We passed through Seligman on our way to Vegas see the inspiration for Cars and of course drive along Route 66. We were a bit hungry and decided to grab a hot dog at Highway Hot Dog. Highway Hot Dog has a mom and pop feel. They are friendly and quick with the orders. I had a chili dog which had a perfect ratio of chili and onions. My friend ordered the corn dog and enjoyed it. Definitely worth the stop to get something quick and won't break the bank,

The wieners are bigger than you appear in length and the perfect girth. The meat sauce is tasty and over all a great experience. Nice cozy interior and plenty of outdoor seating as well. Service and ambiance was great! Take cash and card and parking is easy.

One word for this place: WOW. Drive through this quirky little town and we were starving and while we expected to get food, i did NOT expect to get perhaps the best pastrami sandwich i think ive ever had! Incredibly friendly staff, a super funky atmosphere with tons of gifts and swag and the aforementioned pastrami sandwich which came of this hot and soft bun, perfectly cooked and juicy. Our two kids ordered the corn dogs and thy said it was the best corn dog they've had, high praise from boys ages 5 and 8! We were told the corn dogs are never frozen and i believe them. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and highly recommended

What a fun, quintessential Route 66 stop! We absolutely loved our visit to Delgadillo's Snow Cap…read more The first thing you notice is the incredibly colorful, vibrant exterior. There are so many fun, photo-worthy spots out front, including the quirky vintage car that my son had to get a picture with. The covered patio was also perfect -- we happened to visit during some Arizona rain, but I imagine it's just as appreciated for shade on a hot sunny day. There are lots of brightly painted picnic tables and benches, and we even made friends with a sweet little local cat who was lounging on one of them. That alone made my son's day. The treats were genuinely excellent. My son had a root beer float and loved both the root beer and the ice cream. I had the banana shake, and it was easily the best banana shake I had all weekend -- and I tried several! I especially loved that it had actual pieces of fresh banana throughout rather than just banana flavoring. But the real Snow Cap experience is the humor. The gentleman behind the counter gave us plenty of personal attention and kept the jokes and gags coming the entire time. At one point he pretended to squirt mustard all over my son's shirt! I actually gasped before realizing the "mustard" was just a yellow string shooting out of the bottle! When we asked for a straw, he handed us a handful of literal straw. And when we asked for napkins, we got another whole routine about whether we wanted "yesterday's" napkin or "today's." Silly, corny, completely unexpected, and exactly the kind of Route 66 roadside humor that makes a stop memorable. My son is also fascinated by Guinness World Records, so he was especially impressed to learn that the Snow Cap holds the Guinness World Record for the largest display of milkshake varieties-- 266 different varieties! There was something especially meaningful about visiting during Route 66's centennial year. We had literally just come from next door, where we visited Angel Delgadillo's historic barbershop and museum and met Angel's daughter Clarissa. To walk from there directly over to Juan Delgadillo's Snow Cap and support another part of this remarkable family's Route 66 legacy felt really special. The Delgadillo family has played such an important role in keeping the history and spirit of Route 66 alive, and we felt genuinely honored to experience a little piece of it ourselves. Great shakes, great atmosphere, wonderfully goofy humor, tons of personality, and Route 66 history everywhere you look. We would absolutely stop here again the next time we're in Seligman.

The staff were funny, interactive, and witty. They're quick on their feet, so you better think fast! There was a very nostalgic feel to the place and the decor was cool. The food came out quickly and was pipping hot! There is only outdoor seating, so you can bring your dogs. What was only okay and the reason for the 4 stars - I think this place is overhyped. The food was what I would expect from a fast food diner. Nothing special or exciting, which is disappointing based on all the good reviews. The line wasn't that long - there were maybe 5 people in front of us, and it took 15-20 minutes for us to order. I can only imagine how long the wait would be on a busy day.

There was a really nice young man who was helping out around the restaurant and gave us (we're older, seniors) a great feeling about the future of America. I have a feeling if we come back in 20 years he'll be running the place. :) We had the Dead Meat Treat, omelet, hashbrowns and 2 buttermilk pancakes. The food was delicious and we got some cool photos and, of course, our Passport stamp.

It definitely embraces the "roadkill" theme, with all of the decorations around the inside, as well as all of the fun names. The place has this "roadhouse" vibe. In addition to the restaurant, they also have a gift shop, of course, with all kinds of neat souvenirs, Route 66 and otherwise. I got my sister-in-law a "roadkill Café" shot glass, and I had to get a roadkill Café T-shirt for myself. We had the "one eyed dog got hit in the fog." very generous portions of rib sticking good food. We really enjoyed our breakfast. The price was reasonable. The employees were very friendly, and they came by regularly to check on us. Thanks for a fun and very good breakfast.
