoy it. My daughter had the kids tender meal, and she seemed to like it enough. The kids loved the honey croissants served beforehand. I had the country fried chicken with the broccoli casserole and mashed potatoes. It was overall fine, very comforting food. But it was way too salty. And the bottom of the chicken was not crispy. My food was certainly not hot on delivery. However, my friend who got the chicken pot pie said her food was so hot, she burned her mouth. Service was not as fast as I'd hoped, but I admit that the restaurant was very full with lots of large parties. Our server was very nice and attentive, and she certainly tried her best in the trying circumstances. The bathrooms were clean enough but didn't have enough stalls for the restaurant capacity (in my opinion). Three stalls and two sinks isn't a lot for a restaurant that can seat over 200 and has a full bar. The prices are very modest, which is probably the cause of the chain's popularity. This is probably my most favorite cheddars location. The service is always impeccable and the restaurant is always clean. I went here after my friend and I went to an event at the convention center and not pictured was her fried fish and my salmon. I always get theblackened salmon when I go with the teriyaki sauce and it never disappoints. The portions are pretty large and we ordered way too many appetizers ...big mistake. Everyone left with to-go boxes of their entrees. I'd recommend the onion rings and any chicken tender type items- both were breaded perfectly, well seasoned and not greasy. Unfortunately, the classic cheeseburger I ordered was nothing special , and arrived a little overcooked. However, our waitress was attentive and came back to refill our drinks often. she also brought out a huge birthday dessert for us all to share for my birthday. Ironically, the dessert was completely devoured by all despite everyone leaving with to-go boxes in hand. My family was seated and Ashley was our server who later forgot to turn in our order and this is why we sat for an hour and a half and watched 3 six tops be seated get their appitizers AND meals and we sat there waiting. Called Ron the manager and he comped our "meal" 25 percent off. Well that right there was NOT good enough for me. I wrote to corporate who in turn was apologetic but I will not be back. My son still wound up paying almost a hundred dollars. I would have been satisfied with just paying for our few appitizers and drinks that actually made it to the table than for him to have paid almost a hundred dollars. Corporate did write me back and sent a gift certificate but it will go to my son because I will not be back. Cheddars in Melbourne FL has also gone downhill. My boss went there was seated waited and hour no server came over to help get drinks so they walked out never to return. 6/13/2023: updating my review. I used to love their pot pies which were so loaded with chicken that you couldn't eat it all. My mom and I both ordered the pot pies. There was two tiny pieces of chicken in each one. The gravy had very little taste if any may be the flavor of flour. The vegetables definitely tasted canned. I can definitely tell the difference between frozen peas, fresh peas, and canned peas and these had both the color and the flavor of canned. I had gotten a side of corn because I used to love their corn although sometimes it could be very salty and then I couldn't eat it but when it was good, it was very very good is corn had a very odd flavor to it worse than canned The appetizer trio was pretty good, nothing ultra special but passable. The croissants were OK, but not as good as they used to be there was no fluff inside. It was just the outside hard shell Well I will brag on is the service. A server from another area took us on because there wasn't anyone in our area at the time, and she was very good considering overworked in the server who did work in that area was also standing and helping out whenever she could so we were very happy with the service just pretty unhappy with the food I do not think will be back read more

We are on vacation. Had Cheddars in Orlando for the very first time and it was amazing!! So so good! Headed back home and saw there was one in GA on our route so we stopped. Totally different experience. Server was nice and attentive. My grilled chicken was like rubber tho. Tasted fake. My daughter had chicken pot pie and hers was the same. This was the first time I have ever been to a Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen and if they are all like this one, I really hope to find one that is closer to me in the future. When I got here there was a ten minute wait but I didn't mind because everywhere around was mobbed. Once we were sat down, we were greeted rather quickly and given a few of their honey butter croissants. I could easily eat ten of these things because of how amazing they are! They were perfectly flaky and warm