I've cancelled several prescriptions multiple times. When I get a notification that my prescription is ready for pick up, I assume I'm picking up the right thing because I've cancelled and confirmed with a staff member that the unneeded meds are actually off my account. I don't know if they don't care enough to actually follow through or what the issue is, but also when I pick up they don't tell you what you're picking up before you pay. After you pay for it they won't refund, even if it's their fault for filling something you've cancelled. Shouldn't the pharmacist also be looking at all your prescriptions before they fill it and catching it if you're getting an abnormal amount of the same med? I really don't know, but they just don't seem to care. I would not recommend using this as your pharmacy. read more

I purchased a Omirom blood pressure monitor and I realized the same day that I had picked up the wrong product. The cost of my original monitor was $85.99 and I exchanged it for one priced at $59.99. The exchange went well but, since this was medical equipment, I had to take the $15 difference as a gift card. Annoying but not a deal breaker, until I went to redeem the card. It was valued at $1.00 and there was no possibility of disputing the value without both the original and the exchange receipts. We have consistently received excellent customer service, especially from the pharmacist named Joy Spice, she is quite literally a joy! We get our vaccines here and we frequently stop to pick up any necessities, and the store is always very clean and well stocked! read more

If I could rate a zero I would. Meds are NEVER ready when promised. Only ONE friendly person I've ever run across. Very hard to get a person to answer the phone. And when they do answer they act like your putting them out of their way to do their JOB. I will be transferring all my and my husbands prescriptions and going to Weis on Thomas Johnson Dr. And we have a lot!! Always friendly. Items are in stock most the time and if not by the next day! They sit right next to a Hampton Inns hotel, right off the highway, so we went in for things like bottle water, lysol (we caught some sort of stomach virus while visiting) and snacks. Came out cheaper buying a 6 pack of their Walgreen brand water, than buying 1 bottle of Deer Park. A travel size container of lysol was $3.99 and I found a full size can of the Clorox version for $3.99 so I went with the full size and left the can for my son. Of the three times I went in, during my five day stay in the area, I found the staff to be attentive and one time, seeing my hands full, the clerk offered to hold things at the register until I was ready to check out. read more

This pharmacy is just gone down. This is my second time trying to pick up medicine that was ordered of which I received an email that my medicine was ready for pick up. Then I show up to pick it up and it has to be ordered again. Welp, they had to order the last medicine 3 times and on the 4th, I lost it on the pharmacist on the phone. Stop giving people medicine to other customers. If you ordered it for a customer then that is who it should go too. The store manager tells me on this occurrence, she don't know why thw system sent me an email saying my RX was ready for pick up.‍ Hell I don't know either, but someone had to hit some keys on the keyboard for that email to generate!!! I would give this ZERO stars it if was an option. I had been a customer over 10 plus years getting medication but unfortunately the last 5 months has been horrible not to mention it's always this one woman who answers the phone with a nasty attitude getting pissy immediately since she has to actually do her job. They constantly give out other peoples medication to people and never have prescriptions ready when they are sent in. Never had this problem before 5mons ago. I will NEVER be going there again! They need to get better management before they upset someone who has nothing to lose since they also act like they don't care about people either, especially knowing they suffer without their medication. I will start out by saying I love Walgreens sales and point system but for some reason this Walgreens can't get it right. I go there when it's a sale i checkout and the sale items don't ring up on sale. They say the sale prices are not downloaded in our system than why are the sale signs up! Why does this happen every time I come here and purchase a sales item. I ordered holiday cards on December 14th and they are suppose to be picked up December 15th at 9am. I go to pick up my holiday cards at 6pm and they tell me I was suppose to get a call this morning saying they have no more ink. The supervisor apologized but that's not enough she also offered me 30% off but they have a coupon for that so basically she did nothing for my in-convince. read more

Every month I am lied to about when my prescription will be ready last month it was an hour and I had to go back up there for it to be done while I waited! Again today I was told by 2:30 and it's not done so looks like I'll have to head up there after work again! Where Rx customer service is not a priority. Literally it seems like everyone behind the RX counter was busy trying to avoid the customers. Went to pick up an RX, it was not ready, was told name would be called. After 1/2 hour no announcement so I went went back and was told it might be the following day until the approval came in. For some reason, each time I've come in here has been me rushing in 15 or 20 minutes before closing. Other stores immediately tell you they're closing soon and rush you out but not here. The cashiers are always professional and polite. On my last visit, there were 2 ladies working. When I finished my transaction, the one not behind the register said she walk outside and stand at the door to make sure I got in my car safely (out of her own initiative). I thought that was awesome of her, and made me feel like there are still nice people in the world. I wish I'd gotten her name so I could call corporate about her! This Frederick location has been my only experience with Walgreens and I've found that the store is well stocked and neat. I went yesterday to fill a prescription and Austin the pharmacist said he couldn't fill my meds bc I've been taking the meds so long he wanted to speak to my dr and get my diagnosis codes and surgery dates. Being it was my 30th day for my scrip I waited two hours for my dr to call back. He didn't bc it's a 24/48 hr turn around. So I left and went somewhere else after giving him a few choice words. This morning my doctor calls me and tells me never to use that pharmacy again. Austin violated my rights by asking those questions. My dr office sits two blocks from there and they are now not going to allow their patients to use them. My dr is a neuroscientist. I think he knows more then a Pharmacist. The former Rite Aid on Key Parkway, Frederick was take over by Walgreens. I used to go in and pick up my prescription and most of the time, no lines. That's no longer the case. Long lines are now the rule, not the exception because now both pickup and drop off of prescriptions are handled by the same counter. Rite Aid had a dedicated counter for drop offs but Walgreens has dumped both functions on a single counter and the result is long delays while new prescriptions are processed while those just trying to pick up their filled prescriptions wait. Classic example of corporate regime change blowing up once was an efficient process. I miss Rote Aid. read more

