While on the way to Phoenix for a trip, we stoped at Dazzos while passing through Wikiup. The restaurant had the feel of a town diner/dive. Lots of random decor on the walls, Food The menu had more options than you would have thought. I went with a pastrami sandwich, cheeseburger, hot dogs, fries, and macaroni nuggets. The pastrami was surprisingly good. The Swiss and pickles were plentiful. There was no spicy mustard, so I settled for yellow mustard. The hot dog was on a very tasty bun with black seeds. Overall, much better than I expected given the options. Service Staff were friendly and the food came out quick. That's as much as you can ask for. Ambiance The ambiance is not a surprise given the location. Nice to see businesses with personalities. Definitely stop for a bite if you are in Wikiuo and are famished. After placing our order at the counter, we were given a number and our food was brought out promptly. We opted to sit outside to soak in the beautiful weather and scenic view, but the indoor seating is just as inviting, with plenty of visual interest to take in while you eat. We ordered the Italian beef sandwich and the Philly cheesesteak, both generously loaded and delicious. The fries were a great side, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable--especially considering gas in the area was nearly $5 a gallon. After driving by this place a million times (not literally). We decided to stop in and grab lunch on our way home from Phoenix. Ordered 2 Italian beef, 1 with fries and the other with onion rings. And we were pleasantly surprised at how good the sandwich was. It was so big I only ate a 1/3 of it. The onion rings were great, crunchy and not over battered or fried. The fries were ok, but I like crunchy fries so they could have been done a little more, but that won't stop us from stopping again in the future. The service was fast and very friendly as well. As I waited for our food I looked around and they had some fun things in there such as different hot sauces, jerky's, chips, jams and even peanuts. I didn't venture to the store part, but based on everything I did see they probably have some fun stuff there too. If you ignore all the blatant political propaganda here, you're truly in for some great Chi-town eats. Whether you get a classic Chicago dog or a Maxwell St. Polish, you will not be disappointed. They serve other items here like burgers and sides, but we only ever stop by for their dogs. No sharing drinks, and you only get one refill per cup. If you think you can use the bathroom without being a patron, guess again. That will cost you a dollar. This little gem sitting off the main highway in the city of Wikieup is unique. They're right in between Kingman and Wickenburg, and they have a huge trinket shop sttached next door. Don't forget to look for the Sleeping Maiden mountain formation across the highway. She's the Te Fiti of the desert. They also have a much closer location here in Glendale that accepts cash if you don't want to make the journey over here. But if you're going to and from Las Vegas, it's well worth spending a tenner on two wieners. read more

I moved to Kingman Arizona from the northwest side of Chicago 5 years ago. The food in Kingman is not great but everytime i head down toward phoenix I make a point to stop in at Dazzo's. Everything I have tried there is absolutely fantastic and authentic. I've met the owner in the past and they are really nice people as well as the rest of the staff. Always super friendly. I was just there a beef sandwich a few days ago and picked up some Dazzo's hot giardenir. Can't find that anywhere out here. Next time I'm buying that Trump " You missed!" t-shirt. My wife and I ate here yesterday. So many choices!! I had expected a limited menu but it was far from limited. My wife had a cheesesteak and I had the meatball sub, we split an order of onion rings, and we each got a fountain drink. The food was marvelous!! Her sandwich had just the right amount of peppers, cheese, and steak. My meatball sub was covered with melty, gooey, delicious cheese!! The meatballs were the perfect consistency and seasoned just right. The sauce was bold but not overpowering. The bun was a bun, but it was a good bun. Service was fast and polite. I am still not convinced this place was real and not a mirage! It popped up in the middle of a desert! I spent 40 years back in Chicago and now everytime I go visit my son at NAU I get to go back home as well. The Beef and dogs were authentic and done to perfection but to top it off they also had Pizza Puffs!!! Sorry, something I have only found back home in Chicago that acts like a desert to the main courses. Wow, this has to be the best place to stop on your way to Vegas or your way back from Vegas if you are going from or back to Phoenix. Great out of the way spot that comes up on you real fast if you don't pay attention. Great early hours. I had the Italian Beef with extra giardiniera served wet with hand cut fries. OMG, what a great sandwich and didn't lack anything. Fries were done exactly the way they should be.I was in Italian beef heaven. I'm excited to try the other location in Glendale (same family but different) . This spot is at an RV park with a drive through but don't drive through. We were starving and stopped on our way back from Laughlin, with our dog in tow. Not being able to leave him in the car I ran to check out the menu and report back to my waiting boyfriend. I happened to tell the man at the register (the owner!) what I was doing and he told me to go get the dog and come in and eat! We did just that. JIm ordered a traditional brat and I got a veggie burger. He said his brat was cooked perfect and my veggie burger was perfect- in that I could eat something @ a hot dog place!
