It is also nostalgic as I remember going to Dairy Queen when I was younger and lived in California. I didn't get pics of the food I also get on occasions but I must recommend you try their burgers and my favorite, the grilled chicken sandwich. Substitute fries for onion rings if you are like me. They also are able to make regular Pepsi into cherry Pepsi by adding bits of cherries they use for sundaes into the soda. They have outdoor seating on the famous Route 66. Will see them again and again and again.

Second, the girls working there were so sweet. They were friendly, patient, and hard-working. You could tell they took pride in their work. They were careful to get our order just right for our burgers. Third, the food was excellent--better than any Dairy Queen I have been to in a long time--and the burgers were hot with crispy, toasted buns. The burgers actually were the same size as the buns. I wish all Dairy Queens tried this hard to please their customers. Oh, and we shared an ultimate chocolate brownie Blizzard! Yummy!

That size allows you to choose two flavors, so we had their Belgian Chocolate and Espresso Swirl. SO. INCREDIBLY. GOOD! Their ice cream is almost like a gelato because it was so lush and creamy and so flavorful without being overly sweet. It's not the kind of ice cream that has those little ice chip bits you get in every bite. Nope. This was just pure creamy bliss all throughout. Everything they had was homemade too--from cookies to brownies to pies, and of course their ice cream! They had coffee as well, so they truly have a lot to choose from when you stop by. The staff were super nice and friendly, and made our visit such a happy one. We also heard they usually have a long line that goes out the door, so we were pretty lucky when we found ourselves only with a few other people ahead of us when we visited. Although after we got our order, the stream of people that arrived seemed endless. If you find yourself in Uptown Sedona, please stop by and get some of their ice cream. I know I will when we go to Sedona again!

Service was amazing too - attentive, friendly & joyous. Menu is innovative and while we didn't vibe with the taste of every item we tried, we enjoyed how healthy and gut friendly the food was. They say all their food is prepared in-house and is never from a can. Their dessert selection is amazing (tried the freshly baked vegan, GF scone which was soooo yum). The chocolates were good too but a tad overpriced imho. And omg, the seating in this restaurant is something else... there's PLENTY of inside and outdoor seating, incl their magical garden area.

Given that the burrito has two ingredients as of yesterday (menu says it has salsa, but upon ordering you're offered an up sell to pay extra for salsa or avocado), I was disappointed it didn't err on the side of extra chickpea chorizo. It was however seasoned incredibly well, sweet potatoes included. If you want a more quiet patio experience, then I would opt for the dog-friendly patio in the front as opposed to the one through the restaurant toward the back. There wasn't anyone there when I came at open.

I've celebrated birthdays, my pregnancy, and many special occasions here over the years, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Tonight, my family and I came to celebrate my upcoming wedding. I made the reservation well in advance and called ahead to coordinate details because this dinner was very important to us. Unfortunately, our server, Eric, completely changed the tone of the evening. Our reservation was at 7:00 PM, but Eric did not greet our table until around 7:20. When he arrived, he immediately told us he had been sat multiple tables at once and would be taking everyone else's order before ours. He then walked away. When my mother kindly approached him to explain that this was an important wedding celebration dinner, he spent several minutes complaining about how busy and overwhelmed he was instead of addressing the issue. When he finally returned to our table, his demeanor felt tense and irritated. He even stopped his menu speech to ask what was wrong with my mom's face-she was simply shocked by his attitude thus far. We placed our drink and food orders immediately because we were already concerned about the delays. About an hour and a half after being seated, Eric came over and told us he had delayed putting our food order in because he noticed we were "still eating bread." We were shocked, as we believed the order had been placed long before that. Meanwhile, several people in our party had skipped lunch in anticipation of this dinner and were extremely hungry. As the delay continued, I spoke privately with the bartenders and explained that I was a bride-to-be trying to celebrate with family and friends, and that I was worried about how the evening was unfolding. After they spoke with Eric, he returned to the table and responded in a very curt and dismissive tone that we were "about to find out why this is such a great restaurant" before abruptly walking away. His attitude made everyone at the table visibly uncomfortable, and I was honestly mortified trying to host my guests under those circumstances. This wedding dinner meant a lot to me so I began to cry from his strange anger/attitude towards us. At that point, I requested a different server because I simply did not want another interaction with him. Thankfully, we were switched to Isaiah, who completely turned the evening around. He was kind, attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. He handled everything quickly and helped salvage what was meant to be a very special celebration. Isaiah also apologized sincerely and comped our meal, which we greatly appreciated. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere is beautiful, and every other staff member we interacted with was kind and accommodating. That's why I'm not leaving fewer stars. I truly do love this restaurant and have supported it for years. However, Eric's behavior was shockingly unprofessional and unfortunately overshadowed what should have been a joyful wedding celebration.

Only one employee, friendly but efficient young lady with a good attitude. Food: some of the best house made ice cream I've had with a variety of flavors - and they don't skimp! Super creamy but not overly sweet. Great texture. I had raspberry chipotle ( I think it was raspberry) with thin chocolate flakes. Excellent chocolate. Ice cream vanilla with the berry syrup mixed in. About 2-3 seconds after a mouthful of flavor comes the kick, not too bad. Very good. My son had cookies and cream - loaded with cookies. Wife Carmel. I ended up choosing the rocky road. It was good overall, with a generous amount of marshmallows and chopped almonds, but the texture was a bit too soft for my liking. The small bits of chopped almonds just added to my dissatisfaction of the texture. While the taste was enjoyable, it wasn't something I'd go out of my way to get again especially since I was treated rudely. Unfortunately, what really turned me off was the service. While I was waiting for my waffle cone, my son was trying a few flavors and really liked one with Butterfinger bits. He asked me to get a sample so I can try how good it is. The young woman helping us (with blondish-red hair) clearly noticed we had already ordered and responded with a rude, dismissive look. She handed me the sample and said, "I need to take care of these other customers," in a tone that made us feel like we were an inconvenience. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary. Sampling is a normal part of the experience at ice cream shops, and the interaction felt unwelcoming. Because of that experience, I didn't recommend this place to others in my group, and I wouldn't return. I would have been happier with a soft serve cone at the Sedona McDonald's!