Every time I go to pick up my prescription I sit there for 1hr-1hr 1/2. I even call ahead. They tell me it will be another 10-15minutes when I go to the window and that they will call my name. This last visit they never did. I watched the line get longer and other people being told to wait and all of them come and go for an hour and a half. They never called my name. Eventually I went back up to the window and it took them a minute or two to get it. I'm pretty sure they just forget about me while others come and go for over an hour. Once or twice I can understand but not every time. I asked if there was anything I can do to avoid this and they said to call ahead, which I do. Since TriCare For Life dropped CVS and contracted to Walgreens, obtaining my meds has been frustrating, to say the least! We are leaving on a long journey abroad, made sure that I would have all necessary meds - well thought so. Today, went to pick up three prescriptions, each is a 90 day supply which I pick up every three months on the 21st. Called them last week to verify picking up meds today. One of prescriptions they don't have (and I'm out) so they called Hagerstown (30 miles each way) and we have to pick it up there. A second prescription they had 2 months supply, have to pick up third month tomorrow. So basically they got 1 out of 3 correct. This is after earlier this month, I received an email that my migraine meds there was an insurance issue. Meds I've been taking for 20 years. First, insurance wouldn't pay for it because it said 18 pills for 18 days instead of 18 pills for 30 days (allowable), and second because it hadn't been 30 days, which will be 9/25. So for this error they said my cost was $331.00. No! I'll pick it up 9/25 for $18.00. They said, please call us several days before so we can have it in stock! Right, this seems to work! read more

The only reason I'm giving them a star is because I have to. They don't know what they are doing. My Dr called in my prescription 4 times each time getting a verification email from Walgreens pharmacy. But, every time I called they said they did t have it. On the 5th and final time I was told they had it and it would be ready in 30 min. Over a hour later my boyfriend goes to pick it up and AGAIN they had the wrong prescription reading. I wanted to talk to them and they wouldnt talk to me unless I called the store. So I hung up with my boyfriend and he left and not even 5 min later I had someone on the phone stating they had the right prescription and it was ready. This place is a joke! No one knows what they hell they are doing or what's going on. They only reason I use Walgreens is because CVS don't accept Tri Care any more. But this is B'S! And Wal-Mart, I might hate the wait, but at least you guys know WTF your doing! read more

I am fairly new as a resident here in Frederick, Maryland. It took me a few months to finally find a pharmacy covered by insurance that also has a knowledgeable and caring Pharmacy and customer service staff. Unlike other pharmacies in the area which, sadly, are staffed with rude uncaring individuals and rarely keep their shelves stocked at even a minimally acceptable level, this pharmacy at Walgreens in Frederick Maryland amazingly seems to have my regular medications stocked. Additionally the staff is always very professional, very helpful and a team of people in which I feel I can bestow my trust as it relates to that side of my health care. I saved over $20 every 30 days by using Walgreens vs CVS. For a different medicine it only cost me $3 for 90days vs $3 for 30 days at CVS. But now my insurance changed from Prime Theraputics to Medco. Walgreens has worked hard to help me get my medicine with Medco from $700 to the $3 I paid with Prime Theraputics. They have done calls and even researched where I could get the medicine for rest of life lower than $700 with Medco. They have gone above what they needed to do since the issue is beyond them and an issue within Medco (avoid medco unless you are rich, and don't bother with their appeals process, the doctor could have arrived at medco in person and it will not make a difference, but they will keep having you have doctor send in form after form, finally I got somebody in medco say they will keep the form faxing going forever and they will not budge on the $700/30days for medicine. Pharmacy at counter they answer questions and call be back with answers if it required research. They also called in person that my cancer medicine had not been refilled and if I had found a less than $700/mo cost yet. They are very patient with me while I'm relearning words and speaking better. I have never felt rushed or cut off in person or via phone. read more
