One of the friendliest places around that plays great alternative rock music. It's a store that carries souvenirs. I bought a beautiful leather purse for around $60. I found good bargains here and good quality. The wallets and leather items with a western type of theme were a good price. I ordered a latte at the Café located inside this store. I was so happy they had this drink on the menu. They don't have it around these parts. The employee working the counter was super nice. The latte was strong and good. I also got cookies. This place is roach infested beyond belief. They are so bad, they are out in the daylight hours. Employees have found them in the coffee and espresso machines and all other appliances in the building. But the owners choose to ignore the disgusting problems and keep screwing over the tourists and locals. I will be working with the health department to have this resolved. read more

DO NOT EAT BREAKFAST HERE!!! It's super sad, barely edible. I've never had to put ketchup on eggs, in my entire life. Obviously powdered eggs, bacon was thinner than Dennys if that's even somehow possible. We've laughed about this almost every other day since passing through. Cute gift shop though, but seriously, don't even be tempted by the breakfast, I don't think they even want to be serving it. Hard pass on the food, sorry folks read more

We stopped in for lunch. A little confusing cuz you walk through the eating area and order at the counter. Of course they want a tip before you get your total to pay. There's also a charge to use a credit card. It wasn't very busy yet we waited nearly 20 minutes for two sandwiches. Mine was just ok. My husband liked his much better. Nice shop for souvenirs, with a large selection of items. All sorts of things available here from standard cheap knick knacks to expensive jewelry. Lots of T-shirt designs and a few unique items I didn't see anywhere else. There's also an eatery in the back with a large menu. I didn't eat here but it looked like a good option. I went to Seligman with my family and we stopped at just about every store in town. A lot of the stores have similar items, but this store also has a restaurant. We parked here and started our day with coffee and breakfast at Road Runner. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. read more

Stopped here on our way to North Carolina. Great vibe, great service and the food was really good. I had the Nathan's chilli dog and it was as amazing as I've been hearing. I get to do this trip again in about 6 weeks and I can't wait to stop again. This is a definite dont miss stop on the mother road. read more

This place has the best service in town. I know, because I'm local. Sure it's a small town cafe, and maybe limited on some menu items, but the food is great and the people who work here are better. Do yourself a favor and stop in, whether it's for a yummy muffin, killer quesadilla, or a turkey wrap. They have some awesome Route 66 metal works and skull caps if you're looking for souvenirs. Stopped at Roadrunner for a quick breakfast on our way home from Williams, what a cute little shop with a cafe in the back. We found the service to be excellent and the employees were so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and prepared to order. This is a Fantastic place to stop for yummy food, great souvenirs , and super friendly staff! I was driving alone with my dog ( they love dogs!) and stopped in for a hot meal on my drive from Cali to Colorado. Had a Turkey pastrami sandwich and a delish Route 66 soda pop . The sammich hit the spot! The gal and guy working the restaurant and store were delightful ! So friendly and made my visit welcoming -even giving my pup some snacks for the road. I was heartbroken to detour through Seligman and find Snowcap closed for the season, but then I saw this place down the street and was warmly greeted as soon as I stepped in. Great selection of Route 66 merch is in front and then the cafe is in the back. I ordered an iced mocha with oat milk and it was DELICIOUS! Will definitely stop by again on my next trek to Vegas! read more

New place to try. We stopped there on our way home. We both had the Rt. 66 croissant breakfast sandwich. It was the best breakfast sandwich I ever had. The egg was extremely fluffy and very tasty. Mitchell our host was excellent. The cafe is located within a store about RT. 66. If you want good food with a nostalgic feeling and look, you should definitely stop by and try it out. read more

Who would have thought that a small town café in Arizona would have Nathan's Hot Dogs? I sure didn't & was in for a surprise! I hadn't had one since at least 1972, possibly earlier so seeing that on the menu made my choice a no brainer. Prices were very reasonable & considering how far off the beaten path it is makes it even better. Service was terrific & way more than I had expected but making you feel so welcome & that they appreciate your patronage. I'd say even so friendly as if you were family to them. My wife had a Grecian chicken salad that was generous & tasty. The staff even came by & asked if she wanted more dressing. Like I said, family. I saw on the special black board a ruben sandwich that if I see it next time (and there will defiantly be a next time!) I'll order that! read more

There are so many fun, photo-worthy spots out front, including the quirky vintage car that my son had to get a picture with. The covered patio was also perfect -- we happened to visit during some Arizona rain, but I imagine it's just as appreciated for shade on a hot sunny day. There are lots of brightly painted picnic tables and benches, and we even made friends with a sweet little local cat who was lounging on one of them. That alone made my son's day. The treats were genuinely excellent. My son had a root beer float and loved both the root beer and the ice cream. I had the banana shake, and it was easily the best banana shake I had all weekend -- and I tried several! I especially loved that it had actual pieces of fresh banana throughout rather than just banana flavoring. But the real Snow Cap experience is the humor. The gentleman behind the counter gave us plenty of personal attention and kept the jokes and gags coming the entire time. At one point he pretended to squirt mustard all over my son's shirt! I actually gasped before realizing the "mustard" was just a yellow string shooting out of the bottle! When we asked for a straw, he handed us a handful of literal straw. And when we asked for napkins, we got another whole routine about whether we wanted "yesterday's" napkin or "today's." Silly, corny, completely unexpected, and exactly the kind of Route 66 roadside humor that makes a stop memorable. My son is also fascinated by Guinness World Records, so he was especially impressed to learn that the Snow Cap holds the Guinness World Record for the largest display of milkshake varieties-- 266 different varieties! There was something especially meaningful about visiting during Route 66's centennial year. We had literally just come from next door, where we visited Angel Delgadillo's historic barbershop and museum and met Angel's daughter Clarissa. To walk from there directly over to Juan Delgadillo's Snow Cap and support another part of this remarkable family's Route 66 legacy felt really special. The Delgadillo family has played such an important role in keeping the history and spirit of Route 66 alive, and we felt genuinely honored to experience a little piece of it ourselves. The food came out quickly and was pipping hot! There is only outdoor seating, so you can bring your dogs. What was only okay and the reason for the 4 stars - I think this place is overhyped. The food was what I would expect from a fast food diner. Nothing special or exciting, which is disappointing based on all the good reviews. The line wasn't that long - there were maybe 5 people in front of us, and it took 15-20 minutes for us to order. I can only imagine how long the wait would be on a busy day.

After eating the food, which was quite good, I promptly packed up and left as soon as I could 25 minutes after being seated. I walked down to Brewed Awakenings, got a coffee there and sat down at my computer to do some work. In a small restaurant I totally understand that you need to keep tables moving so there is not a wait, but there is a polite and subtle way to message to a patron that they need to move along so other folks can sit down. You can deliver the check early, ask if you are finished, ask if there is anything else you need. Ways to communicate to a patron that they need the table. This was certainly not it. I eat out often, I tip very well, but I have to say this is the first time I felt unwelcome and rushed at a place in a very, very long time. While the food was good, this was not the way to start off day 2 of my roadtrip. In today's economy, making your customers feel like they need to eat and run, and doing so in a rude way, is a master class in how to make your restaurant fail. I do not recommend this place.

I look at these things & wonder where else have they cut corners to such an extreme. One thing that is beyond their control is the sales tax you pay in Chino Valley. It adds a 4% on top of state & county tax. You end up paying that tax in this town even if you just buy food at a market, which I personally view as just wrong. I visit Lake Havasu once in a while where they add just 1% but the roads aren't full of pot holes & have all the services one would need.
