    Solarium

The room is a bright, open solarium with an abundance of natural light. Both the food and drink menus are very solid. There are many local brews on tap in addition to the standard national brands. Wine list is adequate with some by the glass choices. Full bar is available. Food runs from tacos to burgers to entrees like steak, salmon, scallops. You can also order sushi from the adjoining Sakura Restaurant. Family friendly. Service welcoming and efficient. It delivers a very good meal, solid value and convenience to weary road warriors who stay here in the Doubletree.

Stayed at the DoubleTree and chose to use our dining credit as diamond members at the restaurant on site. The host first told me that I would have to place my order as room service in order to apply the credit, which includes an additional service charge. That is incorrect information - you can absolutely eat in the restaurant or order food to go and charge it to your room, without incurring that extra charge. Note: The server did understand that to go qualified. We ordered the Doubletree cookie cheesecake ("That is really good!" per my husband), the lava cake ("Mom, can we stop there again onE more time before we leave?" from my teen son), and the creme brulee, which is what I had. Check out the photos. It was the smallest serving I've ever seen, especially for nine bucks, and it looks like they just slung it into a small to go container. Tasted good, but I could not have been more disappointed in what I saw when I opened the box. Being in a hotel, you'd think they'd have to-go orders mastered by now.

A nice dining room in the Hilton Doubletree tree. There is a woodland mural done in wood overlooking the dining room. The food was actually quite good. The steak and peppercorn sauce was dynamite and Boursin mashed potatoes rounded out the meal deliciously. The service was on par with any fine dining establishment. The servers were professional, talkative, and attentive to any needs the diner has. The prices are on par with a nice restaurant not cheap but not in the stratosphere either.

While the lunch and dinner menu isn't very supportive of a plant-based diet, the breakfast buffet fit the bill nicely. Oatmeal made with water and not milk, breakfast potatoes and various fresh fruits made for a delicious breakfast. The best past was that they also offered soy creamer so my coffee was a lot more enjoyable. The lunch and dinner menu lists vegetarian as a category and not vegan. So they have salads with cheese but they do offer a bean burger as an option. The saving grace is that the bar has a few tasty local craft beers on tap so there's always a meal in a glass.

We were staying at the Doubletree, and it was sure convenient to just go downstairs to enjoy a good meal. There was no need for reservations on a Saturday evening. Our server was incredibly friendly and took good care of us. We were delighted to find out we could order off a partial menu of Sakura, which is immediately adjacent; the shared menu includes the appetizers, drinks, and the massive sushi menu, just none of the teppanyaki. We had the gyoza appetizer off that menu plus bacon-wrapped shrimp. Both were delicious. I had the wood-fired salmon for my entree. The whole plate was good, but I have to say the stand-out was the vegetables--so many places overcook them, but these were crisp, tender, and packed with their inherent flavors. My husband really enjoyed the French dip with fries. The check came out with perfect pacing when we were done, too.

For dropping $30 on desserts you'd expect higher quality. My husbands cheesecake was still frozen, and my creme brûlée was all sorts of disappointing. Soggy and do not recommend.

After a long hike at the Grand Canyon, I want some good sushi. It was very nice to return to the hotel sushi restaurant. We arrived 1 hour before closing. So, I told the young male server my full order. My one requested would be, do not deliver all the dishes at once. What do I see not 15-17 minutes after I have placed my order on my table Shrimp/ Bacon App, Sushi, Diner Salad, Seaweed Salad, Seafood Pasta, and Fillet Steak all at ONCE. They were quick I just felt rushed! Everything was perfect, and the sushi appetizer was tasty. There was only one thing that was off about the meal. The chief added a basic country brown gravy on my perfectly seasoned steak, Why?

Rough start with a 90% empty restaurant made us wait 10 mins. Service was pretty quick and polite once seated and the food came in about average time. The fish and chips were large and a great thin but crisp batter without being overcooked. Huge helping of thick fries and side of coleslaw. I am not a Asian food connoisseur but the stir fry with shrimp and fried rice was probably the best I've ever had, outstanding. Everything was cut nice sized and cooked thru, the sauce was great. Added just a touch of soy sauce to the rice but it was great mix and cook too. Shrimp perfectly cooked and costing $3 add on I figured maybe 3-4 pieces coming but it showed up with at least 8. Large clean place and prices were average for the area, we would recommend.

