I needed to get medication for my son -which had to be compounded (instead of pill form - it needed to be in a liquid) and after going around to a number of local pharmacies in the area, CVS, Giant, Safeway even Wegman's no one was able to help. I was told about Whitesells by a friend where I worked with Rebecca and Danielle. These two have been... in a word - Fantastic! Rebecca who does the compounding, is extremely knowledgable about the process, provided me with and excellent education and has been a joy to work with. Danielle is also tremendously nice and helpful which makes the entire experience less stressful. They handle the insurance issues, call you back when they say they are which is important, at least to me. They also have a great medical supply area and just as helpful and professional. Kathy Curran was so thorough helping me navigate through insurance issues and went the extra mile to help. Bottom-Line - I don't even live in the Frederick Area, however, I drive up there in rush-hour 270 traffic to use there services. Could I go somewhere else? Sure, but when you are dealing with prescriptions and medications and other sensitive things, trust and knowledge is important (which they have demonstrated) and at the end of the day just because of something may be more convenient, doesn't make it better.

She also wears her mask down around her chin, like that's going to protect anyone while she prepares their medications. The pharmacy techs are constantly changing at this store. Maybe the horrid demeanor of the pharmacist keeps driving them away. After my experience today, during which she barked "that's not a line" after telling me to switch lines, I will never return here again. This poor woman needs every kind of training. I've cancelled several prescriptions multiple times. When I get a notification that my prescription…read moreis ready for pick up, I assume I'm picking up the right thing because I've cancelled and confirmed with a staff member that the unneeded meds are actually off my account. I don't know if they don't care enough to actually follow through or what the issue is, but also when I pick up they don't tell you what you're picking up before you pay. After you pay for it they won't refund, even if it's their fault for filling something you've cancelled. Shouldn't the pharmacist also be looking at all your prescriptions before they fill it and catching it if you're getting an abnormal amount of the same med? I really don't know, but they just don't seem to care. I would not recommend using this as your pharmacy.

Annoying but not a deal breaker, until I went to redeem the card. It was valued at $1.00 and there was no possibility of disputing the value without both the original and the exchange receipts. Yet another time that Walgreen's policies and practices cost me either time or money.

Honestly, I had no idea that Giant Eagle reached this far. I was shocked when I found one in Bedford, PA, but for one to be here, it threw me. This Giant Eagle is part of a larger plaza, I guess you can say that it is the anchor as it is by far the biggest retailer in the plaza. Parking is ample and can make for a quick entry/exit. Inside it is well organized and everything appeared to be stocked. I didn't look around too much as my mind was on gift cards only. I went straight to that area and started to browse. I have to say, they had a fine selection of gift cards and made choosing one a bit hard. I circled the display a few times before honing in on one section and then stayed there for a few good minutes having an inner debate on which gift card would be most appropriate.
