This is a wonderful little place along the way to Vegas from Phoenix. The food was delicious and the service was great. Brenda was so sweet and friendly. And the music was great!

Great service and very good food. Try a slice of the delicious pies. We annihilated our French apple, regular apple, and mystery pie. Lovely local choice.

Today, they did just that! I had the steak and egg breakfast and the temp, char and seasonings were perfect. Rest of the family had other items and we all ate 'em up, it was that good. Servers and staff checked on us regularly and had a real pleasant conversation with the proprietor. This man taught his kids well; amazing little family there. The place has great decor for that area and a cool little gift shop. There's not a whole lot of choices in Seligman, but Roadkill Cafe is worth you giving them a try.

Oatman Hotel. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is unforgettable--the walls are completely covered in dollar bills, an it has this old time feel! Seating is first come, first served and we grabbed a table in the second room near the stage. Great Spot! Our server was super friendly, came by quickly, and answered all of our questions without hesitation. I ordered the turkey and Swiss on sourdough, our daughter had the corn dog kids meal, and my wife ordered the chili cheese dog (no bun). All of our meals came with a side, and we chose the Burro Ears--best decision ever. They're hard to describe... kind of like a potato chip and French fry combo, and SO good. They're served with a delicious sauce that's a blend of sour cream and salsa. The food came out fast, hot, and absolutely delicious. One of the coolest parts was getting to leave our mark. We asked our server for a marker, and she came back with both a marker and a staple gun--awesome! We hung our dollar bill up with the rest of them. Bet you can't find it! Service, atmosphere, and food were all a 10/10. If you're visiting Oatman, the Oatman Hotel is a must-stop. Highly recommend!

I was inclined to eat at a very popular diner in the Main Street, but chose CCB&G instead. It was up the road a little more than a mile but we'll worth avoiding the overcrowded diner At CCB&G, the dining room was closed but they were serving in the bar area. The bar was relatively quiet, despite having 2 tv's with sports channels on. A bartender and one server were in duty. (Both very pretty women BTW) The bartender was quick to take my order (only a root beer) & called over the waitress. The menu had a nice selection of typical sandwiches and burgers so I asked which sandwich was popular. She recommended the turkey melt, so I rolled the dice, taking her suggestion. Wow! What a great sandwich. Served on large, grilled Texas toast, it oozed with hot cheese and turkey. Yum. It also came with a choice of shoestring or seasoned fries. I chose the seasoned which were definitively right out of the fryer, piping hot and crispy, just how I like them. The waitress was highly attentive, checking back with me several times to see if I needed anything else or wanted a dessert. Being the aged chauvinist I am, I replied; "Dessert (?) heavens no. Just seeing you 2 pretty girls is plenty dessert for me." She chuckled and talked about my road trip and her background as a local Bagdagian. In all, my experience was great and will definitely be back on a future road trip. I don't know what the local diner is like, but they were now closed when I drove out of town, shortly after 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. So, IMO, that's another reason to to to Copper Country Bar & Grill.

It's always a cheap eat because their prices are inexpensive for their food quality, which makes me (and most likely everyone else) glad. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with a side of fries, and it was delicious. Funny enough, I meant to order the crispy chicken sandwich but I forgot and ordered this one, yet it was just as amazing. The tender, juicy chicken paired well with the perfect hamburger buns and the crispy fries. Definitely tasty, I might order this over the crispy chicken sandwich. I entered and was sat down very quickly and was asked my drink and food choice. The waitress was very polite and helpful, she seemed like she had a lot to do. Refills were fast, the vibe was great and I was grateful for everybody doing great in busy hours. Inside was a bunch of Route 66 stuff, handmade items and trinkets alike. I could tell they love Arizona. The seats were comfortable, the tables clean and certainly a great experience. I'm really glad they had some AC on, it was almost a "chilly" 100 degrees outside. Just spectacular. Overall, Calico's is the place for high-quality, scrumptious meals with great prices, nice people and wide selections of foods and memorabilia. I absolutely recommend this place for anyone with high standards, Calico's delivers on everything. What I also recommend is that you should come for the Sunday brunch buffet, it's quite the thing. My Dad and I came in because I needed to reminisce (I met my late wife here 56 years ago). He had the fish and chips and I had the chicken taco plate. Dad made the mistake of ordering a side salad in addition to his meal. It's a good thing Danita has to-go boxes! We're both going to need them. My chicken tacos were a kind of street taco with lots of good stuff (lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, black olives, sour cream, and what I think is homemade salsa) to put on them. The beans were delicious. Not typical refried beans, but a really tasty pinto beans topped with melting cheese. Dad's "side salad" is ginormous! I guess there's lettuce under the tomato, black olive, red onion, and tomato, but I can't see it! His cod came out as two very large (hanging over both sides of the plate), and he was sure he wouldn't be able to finish one of them. He was wrong! I don't think there is such a thing as a cheap restaurant any more, but prices here are significantly lower than we expected. I'm so glad we came in. We'll definitely be back.
