This coffee shop was like a throwback to the 90s, in a good way. Remember the old school coffee houses, with tons of character, where you could while away half a day, with friendly characters on staff that you grew to know as friends? You can find all of that and more here, plus a drive thru. I love supporting local places when I travel and this place was a highlight. I got an iced nonfat Copper State (caramel and cinnamon?) latte. I like that their iced drinks go up to 32oz and their menu clearly states how many shots are in each size. The menu has a good variety with both food items and drinks (coffee, tea, smoothies, sodas, etc.). This was our last stop before hitting the road back to Vegas, and it was strong and tasty. If you are coming from vegas and are heading to the grand canyon, this is pretty much the only coffee spot in town. There's other places too but not specifically a coffee spot. They have drive through as well. Food and drinks: I got the everything bagel. Two of them because i was so hungry i didnt eat anything before I left. I also got a vanilla iced latte. The coffee was kinda burned, but its all good. I had to add an extra pump of vanilla for this big latte to balance it out. Service: there was a bit of a line but no big deal since we were on vacaiton. They also have a drive through as well. You order at the front and pick it up on the side. ambiance: very homie feel. It seems they like to go through themes through out the year, since it was october there was a harry potter theme in the place. Nice tough. ALso theres a fish tank to help give it more a retro feel. There aren't many options in town here if you want coffee, breakfast sandwiches or a pastry. This is pretty much the only game in town. (I think there's a Starbuck's inside a Safeway.) Brewed Awakenings was really doing the business the day we came with a line out the door. The drive-thru line snaked on forever too. My husband and I decided to get a simple coffee and a pastry to go so we wouldn't have to wait. The very, very sweet cashier misunderstood me asking about a bear claw (maybe she didn't know what it was?) and steered me towards something else with almonds. We were headed out of town early in the morning and wanted a quick bite and some coffee. Fast food was a "plan B," and we like supporting local. My wife found this place on Yelp and it looked like it fit the bill WOW! This place was VERY popular on the morning of July 4. Inside was packed, there was a line out the door, and the drive-through had a line down the street. We parked and joined the line, which actually moved quickly. I appreciated the efficiency of the order processing, despite people in line ordering drinks for their whole family (some having to check in and get answers to questions via text or phone). Since my wife and I were both present in line, we were ready to go when it was our turn. She wanted a pastry and I mostly drink black coffee, so our order was filled immediately -- I was presented with a cup and directed to the self-service pump machine at the end of the line. The coffee had a nice roast and good flavor. As it came from a pump, it was not "freshly brewed," though I assume it was "very recently brewed." If you want the freshest, you'll have to wait for an Americano, but if you want fast like I did, get the drip coffee and get on your way. :) read more

Very friendly service, it's pretty crowded when it's super busy, worth the wait as they are pretty quick moving through when well staffed. Worth it. Wouldn't call it a Route 66 place, but I would say it's a quaint and fun coffee shop. Also got a turkey bagel sandwich that was $10 and worth it. They have good Route 66 paraphernalia that is a little better priced than at other places. read more

I found this place on Yelp as we were in downtown Williams and I knew we'd need a quick little pick me up in the morning. My initial plan was for us to park and go inside, but we came upon their drive thru, so decided to just do that instead. Pretty extensive menu, and the gal taking orders in the drive thru was super helpful and sweet. My oldest opted not to get anything, but my youngest and I settled on a blueberry muffin for each of us and she got a peach, banana mango smoothie and I got a chai latte. The blueberry muffins were perfect. Should have asked for them to be warmed up slightly, but still delicious. My daughter loved her smoothie. They asked me if I wanted my chai latte sweet, spicy or a mix of both. I opted for a mix of both. Honestly, this was probably the best chai latte I've ever had in my life! Let me just say this... if I lived in Williams, Arizona, my dentist and Brewed Awakenings would be on a first-name basis with me. We ordered the Copper State for breakfast and wow. Cinnamon and caramel luxury is how it's described, and for once that's not marketing fluff. The caramel doesn't come in swinging a sledgehammer. It just taps you on the shoulder like, "Hey. I'm here." Subtle. Smooth. Balanced. Enough sweetness to feel indulgent, not so much that you feel like you need to confess it later. This is absolutely a "we need another one tomorrow morning" kind of cup. The kind where you start mentally rearranging your travel plans to make sure you can swing back through town. Hypothetically. Not saying we did that. But I'm not not saying it either. The decor? Eclectic. I'm not entirely sure what vibe they're going for. Is it vintage? Is it artsy? Great experience! We did go through the drive-thru so nothing to say about inside, however service was quick, friendly, and helpful with questions. We were looking for the best breakfast burrito in town and may have found it. Cost was twice what we pay for our favorites at home but it was loaded and each ingredient was proportionate so that we could taste everything and yet it blended well. Highly recommend stopping here if you're driving through Williams, AZ! The lattes were excellent--I tried the Gypsy Chai and loved that they let you choose between sweet or spicy. I went with sweet, and it still had the perfect amount of spice. The iced hazelnut latte was also great, and I appreciated that they offer milk substitutes (I chose oat milk). My only critique was that my hot hazelnut latte had too much foam, making it more of a cappuccino, but it still tasted good. I preferred the hot Gypsy Chai overall. For breakfast, the eggs were cooked well and seasoned perfectly. I had the breakfast burrito, which came with a surprisingly flavorful salsa--not something I expected in a small town like this, but it was a great surprise! My only suggestion would be to mix the burrito filling more evenly, as I ended up with one half full of eggs and the other full of hash browns. Both were seasoned well but tasted even better when combined. The café itself was cute and clean, and the service was friendly. If you're on the way to that big ol' canyon from Sin City, definitely stop here for a quick rest and recharge. We stopped here randomly on a family road trip to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas.
