All the times I've been to Williams as a child and an adult, I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of dining at Anna's Canyon Cafe, but I finally had the opportunity a few weeks back! My husband and I came in an hour before closing to grab some lunch before our long drive home. We felt bad coming in so close to closing, particularly since no one else was dining, but within 10 minutes of sitting down the cafe filled up with about 6 other tables. Phew! Our waitress was real friendly and served us quickly without making us feel rushed. I also appreciate her bringing me a fresh iced tea in a to-go cup before we left! I very much enjoyed that during the first leg of our journey home :) They offer a very sizable menu with both breakfast and lunch items. So many things sounded good, but I was incredibly happy with my choice of the Canyon Club. My sandwich was huge and stacked with quality meat. I chose fried pickles as my side and it was a mighty generous portion. My husband had the Patty Melt with a side of fries. He usually has no problem finishing his meal, but his sandwich and fry portion was also so big he struggled to finish. He was also happy with the portion size and flavor. The inside felt like a museum with how well maintained some of the historical elements were. Booths were very comfy, even for us plus sized folks, and there were two gender neutral restrooms on site. You can enter the cafe through the main front door or down the back alley off Route 66. We usually come to Williams once per year (sometimes twice); we'll definitely be making this our go-to lunch spot! read more

We came here because we wanted some breakfast before we got back to San Diego. It was extremely busy and the hostess was ignoring us, but we figured that once she was done we'd get info on when we'd get seated. It was just me and my husband. However, a group of four girls stopped by and the hostess immediately greeted them and told them it would be a 15 minute wait! My husband and I were annoyed. We just left and went to the other restaurant across the street. Maybe the food is good, but the service isn't. read more

Stopped by for breakfast on our way to the Grand Canyon. Exactly what you'd expect to find in the cute town of Williams. Great, classic diner vibes. Would recommend! We had egg plates with hashbrowns and bacon. Coffee was served nice and hot! read more

After getting up at 3 am to watch the sunrise at the Grand Canyon, we were ready for breakfast when we arrived at 7:30. The three of us were seated right away in the booth by the front window in this cute little cafe that fits the vibe of the town. We ordered: - Biscuits and gravy: Delicious. More gravy than we prefer, but easy enough to work around. The hash browns were nice and crispy. Apparently you can get a half order, which is 1 biscuit (2 sides), but we didn't realize that until we got the check. - Denver omelette: A little dense but good. The toast was okay. I should have asked if I could have a biscuit instead. - Pancakes with bacon: Standard cakes but love that they serve it with warmed syrup. Bacon was cooked well. - Hot cocoa: super chocolatey and lots of whipped cream. Overall a solid meal. We were sharing meals and the servers kept wanting to clear our plates, but they finally got the drift. read more

A group of friends and I had stopped in for breakfast two weeks ago when we were visiting the area. Ambiance: Inviting and warm space with a casual comfortable feel. Regular tables and booth seating available. They sell some various mugs, shirts, candies etc. Service: Really nice, friendly and smiley folks. Great service! Food & Drinks: Breakfast served all day! Breakfast items include various plates, omelets, sandwiches, burritos, pancakes, and south of the border items. Lunch items include sandwiches, burgers, salads, and south of the border items (enchiladas, tacos etc). Drinks include iced tea, sodas, juices, milk, tea, and various coffee drinks. I did the Breakfast Sandwich with ham, scrambled eggs, cheese, grilled sourdough and has browns on the side. Enjoyed it with some regular coffee and all was great. Friends enjoyed Corned Beef Hash, Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, and Country Fried Steak. Prices seemed great, especially for being from out of state where things are a bit more expensive. Parking: Easy parking alongside the various streets read more

Two stars only because of the cute Dolly Parton quote lol. We came in Saturday morning around 8:50 AM. I honestly don't know how you mess up egg whites and a burger patty, but my burger patty was so hard and rubbery I could barely cut it. My daughter and I both ordered avocado and it looked like rubber and wasn't even edible. Our server, an older lady with darker hair, wasn't friendly at all and seemed pretty impatient. Definitely wouldn't recommend. We should've just waited and eaten in Sedona. read more

Anna’s Canyon Cafe - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Williams, Arizona

