Originally my plan was to make a stop here in Bagdad and play a quick nine at the local golf course. On my way to Mesquite Nevada. However because of weather, the golf course was closed. So I decided to grab breakfast before heading back out. I ordered the two eggs, bacon, home style potatoes, and toast. Everything was great, service was great, and the price was very reasonable. The potatoes are very recommended, it was just really good. I'll be back for sure, to get a chance and play that golf course. And I'll make sure to stop off and grab a meal from the diner. read more

Sunday ride from Phoenix to Bagdad via Yarnell. Retro diner appealing from the road. Sat down pretty quick with a friendly wait staff. Chili cheese dog and a cup of water. Waited over 1 hour to get my food. It was okay, but what do you expect for a dog. No idea why it took so long. Didn't seem busy. read more

I have probably eaten at this restaurant at the old and new location 100 times I haven't worked in Bagdad for 10 years There is rock crawling today in Bagdad Az. The server walked by me twice to serve "motorcyclists " that have been here before and will never be back again What business model is this?? When I went to the stacked enchilada, my friends told me a bunch of food truck parasas from Phoenix bought the restaurant. Now it makes sense. Don't go it is not worth it! read more

A reproduction of the classic American roadside diner. Shiney and well kept with a retro sign above. Clean interior and restrooms. Food is just "OK". Service was incredibly slow. Yes it was a busy Saturday, but management knows they will get slammed on a day like that and should staff accordinngly. Our waitress was doing double duty from making drinks, handling orders, serving orders, and cashing us out. Menu is what you would expect. read more

A beautiful 50's diner that serves really good food. The staff are friendly and our food came fast. I had the veggie omelette and it was very nicely done. Portions are big! We flew our small airplanes into the local airport and the owners picked us up, very friendly people! read more

Not only is the food great, the staff are absolutely wonderful. Big portions, they don't have an issue with custom orders, and it all tastes great. I eat here often, the only issue I have is they aren't always open for dinner lol but seriously, I highly suggest it! read more

Seated quickly, super friendly staff. Place was simple and clean....however, the wait. Over one hour (no exaggeration) for a patty melt. The food was hot and tasty,but, the place was not busy. It seems like they were getting a lot of to go orders while forgetting to serve those who were in the restaurant. read more

Everything you think a diner should be. Burgers, Fries, shakes, and BLTs. An open faced double cheeseburger smothered in Chili with Jalapenos and Onions... All looked amazing. I settled on the BLT with Tomato Soup. (Don't ask for the cup of soup or they look at you funny... it only comes in one size... BIG!) The place is ran by fun and attentive people ensuring that you get all that you order and give you some grief if you can't make up your mind... just like your mom would! Hint: Come hungry and bring Cash. The prices are good and these ladies really deserve their tips. read more

Rode my bike out here, through the stunning spring desert. Just beautiful. I had read about this place, popular with bikers. As I rolled into town, I saw the diner and there had to be 50 bikes outside. So, now to the food. I had the patty melt on sourdough and onion rings. The patty melt came with 2 patties on it. It was cooked well and very tasty. The onion rings were awesome and generous portion. Service was great. Out in the sticks, but they know how to take care of their customers! Will definitely be back soon. read more

Our Miata Club did a drive up to Bagdad on Saturday. All 38 of us had lunch at the Diner on Main in Bagdad. I think they were a bit overwhelmed. We were told that with this many, service would be a bit slow as their kitchen is not large and the kitchen staff is small. Well, they were right about that, several tables who got their orders in first, were finished with their meal long before my table got ours (we were the last to order). But, no one cared. All the dishes ordered were done well, not rushed. The food was very good and the portions were large. Most took take away boxes with them. I had a turkey club sandwich on wheat toast...hold the mayo. Sandwich was very good, could hardly get my mouth around the thing. Came with more fries than I could eat...they were good also. Those at my table had: chili, burgers, curly fries, everyone liked what they had and took left overs with them. I do not know the city of Bagdad at all, but I do know that this is the best place to eat. Well, it is also the only place I have eaten in Bagdad. If you are there or on your way, stop by, you will be happy and full. read more

Rode to Bagdad to check out the town and Diner. Had a deluxe omelette that was very large and fantastic. The whole wheat bread is very unique, fresh and thick. The waitress said a lot of folks buy a whole loaf it's so good. The service was great and the employees smiled and seemed very nice. A Great breakfast experience. read more

A cool old-school diner in the 40s era motif was built in this quaint old Arizona mining town on the main drag and it was a breath of fresh air. On my big bike "The Beast", cruised into town with my little doggie Popcorn on the tank and spotted this diner - decided to give it a shot and it was totally fun. Really friendly waitresses and staff. Food was great - even Popcorn was welcome and yes, she enjoyed a few of my french fries. Try this place - you'll like it. read more

If you do the scenic drive up to Bagdad, stop in at the Diner on Main.... but come hungry as the portions are huge! The atmosphere was a pleasant diner experience, and the service was home town friendly. Also the food was great! read more

Established in 2009.

The Diner on Main is a family owned and operated restaurant in Bagdad, Arizona. My wife and I started the Diner and with our families and extended family and we pride ourselves in supporting our community and providing great American Diner food. My wife Kim brings her extensive experience to the kitchen to make sure everyone leaves full and happy. We try to have a little something for everyone from salads to great burgers with fresh, never frozen, beef and I can't leave out the real ice cream shakes and floats.

The bar was relatively quiet, despite having 2 tv's with sports channels on. A bartender and one server were in duty. (Both very pretty women BTW) The bartender was quick to take my order (only a root beer) & called over the waitress. The menu had a nice selection of typical sandwiches and burgers so I asked which sandwich was popular. She recommended the turkey melt, so I rolled the dice, taking her suggestion. Wow! What a great sandwich. Served on large, grilled Texas toast, it oozed with hot cheese and turkey. Yum. It also came with a choice of shoestring or seasoned fries. I chose the seasoned which were definitively right out of the fryer, piping hot and crispy, just how I like them. The waitress was highly attentive, checking back with me several times to see if I needed anything else or wanted a dessert. Being the aged chauvinist I am, I replied; "Dessert (?) heavens no. Just seeing you 2 pretty girls is plenty dessert for me." She chuckled and talked about my road trip and her background as a local Bagdagian. In all, my experience was great and will definitely be back on a future road trip. I don't know what the local diner is like, but they were now closed when I drove out of town, shortly after 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. So, IMO, that's another reason to to to Copper Country Bar & Grill.

The cook gave me a stale biscuit that just ruined my meal. I couldn't eat it or ask for it to be remade because Josh was too busy to check in on us or refill our drinks. I told him when he came to pick up the plates. He apologized, but he didn't remove it from the check. I paid $10 for a meal I couldn't eat. We got a piece of pie and the taste was kind of weird...like it had been freezer burned and then defrosted. The whole experience was disappointing.

It adds a 4% on top of state & county tax. You end up paying that tax in this town even if you just buy food at a market, which I personally view as just wrong. I visit Lake Havasu once in a while where they add just 1% but the roads aren't full of pot holes & have all the services one would need.
