My family frequent this restaurant quite often and we are happy to continue to do so due to the fact that the service , food and atmosphere is simply perfect! The owner is always on- hand to help and assist and greet which always goes a long way and the staff is consistently cordial and friendly! From the awesome happy hour ( M-Thu only ) - great wings and fries and mini burger specials and drinks to boot to their always reliable dinner options that spans everything from delicious burgers - fries - specials - with solid appetizer selections. For this review we sat at the bar ( my wife and I always do when our son is out and about ) and ordered the very delicious shrimp with mash potato's and I ordered the excellent roasted chicken dish with mash and string beans - the chicken was cooked perfectly and very tender and moist which is never easy to accomplish bit they do here ! They serve brunch which to be honest have not been to but it always is crowded for that so make a reservation for sure !

Convenient spot for dinner close to the park with quality menu pieces. The wine and Arnold Palmer were actually pretty good! The steak was dry (but my dad ordered well, so what else should he expect)! Pasta was filling and flavorful! I think the entrees were a little overpriced, but you're paying for the convenience and location!

I love love Hamilton so I couldn't wait to try Hilltop Tavern the next time I was home. Such a cute and cozy vibe. I love the rectory benches. We tried the brunch menu. Delicious! The corned beef hash was flavorful, not salty and the kind of comfort food that will keep you coming back. The poached egg hollandaise with smoked salmon is another winner in my book. They don't serve spirits but they are so creative with the cocktail menu! If you're in the area, definitely add this place to your brunch bucket list! The staff is also welcoming and helpful!

Hilltop Tavern is a cute, inviting place for brunch on the weekend. The service is excellent, and the food is tasty. My friend and I had burgers that were juicy and the plate was filled with salad and potatoes as sides. The waitress was attentive and the prices reasonable. Will definitely come back again for a meal when in the area.

What a GEM! I cannot believe I've lived around the park this long and never been to Hilltop Tavern! My family and I sat outside and had an absolutely lovely dinner. The service was outstanding from the hostess to our servers and beyond. Everyone was so friendly and attentive, we never had too much or too little at our table. We started with drinks and fries. My espresso martini was AMAZING, so good I had a second. My husband loved his lemon mocktail and our toddler happily devoured the crispy fries. The vegetarian matzoh ball soup was divine-- just the right amount of salty and savory. The chicken schnitzel was an 11/10 according to my husband, the mashed potatoes and truffle fries were also decadent. We couldn't have had a better time, and we are looking forward to trying more menu items next time!

$7.00- Lavender Spritzer 4/10 I could taste the sizzler, along with a hint of sour and sweet, but the flavors weren't particularly strong.

This place is an ideal spot for brunch. They have ample seating options, both indoors and outdoors. The staff were incredibly friendly.

This was a great place for early dinner with the family. Happy hour prices for drinks and appetizers go until 6 and there is a kids menu and some good desserts. Because they are across the street from a church all drinks are wine or soju based. We will be back for another meal.

Hilltop is a hidden gem. Start your meal with the crispy artichokes and you can't go wrong. The steak frites and the shrimp and grits are delightful. For fans of cassis, I love the kir royale. For dessert- having the "blind" date cake for the first time is like discovering the love of your life. It's that good.

Seating was a little tight. Salad & spinach ravioli too salty. Needed refill of beer to wash it down. Wont be going back to Hilltop.

Let's start with the good - the service and ambiance were on point. I went on a Sunday evening around 7pm. It was busy inside, but since I was a solo diner I was seated immediately by the bar. The servers were friendly and attentive. Probably 3-4 different people checked in multiple times throughout the meal. Where I struggle is with the actual burger itself. As a non-resident New Yorker, for me $22.50 is a lot to spend on a burger and fries. It needs to rock my world at that price point. And it just didn't. I got the B&B Burger. The onion ring tasted like it had been refried a second time to make my burger. The bread was crumbly like it was on the verge of going stale. The actual beef patty itself was decent - good flavor. Usually I can overlook an okay burger if the fries are top notch, but these fries were under-seasoned and also 'just okay'. I also got a side of Chicken Tenders. These were good - no complaints here. I really wanted to like this spot, but not sure this would be a return visit for me.

This place was perfect and its menu was choke full of bargains and bonuses. This place was cute; I mean the bar was front and center and was very impressive but the table seating was charming too. Their lunch menu has a great "build your on burger" which i had a blast doing: Burger Cheddar Cheese Bacon Grilled onions Lettuce Tomato Mayo / BBQ con The service was exceptional, the ambience was very "Taverny [sic]" and my lunch was delicious!

Greetings all, it's been a while but here I am. Let's talk about Emily a quant pizza restaurant…read morethat you could easily walk pass and not know what they sold. Today however it wasn't pizza that brought me here, it was the famous Emmy Burger. To begin with the atmosphere of the restaurant is dim lighting a few tables with a reasonable sized bar in the middle of the room. They also have an open kitchen concept where just past the bar you can see the cooks working. My server Inda was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. My burger was excellent, normally I don't eat my burger with a knife and folk, but in this case with all the cheese and sauce oozing down the sides, not to mention the caramelized onions, it was necessary. (If I were home I wouldn't mind having burger juices running down my arm, but other people were eating in the restaurant also). The tiny pickles which I can't remember the name of were an added treat to the burger. I decided to order mine with the loaded fries. Just imagine the ground burger with all the toppings covering french fries and add melted white cheese. Since I was alone I didn't order a pizza because how would I eat it all, but next time I will try the pizza. I don't mind paying extra for a burger when it's aged beef and the taste is great. I definitely recommend this location. There is a fast food burger restaurant next door to Emily's but I can't imagine there burgers compare. I will try them another time and let you know. That's all for now, see you on my next review.

They say some things age like fine wine, and I believe this restaurant falls in that category. After 55 years, this family oriented fast food shop known for its famous roast beef sandwich and other popular greasy goodness is still standing. I swung by recently for my usuals and glad to report that everything still tasted the same, just slightly more pricey year after year as expected. My regular order has always been the Roast Beef w/ Cheese, which was maybe $4 when I first tasted it over 25 years ago. It is now $9.45 or $.50 less for no cheese. Regardless, the roast beef (medium) is still tender and juicy, piled on top of a soft and pillowy, freshly made bread that's been dunked in a bath of delicious beef gravy. The ooey gooey cheese makes it complete for me. Everything else is solid. Nothing fantastic or worth driving out of your way for. Don't come here looking for the best version of everything on the menu. However, if in the neighborhood, this place is an inexpensive experience that brings you back in time, when the world was less complicated and a night out with family meant a delicious trip to a local restaurant like Roll-N-Roaster. Enjoy it for what it is and you'll have a good time.

Here's where it gets "Sticky (literally)": You probably can't think of a much dirtier place than an airport, subway, public restroom or playground; especially if you going to go to a restaurant where you'll be using your hands to pick up a hamburger, or dipping your French fries in ketchup. So, I arrived first at 7th Street and I asked the cashier where is your restroom where I can tidy up (basically meaning disinfecting my hands). She said we do not have anyplace for that. I thought "What The Hell"!!!!!!! Now, I'm not an O.C.D. guy; but not washing my hands, after touching every rail a subway system has was not going to allow me to eat this lunch with filthy - dirty contaminated hands. Yuzu honey lemonade has bits of citrus at the bottom of the drink and it was refreshing. I saved the chicken bites hours later and it was still pretty crispy after being microwave.