throughout! For my main meal I decided to get the lemon pepper chicken and it came with rice and two sides. I decided to get the broccoli cheese casserole and the Idaho mashed potatoes. I have never had casserole that was as amazing as this one, from any restaurant. I have been dreaming about it every day since I went! The cheese was perfectly flavored and the broccoli had some of the best give to it because it was cooked perfectly. The lemon pepper chicken was phenomenal and came with two very nice sized pieces. The chicken was cooked perfectly as well and the seasoning was amazing! Cheddar's is known for making everything from scratch. We were about to find out how good this really is. We came in on a late Friday night. There was still a little line for the dinner rush ended up waiting for about 45min. We got our table for a party of 9 and were given menus right away. Drink orders were taken and brought over with those delicious honey croissants. So glad some people in our group were watching calories so a few of us could have second servings on those sweet croissants. The $11.29 Grilled Chicken Salad was tasty. The glazed pecans were sweet and crunchy. The grilled chicken was nicely cooked nice to eat with the cheddar and jack cheese giving a nice punch to the semi bitter greens. There also was the honey mustard dressing I asked for to be put on the side. I tasted it but didn't use it. I found the salad sweet and tasty without it. Mog P. had the $13.49 Grilled Shrimp Alfredo. Although it was a little salty I found it tasty. Still delicious and I would definitely order it again. The cheesy garlic bread was good too and helped to bring the saltiness down. I was with a group of friends and had the opportunity to taste some of their dishes. Overall I thought they were good too. The $9.99 Chicken Pot Pie was better than I thought. I'm not particularly fond of pot pies but I actually enjoyed this. It also comes with a house salad. Pretty good deal. Sirloin Steak $10.99 came with rice and broccoli was not a bad deal. Rice was buttery and the broccoli tender. This to me was okay. This was a 6oz steak. For $3.00 more you can get an 8oz. That would be a good choice if you're hungry unless you want to leave some room for dessert. Salmon Caesar Salad $12.99 was excellent as well. First of all, I would like to express my sadness about them removing their onion rings from their menu. I know it's not their fault but I am heartbroken!!! Lol I've ordered to-go here a couple times and picked it up curbside. Food is ready at the time they say it will be, or if you order it in person, it comes out pretty fast. They never really miss anything or get the food wrong. I came to dine in with my husband. They didn't look very busy at all in the dining room (but still could have been busy if they were short staffed.) The hosts were having a conversation while walking away from each other, as one of them was seating us which was very awkward to follow. We were seated in a comfy booth and the server did take quite a while to stop by our table. It did give us time to look over the menu though, so when she got there, we were ready. I love that they come to the table initially with some of those amazing croissants and small plates to start with. You can add 2 more for $2! So worth it! Food came out pretty dang fast! The cheese bites were soooo good. Perfectly crispy and great with their ranch. I got the chicken and coconut shrimp and my husband got the country fried chicken. Both entrees came with two sides. We weren't fond of the green beans as they had an odd taste to them and the mashed potatoes were okay but they were very obviously microwaved as they had that hard film around them like when you microwave something for a little too long. The country fried chicken itself was great though and so we're my chicken tenders. Coconut shrimp was very overdone and hard, almost inedible. We took half our food to go, and the server even gave us more croissants for no charge which was awesome!! Our server was pleasant and kind but the food was decent at best. First the food was great but after watching the bartender (girl with blue in her hair) serve other people drinks I was disgusted how she was handing the fruits she put in the drinks. This female bartender was grabbing the fruit with her bare hands with no tongs or gloves near by. I approached the manager about this and she confirmed its policy and they can do that which is false I never seen a bartender use there bare hands that is very unsanitary. Reading others' reviews of Cheddar's seems so far off from what we experienced today. We are staying in a hotel nearby and decided to grab some lunch after a really humid walk along a nearby trail (LOL). It seems like the area caters hard to tourists so there are an abundance of options to eat, drink, and be merry - and parking doesn't seem to be an issue anywhere, so far as I could tell. It was probably about 1PM on a Monday