Stayed next door at the Red Garter Inn(highly recommend ), so easy 3 step walk to Anna's. The restaraunt maintains that vintage, western vibe, staff were warm and friendly, offered helpful recommendations for menu items, and they were vety attentive, maiing sure drinks were refilled. The food was equally good, huevos rancheros all homemade with warm tortillas and homemade salsa was excellent! My husband ordered scrambled eggs, hasbrowns and toast- the eggs were perfect, not to wet and not to dry. 5 stars all around! read more

Cute restaurant near the train depot. We chose to sit outside in the little courtyard which was very relaxing. The inside was charming as well. Our server was super efficient and very sweet. Would recommend the enchilada with eggs for sure. The coffee drinks are not the best but they tried. The 2 egg breakfast was okay but would try something different next time as the bacon wasn't cooked great and the hash browns were greasy. Compared to the Pine Restaurant next door they are a close second choice for us. read more

Employees dont seem happy at this place. We came in and the 2 women at the front kinda just stared at us. Husband ordered a total of 4 over easy eggs and the server only brought 2. Husband said I'm missing 2 eggs and she said oh let me get that for you. Husband started eating his 2 eggs then she came back with 1 egg only and said that was 3 on your plate. Husband and I didnt argue but clearly there was only 2! Also the over easy was over done! But the food was actually good! Service not good! read more

Poor service. No hostess greeting us upon arrival for breakfast. Cafe was not too busy, yet no one greeted or approached to serve us. Long wait times are apparently normal here. Recommend finding another place. read more

Went to breakfast here yesterday with a large group. It was VERY busy and took a little bit to be seated but that's to be expected with such a large group. Our server was great, food was EXCELLENT and I can't wait to go back this morning. I had the green chili size. Meat was top notch and the chile verde was delicious. Sooooooo good. Everybody really enjoyed the food. We come to Williams every year for Labor Day weekend and this will be our go to while we're here. read more

Nice restaurant but the breakfast was overcooked and very bland. Ham and cheese omelet, hash browns, toast. 20 minute wait to get in and 20 minutes to get food. Average I guess for a weekend. Staff were nice. read more

Stopped in for breakfast this morning and left very happy. The country steak was excellent -- juicy, with a light gravy that was flavorful without being too heavy. Really nice, well-balanced taste. The service was outstanding: the staff is super friendly and attentive. They keep refilling your coffee without even having to ask. Food came out of the kitchen quickly and everything was hot and fresh. Perfect way to start the day! Cozy, homey atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. Places like this deserve support -- real small American businesses with heart and care. Highly recommend if you're looking for a classic American breakfast done right! read more

I had the huevoes rancheros with green chili pork sauce and it may have been the best breakfast I've ever had. The place is a cute little spot on the next street over from the Main Street. We really enjoyed it. read more

On a recommendation as the best breakfast in Williams, I stopped into Anna's which is housed in this historic building right off Hwy 66. I ordered the corned beef hash breakfast with over-easy eggs and hash browns. Despite the corned beef hash not being scratch it was still a very good breakfast experience overall. The coffee was just okay, but the strip of bacon that I tried was perfection. The service was good, the dining room was clean, and the owner, Anna, even stopped by the table and was very friendly. The value for the meal was good as well. I'd definitely consider stopping in the next time I'm in the area and driving down Hwy 66. read more

Great home style restaurant! We went there for breakfast and I had tamale and eggs and my wife had the chicken fried steak and eggs. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hashbrowns were excellent and particularly the tamale was excellent. Great service also! Great coffee too! read more

Had the ham and eggs breakfast. Huge piece of ham- took 2/3 of it home for sandwiches. Food was good and staff were very pleasant.

A great breakfast spot. I ate here 3 years ago; it was great then and still great. Seated and coffee served within minutes. Ordered the Spanish Omelette special with a green chili smother. The omelette was an explosion of flavor with each bite. The servers never let my coffee get below 1/2 full. The restaurant is very clean while being located within an historical building. I look forward when in town again to dine here again. read more

