We had a great experience at The Red Raven. I definitely recommend that you make reservations. They get very busy at dinner time and for good reason. The restaurant is cozy, clean, and well appointed. I loved the fresh tablecloths for each new guest. I also loved the starched red napkins. I had a blackberry old fashioned and my wife had a pomegranate martini. Both were balanced and fair pours. The Old Fashioned could have been mixed with ice before hitting the glass, but I am picky that way. We both had ribeye steaks and the kitchen nailed the temps. The cuts were average and the seasoning was a bit light. Our sides were hot. We ended the meal with the Chocolate Trilogy dessert and it was scrumptious. The cocktails are superb and the food is very good. I felt that the pricing was pretty low compared to a major metro area steakhouse. The people were the best. read more

The hostess immediately said "no pets allowed" when she saw my service dog. When I explained it was a service animal, she demanded to see credentials, which is illegal under the ADA. Businesses can only ask if the animal is required for a disability and what task it performs - they cannot demand documentation. I showed my documentation to avoid conflict. The hostess then went to speak with the manager about my service dog. When she came back, she told me there was a reservation, and could accommodate me at 8:30pm (that was about two hours). I waited but was never called. It seems like this was just an excuse to keep me from dining there with my service dog. The staff definitely needs training on ADA laws and disability rights. This treatment was discriminatory and unacceptable. read more

Red Raven is our favorite restaurant in Williams! I always make a reservation ahead of time when we go. The restaurant is a bit more upscale than others in the area, but casual attire is still perfectly fine. You can really taste the quality of the food--it's a step above other places we've tried in Williams. My kids can be picky eaters, but they absolutely love the Chicken Parmigiana and baked lasagna and order them every time! As a family, we've enjoyed every dish we've tried here. read more

The food, the service, the classic feel of a cozy restaurant were what made me feel this place was 5 star worthy. Reservations may be recommended during the weekend but we came here two days in a row, Wednesday and Thursday, and were sat immediately. We sat at the bar the first night. Quite small but I liked it. Felt cozy and like we were vip! I ordered their burger special the first night. Medium rare and it was perfect. I love onion rings in my burger but the Korean bbq sauce was what made this burger extra tasty. The bun was slightly toasted and everything tasted fresh and amazing. The second night I ordered their fish taco special. It was cooked fresh as well with a side of rice. That was good as well but nothing beat that flavorful burger. We stopped by for lunch while visiting Williams. We looked at the other restaurants and chose this one because of its appealing brunch menu. The service was fast and amazing. The food tasted good. We had fajitas and a turkey sandwich. All tasted pretty good. My only disappointment was the size of the fajitas and the accompaniments. There was barely any rice, beans , guacamole and salsa. Staff checked in occasionally but lacked impressiveness or warmth in this cozy, historic Route 66 spot. The atmosphere suits Williams' tourist vibe near Grand Canyon, but it didn't elevate the meh experience. Super busy resturant in Williams. We had to wait like 30-45 mins on a Saturday night, which I guess is normal. It's right in the heart of downtown. The food was actually pretty good and the service was alright. The interior is mixed of booths and tables and it's kinda of on the dimmer side. Ambiance from outside & while in was misleading as looks like old diner type decor. Don't be mislead or walk away as not fancy but worth the bite! We had a waitress that was not very talkative so when asked what she recommends she gave us couple of choices. We went with Caprese salad and rolls for app - salad was good but small for 4. They loved the rolls with the butter. I ordered Malbec - excellent pair with my filet which was well seared and tender. We were worried about bacon wrap as often the chef elsewhere forget to cook it well and we always want the steak seared nicely. This chef got the job done cooked to our perfect temp, salted nicely as well! Vegetables were grilled perfectly not soggy but instead crispy! The wedge was good but served in an oddly small dish which made it difficult to chop up. The steaks were perfect. Garlic mash was really good. Hubby loved his mixed veggies. You blink you can miss this place. Small red door and ring the door bell. Place is small when first entering but spacious in back. Ambience is good. Waitress greeted us & provided us a menu. Waitress provided very good service. We noticed all of staff was friendly and spoke with us. We were not hungry but needed to eat a light dinner because we had lunch at 1 & it was 6 pm. Upon arriving to Williams we wanted to have a nice dinner on our first night. We are very glad we chose Red Raven as it was the perfect start to our vacation. The restaurant seating capacity is fairly small so during busy times a reservation is definitely recommended. However we got there right before the Friday night dinner rush and didn't have to wait. Our server was fantastic and the food was wonderful. We ordered iced teas, a Caesar salad, garlic smoked shrimp skewers and smothered portobello mushroom steak. We came here after reading the reviews and I will tell you we enjoyed everything! First of all it was a party of 10 and we showed up without reservations on a Saturday night.. we were seated within 10 minutes. Now, this was off season- so high tourist season may be different. We had drinks: 4 espresso martinis (creamy and regular), a pomegranate martini, a glass of wine, and 3 Guinness beers- for apps: 2 bread baskets and the caprese salad- for dinner: the duck, pork tenderloin, 2 salmon entrees, lasagna, 2 NY strip steaks, lamb salad, chicken Caesar, and a kid fettuccine Alfredo- desserts: crème brûlée and cheesecake with raspberry sauce. Our bill came out to $600 (which included an 18% grat)... for being in a tourist town and having good food, cocktails and dessert... we cannot complain! Every person (and we have several picky eaters) was happy with the food. It was a lovely experience. We had good service, great food and a wonderful family dining experience. If you are considering a nice, sit-down, meal with a group- I highly recommend Red Raven! read more

I added the wedge salad as my side and it was huge. Alam was quick to offer another plate so my husband could share.. service is great. I got the little bread basket and it comes with some kind of chive butter and man it was delicious. To drink, I went with an old fashioned because that's just the kind of drink you get here. Well made, delicious drink with my favorite cherries. To eat, I got the ribeye(medium rare obviously) with asparagus and tempura broccolini, which was new to me. All of it was just good as hell. Ribeye was cooked perfect, seasoned well with some great char from the grill. Really enjoyed trying the tempura broccolini, rich but cooked well and nice to eat. Food arrived without silverware. We tried to flag down multiple employees but were ignored, they seemed understaffed. Once that was sorted out, the food was extremely bland and overcooked. Roasted chicken, salmon, and pork tenderloin were nearly inedible - dry and lacking any flavor at all. For the prices they are charging, this was very disappointing.