and there was no wait for a table. Our server (and I cannot remember his name for the life of me, but he had a mask with "OwO" on it) was there nearly immediately to say hello and offer up a couple of different beverage options. I ended up getting a strawberry lemonade and BF got an iced tea and both were super refreshing on a hot day. He also dropped off a couple of croissants drizzled with a honey butter glaze, which were so fresh and delicious - I could totally see myself pigging out on these lol. Much of the menu kind of feels like it would be better suited for dinner, but they did offer a few sandwich, soup, and salad options. My BF ordered the coconut shrimp with broccoli and potatoes and I chose the Monte Cristo - mainly because it was something that I have never tried and it looked super interesting on the menu. While waiting, I got the chance to take in my surroundings. I'm assuming that Cheddar's is a chain out in Florida and would guess that each location is pretty similar as far as atmosphere and has a similar standard for food. The restaurant itself was clean and had a pretty open layout that appears to cater to families and larger parties while also having a good sized cocktail/bar area (which is where we were sat) for couples or friends or whatever that just want to pop in for a drink and appetizers or a more "grown up" dining experience. The restrooms were also clean and well stocked, which I always appreciate. I personally feel like clean restrooms say a lot about a place. Our lunch came to the table pretty quickly and was super hot and fresh. My BF loved his shrimp and I was more than pleasantly surprised by how good the flavor combo was in my sandwich. I never would have paired this with a fruit jam, but it was so yummy! Our plates were piled with food and neither one of us were able to finish. For the price point, I feel that this was a great deal. It certainly wasn't the healthiest of meals, but we walked out with full bellies and smiles. I always get the same pasta dinner. New Orleans. Tonight was the worst. the pasta had no sauce, very dry. Usually it has too much sauce. The chicken pieces were so tuff, could not chew. We were meeting family for dinner in Orlando and asked them what would be good around our hotel. They mentioned Cheddars and how great it was so we decided to give them a try. Ambience and Location: It reminds me of a fancier Green Mill or Granite City. The menu is a mixture of comfort food such as Ribs, Chicken Fingers (called Critters here), Pasta, and Sandwiches. They are a quick walk from either Seaworld and Aquatica and across the street from the Doubletree Resort. Service: Service was exceptional. Prompt, friendly, and hard working. Our server came over multiple times to see how we were doing and to make sure that everything was going well. Drinks: Upon entering and walking past the tables to our seats, I noticed that a lot of people were drinking something from a large goblet rimmed with toasted coconut. I looked at the menu to see that it was called Cheddar's Painkiller. It isn't your typical tiki painkiller but boy is it good. Creamy coconut and pineapple flavors mix to make a smooth tasting and delicious drink. Food: I was told by my relatives who live locally that the best way to go with Cheddars is to order from their combos menu. You get a choice of numerous entrees such as chicken critters, coconut shrimp, steak, or chicken and two sides. I had the chicken critters and coconut shrimp with a side of broccoli cheese casserole and coleslaw. The shrimp were great and the chicken tenders were awesome. Big, juicy pieces of chicken lightly breaded and fried - these were not the frozen from the bag variety. I also cannot forget the free croissants with honey butter that were delivered to our table when we sat down. Warm and crispy and covered in a honey butter sauce, yum! Price Vs Quality - This is an A+ for me. Prices were extremely reasonable and you got a bunch of food for the price. I cannot stress this enough, other places of this caliber easily get away with charging $20 - 30ish bucks for their plates and Cheddars cuts those costs in 1/2. I was absolutely surprised by the final check on how affordable our dinner was. Quick seating available, didn't appear too busy around 6:30pm on a weekday. You can order apps & desserts from the tablet on the table and then the meal from the server. When the hostess sat us down, that would've been something good to know, instead of waiting for the server that took our main course order and added our appetizers on the tablet. Then our food came BEFORE the appetizers. Service is not bad but not good either. There were no suggestions to enhance our experience and he mixed up one of our drink orders. Didn't see him for some time, was able to flag him down to correct the drink, at which time he asked how we're doing. The restaurant looked good and clean. With that said, the food...very, very good!