Food was typical. Service was awful. I hate to pull the racism card but I can't think of any other reason for the treatment we received. We were polite and respectful, but the waitresses met us with disdain from the moment we walked in. Had multiple moments where we were ordering and told items contained pork very sternly, as if we weren't able to read the menu ourselves. The staff, with the exception of one young lady with brown hair, continuously met us with a rude tone. When my little sister ordered the short stack of pancakes, our waitress very sternly told her that the short stack contained only two pancakes. "That's only two. Do you want two or three?", which is a fine question to ask on it's own but my sister is a little kid, and so she hesitated after being questioned in such an aggressive tone, and before she could answer the waitress scoffed and walked away. There were more instances, but I don't feel like writing them all out. Just know that the overall atmosphere made us all incredibly uncomfortable. We were the only non-White family in the entire establishment. My sister cried after we left. I think that was her first time experiencing mistreatment based on the color of her skin. The treatment received, had it only been one or two things, could be attributed to one-off events from a frazzled waitstaff. But putting everything together, alongside the sheer difference in how the white customers were treated left a bad taste in my mouth. I could hear the waitress who literally scoffed in my sister's face laughing and playing with a white family's child right behind me. We also had to pay an auto-gratuity of 20 percent. Makes sense why they have to make it mandatory if this is how they treat their customers. If you're roadtripping across Arizona, and you're not white, I recommend somewhere else. read more

Camping in the area, I discovered Anna's when researching where to get hot coffee at 6am- Initially their website gave me a "um what" feeling, as their menu offered seemingly such a strange randomness of Mexican, American, Oriental, and other flavor profiles, but the charm of it all grew on me, and I decided we should also eat there for the fun of it. Such a solid decision, the ample variety made it hard to choose, as their combinations sounded very unique and delectable- and everything was so reasonably priced. The staff was initially very welcoming & quick with the coffee. When we arrived, we were seated along with a few other tables of drive-thru trucker regulars- hearing their friendly banter, with the staff, gave a great local routine morning happiness ambiance. We opted for the Southwestern Country Fried Steak & the Breakfast Burrito The plate portions were massive- the country fried steak was amply smothered with cheese & a delicious pork green chili. The entire plate had so much bold flavor; a quintessential diner homecooked well-made quality meal If we lived in the area, we'd be regulars too- a very highly recommended eat read more

Cute diner! Very fast and friendly service, and the food was excellent -- like a home-cooked meal. Eban was a great server! Thank you!

This was a gem to find! We arrived on Friday morning at 9:30, were seated right away and service was excellent! Food was delicious, hearty, everything we hoped for, I enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros, eggs floating in a pool of chili, my husband devoured the Biscuits and gravy... HIghly recommend when passing thru Williams! read more

I'm very disappointed with this restaurant's policy. Our group didn't even sit at the same table, yet they still forced a 20% group tip on our both separate bills. We were separated the entire time, had different servers, and didn't receive any kind of "group" service -- but somehow still got charged like we did. When we asked about it, the staff didn't offer any explanation other than "it's policy and written on the menu." It feels unfair, misleading, and honestly disrespectful to customers. If you're going to add a mandatory tip, at least make sure the situation actually qualifies. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for honest and transparent service. read more

Amazing breakfast food. Good portion, amazing taste and all the employees are very friendly

So delicious!!! I ordered the Denver Omelet and requested added jalapeños. The result was perfect. My husband's hash and eggs were also perfect. Our server (and everyone else we came in contact with) was friendly and cheerful. The bustling atmosphere was lovely but not rushed. The price was about what you'd expect for the area, but not overpriced as many of the other restaurants nearby. Highly recommended. read more

Very warm and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast we had was very good. Went both days on our weekend for breakfast!

Excellent service and food was delicious. Some of our group had breakfast, some chose lunch. The breakfast burrito was great and the bacon and eggs were cooked well. The bison burger had great seasoning and was cooked well. Club sandwich was great and came with a giant side of fried pickles. Teri was an excellent server! read more

Came to this restaurant and they had horrible customer service. The manager Stephanie is so unprofessional and is a waste of space there. We found hair in our food and she didn't want to comp or discount the meal it's like isn't that's common etiquette and common sense also my wifes food came out late while most of us were almost don't with ours she was very rude and needs to be checked. The food wasn't even that good either. I don't recommend. And on top they still charged a 28 dollar gratuity which is wild . read more

You can really tell they care about their service (and keeping us awake lol ). Whenever I find myself in Williams, AZ, I always have breakfast (or occasionally lunch) at Anna's. The food is always consistently good, wait staff friendly and their prices aren't as inflated as some of their competitors. The restaurant is in the parlor of a one time cat house and still retains some of its bawdy charm. They also have a small gift shop that sells some fun items, some Route 66 paraphernalia and some noting their questionable history. lol read more
