I had a very disappointing experience at this business. I arrived with my service animal and was informed that my animal would not be allowed inside. Service animals are protected under federal law, and I was surprised by the staff's response and lack of understanding regarding these requirements. In addition, I felt that I was treated differently than other customers. The interaction left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. I attempted to explain that my animal was a service animal, but the situation was not handled professionally. I hope management takes the time to properly train staff on ADA service animal regulations and customer service expectations so that future customers do not have a similar experience. read more

Service was nice but it was a little bit lackin. Food was ok, We sat a table 8 which was not cleaned after the last customer. The bathroom were clean but falling apart, there was a rat trap in the ladies bathroom which makes one feel nervous about using it. read more

We had a minor car issue en route to Flagstaff, so we stopped in Ash Fork. We needed some grub so we wandered until we found this little gem. The folks there were extra nice and welcoming. The waitress was pleasant and took care of us the whole time. The food was great. The three of us all enjoyed our meals. We all had burgers. I had one with cheddar, sautéed onions, and some A-1 sauce. The burger was cooked as ordered. The meat was fresh and not frozen or preformed. The interior of the restaurant was nice and cozy. Small town cafe with a family feel. We stopped in for a late lunch the weekend following Thanksgiving, and I'll be honest our choices between Chino Valley and Kingman were few a far between. But, we didn't want to go another 90 minutes on an empty stomach, so we took a risk and it paid off in spades. There were only two of us and it was off hours, so we were seated and greeted right away. There was another (slightly larger party) in there before us, and one other party of two came in about 10-15 minutes after us but that's about it. Our waitress was super friendly, talkative and had a lot of local stories to share. Our favorite by far was the local guy who they gave a key to as he comes by every morning for coffee before they open so he lets himself in. LOL I opted for the Santa Fe Melt w/ the fries well done, my buddy got the Turkey Melt (his goto if it's on the menu). The Santa Fe was flavorful and almost dripping with cheese. Almost reminded me of a Cheesesteak, but in sourdough. The fries were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft in the center just how I like them. I swear, Turkey on the Turkey Melt must have been leftover from Thanksgiving that piece was so thick it could have been a steak! HaHa For desert that had pie by the slice that appeared to have been bought at the local grocer. It didn't look bad or anything but not something I'd splurge for calories on if I was counting. All in all, I'd say it was pretty good. I don't think I'd drive from Vegas just to eat here, but if I was passing through and needed a bite, I wouldn't hesitate for a second. Wonderful small town cafe with big city flavor. Location: Great if you're heading west but if you're going east you may have to drive through the town a bit. Parking was ample but it can get tight as this is an appreciated place by the locals. Ambiance: Friendly western vibe that employees embrace it. Food: Burgers good size and dang tasty we ordered a couple both came out with fresh toppings and buns. Get the green chile, it's done right! Fries were great too. Had a side salad and it was decent size and prepared well. The menu is definitely a safe space. We also ordered the cake. Extremely moist and portioned well. Customer Service: Outstanding! All the staff are extremely nice and feel right at home helping each other and the customers. A couple stopped by to say hello and noticed it was busy and just started helping out the other staff. This is the first review I've ever written, and only because everyone should avoid this place. There was a total of 5 people in there eating, and we walked in as a table of 4. We waited for just about an hour before we got our food. At that time, they let us know the only dressing they had was Italian.... My husbands burger was burnt. My turkey a Swiss melt had maybe 3 thin pieces of turkey and more grease than I thought possible. One person ordered a chicken sandwich which was presented as 2 chicken tenders on a bun. Sometimes on the road you don't have a choice where to eat. This was the case when I stopped at the Ranch House for an early lunch. The restaurant is clean and the staff was attentive, friendly, and unmasked. This is rural AZ and I would expect no covid measures, but they did have some sanitizer on the counter. I asked if the biscuits were fresh and appreciated the honest "no". I ordered the Frisco burger and it was what you would expect. It really should not have lettuce though as the grilled bread and burger wilted it immediately. Lots of thick cut fries came with it. Its decent food and good value. read more

Had a Southwest omelette with ham, it was really tasty and the waitress was really sweet and helpful! Really good value for money!

Overall, the service was okay. When we walked in we were not greeted until we requested to see if we could sit down. The food was pretty good but the ketchup seemed a bit grainy. The soda was a bit flat. I had the burger on sourdough garlic bread and it was delicious. read more

Oh Robert why did you have to change this restaurant? This was our little favorite hole in wall place going to or from Vegas. This is the first time we stopped by since Restaurant Impossible came to revamp it. The insides were so cute before. He tried to update the decor but it's just ok. The menu is a fraction of what it was before. We both had the Frisco melt with fries. The last time we had it, it was a big juicy burger with fresh hot crinkle fries. This time it was a small over cooked patty, the onions were no where to be found, the lettuce was a couple of pieces of the rib part of romaine and the fries were regular frozen French fries that were luke warm and few. They slso upped the price significantly. If you are going to raise the prices that much you have to keep or exceed the quality. Sorry Ranch House we won't be coming back. read more

20 of our YAVAPAI HOG group rode up to the Ranch House on Thursday for lunch. We did call ahead as our group grew from 10 to 20. Found this place in Ashford in a snow storm. We were stuck its own by a nice lady and her kid food was great. It's one of those places that are hidden. She wouldn't know it's here. Very clean.