Breakfast at the double tree by Hilton was delicious during covid. Walk up to the podium, wait to be seated by host, sat at our table, the room is very well lit and beautiful windows to see the trees! I ordered the egg white omelette and it wasn't too oily like other places can make it! The fruit was fresh, I swapped my toast for fruit! The dish came with had browns, love them toasted and an orange garnish! Waters on order, orange juice was also pretty good! My sister ordered pancakes and fruit and she devoured them! Jennifer was a sweet waitress and checked on us in a timely manner! Thanks for a great stay!

We have been staying at the Doubletree hotel for about 5 days now and have received nothing but EXCELLENT service! I want to single out Bryce at the cafe and Don (maybe works banquets and not the cafe?) for their awesome service and personalities! Don served us at Thanksgiving brunch yesterday and we couldn't have been happier with him!! We have also been assisted by Bryce at least 3 times so far and he's been wonderful. It really has become so rare to find such great customer service and this hotel is rockin it! Everyone is nice and helpful and emits such a positive energy. I have had such a great time in Flagstaff and a lot of it is the great service at the hotel!!

Spartan furnishings. It appears that the cash cow is the Japanese-style restaurant in the adjacent space (Sakura).

The restaurant itself was clean and had a stylish modern-meets-vintage vibe that made the atmosphere feel both cozy and upscale. Their cocktail menu was especially unique. I ordered the Vendetta Ride, and it was easily one of my favorite drinks of the night: light, slightly sweet, and finished with just the right kick. I absolutely loved it. The menu features creative contemporary American cuisine with an emphasis on sharing plates, which made the experience even more fun. We ordered two appetizers, two mains, and a dessert, and overall everything was excellent. My only critique would be the Duck Taquitos. The duck flavor was not there, and the mesquite mole sauce leaned too sweet for my taste. Aside from that, every dish impressed us. Overall, it was a fantastic meal and a great dining experience. I don't know if chef changes the menus often BUT we had the fattoush salad, the bread board, cabbage, fideo with the venison sausage, and the chicken thighs and for dessert, we had the parsley and the apricot gelato. Yes, it sounds strange, parsley gelato but holy moly, it is probably one of the best desserts I've ever had. It is savory and sweet, so if you like really sweet desserts, it might not be your favorite but it is definitely unique and delicious. Everything was incredible. My only critique is that everything is a shareable and there's no way to serve each item, which is easily fixed with a serving spoon so, not really a critique. 11/10 food Service was great. Attentive without smothering me. Ambiance was good too. Not too crowded. Noise level was good. Go. You will not regret it.

It's basically a sandwich that looked at a side order and said, "Hop on, we're going together." Then Scott, the owner, came by. Turns out he's a former white-tablecloth restaurant guy who decided to bring his culinary wizardry to a laid-back grill. And you can feel it immediately. The guy doesn't just run the place, he hosts it. Now let's talk surprises. The hidden gem of the night was the ratatouille. Yes... ratatouille. At a grill known for burgers. And it was the best ratatouille I've had in 25 years. Somewhere in Provence a French grandmother just nodded approvingly. The onion rings? Fried perfection. Crispy, golden, and exactly what onion rings aspire to be when they grow up. The burgers themselves were a bit overcooked for my taste, which is the only reason this lands at four stars instead of five. But Scott's presence at the restaurant more than made up for it. The guy genuinely cares about his guests, checks in, chats, and makes the whole place feel welcoming. So here's the official scorecard: Food: Four Stars Onion rings: 5 Stars Ratatouille: 5 Stars Scott just being Scott: 6 stars (if Yelp allowed) Bottom line: go for the onion rings, stay for the ratatouille, and enjoy meeting Scott. Some restaurants have good food. This one has good people, and that's a recipe worth returning for.
