We went in today 4/25/26 at around 10am they got our drinks and we sat for almost 40 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. Food was just ok. We ordered steak and eggs. We asked for medium rare and ended up with well done and i mean over done. My daughter had the kids pancakes and bacon, probably the only decent thing at our table. I ordered the 2 eggs breakfast (scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast.) the scrambled eggs were over done & hard, i asked for the hashbrowns to be soft and they were over crispy just under burnt, and the only thing i got to eat was my toast. They brought a fresh plate of hashbrowns BUT there was a hair clearly cooked in to the hashbrowns. My husband went to use the restroom and it was in complete disarray, needed to be cleaned same with the woman's restroom. Both restrooms had awful smells like they truly need a deep clean. While the people were friendly they completely missed the mark. After going through all this, not being able to enjoy my meal, steak being too over cooked, hair in my meal, not one of them offered to give any discount or at the very least remove my meal that had hair in it which you could clearly see i only ate the toast. Upon walking in we were greeted immediately and told to sit wherever we wanted that wasn't dirty. There was one clean booth so we chose that. Once seated we were given menus and told who our server would be. 10 minutes go by, 15 minutes go by and finally someone shows up and apologized saying she wasn't told we were her table. We ordered our drinks and when she came back we placed our order. We ordered a BLT with Fries, a patty melt with fries and a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. While we were waiting for our food, our waitress was sitting around the corner talking to the owner. We saw our food come up and sit for approximately 10 minutes before the waitress got up and brought it to us. I was joking with my people if I should serve ourselves since there were other orders sitting there waiting to be served. Once we got our food, the fries were warm but limp which is a no no since I like them hot and crisp. My burger looked like it may have been "hand formed with local meat" according to the menu but it tasted like pre-cooked and then rewarmed on the flat top. Needless to say, it had no flavor whatsoever. The patty melt burger looked like it came from the Safeway frozen patty 20 pack for $10. The BLT was 2 slices of bacon, shredded lettuce and the bite I took I couldn't find a tomato. Never saw the waitress until the bill so overall a sad experience for a local experience. Food was way too bland and wanting for the price, the fact that they add over 30% to your bill automatically for gratuity and a never before heard of food tax should be reason enough to stay away. I feel bad for the servers who have to end up with less of a tip because the establishment needed to strong arm the customer first for 30+ percent of the bill. 3 plates of 2 eggs and bacon and 2 short stacks of pancakes should never cost $140. I ordered steak & eggs, hash browns and a biscuit. My steak was more medium than medium rare, but seasoned well, eggs over medium, check and biscuit was good although crumbly and hard to eat. The coffee was excellent. Our server was Lisa R and she was terrific. Prices were a bit high. Steak & eggs - $26, half-order biscuit & gravy - $5.60, 2 coffees - $7. Here's the odd one, food tax - 11.4% = 4.40 and credit card surcharge @ 2.9% = $1.12. So with tip the total was $51.79 which seemed high for breakfast, especially when one order was a biscuit and gravy. Overall, a decent experience. read more

First impression: Cute decor inside a somewhat ran-down looking diner. So I'm in Williams, Arizona, to ride the Grand Canyon Railway. As I'm walking around town, I spot this classic Route 66 diner since Williams is a classic Route 66 town. Well, I gotta eat here because this kind of place represents Real Americana to me. And I'm so glad I did! Walking in, you just know you're in the classic American diner. Booths along the windows. This is an old school diner on the tourist loop. Very 50s vibe. Menu is American comfort food. I had the daily special huevos rancheros. It was solid. Very flavorful. Came with a fresh tortilla. We arrived about 40 minutes before closing unintentionally after we arrived in town late due to being hit by another car on the highway on the way to Williams. We were tired, hungry and looking for a quick hot meal. We arrived close to closing which I know can really upset some restaurant staff but they were warm, welcoming and extremely friendly. We needed more than appetizers we thought so we looked around town and on recommendations settled on Goldie's Route 66. Monday was meatloaf special night so I was sold right away. My wife had the split pea soup. Meatloaf was good, had the crunchy edge which good also, but have you ever had too much of a good thing. A little much, the mushroom gravy was tasty and the mashed potatoes were good, green beans weren't quite warm and the split pea soup was too salty for our tastes so 4 stars. The soup might not be home made. The service was great and our server checked on us regularly and we didn't need to ask for anything. It has a good diner feel with booths and counter service so the ambiance is what you would expect. Really good experience with the exception of some food tastes. Worth a trip! read more

HOWEVER, whoever the woman was (not sure if she was the hostess) who was at front of house, clearly gave us racist energy. We were the only Asian patrons. She only spoke to the white patrons, made it VERY apparent to not treat us with any manners or decency. She was rude and condescending to us, but was openly kind to the rest of the patrons.
