The service was very good, he was friendly and explained a couple things and checked on me many times. The food was quite good! I got the little bread basket and it comes with some kind of chive butter and man it was delicious. To drink, I went with an old fashioned because that's just the kind of drink you get here. Well made, delicious drink with my favorite cherries. To eat, I got the ribeye(medium rare obviously) with asparagus and tempura broccolini, which was new to me. All of it was just good as hell. Ribeye was cooked perfect, seasoned well with some great char from the grill. Really enjoyed trying the tempura broccolini, rich but cooked well and nice to eat. Wanted that dessert but boy, that steak was filling and 100% worth it. Absolutely return here next time I'm in town! read more

Arrived with a party of 8, with a reservation, were told we could sit in separate booths or wait up to 30 minutes for them to combine booths. Because of timing we chose to split our tables. Food arrived without silverware. We tried to flag down multiple employees but were ignored, they seemed understaffed. Once that was sorted out, the food was extremely bland and overcooked. Roasted chicken, salmon, and pork tenderloin were nearly inedible - dry and lacking any flavor at all. For the prices they are charging, this was very disappointing. Red Raven lived up to their reputation! We came in for dinner after the car show and had a round of Old Fashions, a Gin Martini, and Pomegranate Martinis. It was a bit of a date night and I was looking for a white table cloth experience with my wife and some close friends. Alma and the owner took care of every detail ... we started with Shrimp appetizers and they were both fantastic! A little Stoneleigh Sauv Blanc, which is a rare find and exceptional, the pairing couldn't have been better. We had the Rib Eye, NY Steak, Salmon Oscar, Salmon and a Wedge Salad - mashed potatoes and asparagus ... all of it cooked to order and spot on! Paired with a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon ... all incredible pairings taking the experience to a whole-nother level. Of course there was desert of which was Lemon Cake and Chocolate Cake ... unreal! Some Frangelico, Lemoncello, and I can't remember! Don't drink and drive - we had a driver. The restaurant is straight forward with simple decor and booths. The bar is made for a small group of three, but who needs to sit before dinner!?!?! Great liquor selection, the wine list is well thought out and plays to the food menu perfectly, making the choices difficult. Always perfection!! I always end up with Alma, and she is pure magic... starting to think I go there because of her. I always order the duck, and whatever magical drink I see her making while I wait. Taking care of my mother right now, so took her there for the duck... perfection, and Alma waited on us, made our special drinks, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My mother has been with me for a month, she's 83, super picky about food and hates most of it... she enjoyed the duck (I'm shocked), but she also really liked Alma!! Wow, this place needs some major help with their service, because I had an almost identical experience to a reviewer from April 1st where we were completely forgotten. We were there later in April and got asked to move after we had our drinks even after we called for a reservation so that they could accommodate a larger party. No problem - we moved for them but then no one came to our new table again, ever. We saw the people at our old table get their entrees before ours. When we eventually spoke up, it turned out our server never put our entree order in, which is a reasonable mistake, but she never ever even checked on us after we moved. Our waters were empty for a good 20 minutes before we found someone who was able to help. It was busy but it's like the wait staff there don't understand basic table service methodology like when you go into the dining room, check on every one of your tables. That doesn't mean you need to interact every time but look at them to make sure they have drinks and hey, why are these people still sitting there with no food? And this was on my 87 year old mom's birthday, which they knew about from the reservation, but even after leaving us completely ignored and so hungry, they couldn't bring her a complimentary dessert for her birthday? C'mon man. Now there was no charge for my sister's glass of wine on the bill but nobody said anything about that - was that just another error? The food - there were a few good items like the shrimp appetizer, but I'm sorry to report that the food was not worth that wait. The pepper steak was mostly fat. Their common veggie side is called a tempura, but it's not a soft, light tempura batter. They're just serving battered, deep fried veggies instead of making good, roasted ones. They don't want substitutions for the deep fried veggies either. We were exhausted after a long day in the canyon and just wanted a nice meal to celebrate my mom. I would rate it lower if I could. Maybe their dinner is good but brunch was not a good experience. Our server was very nice, but the food was just not good. Someone from our party sent their food back because it was just not that great. She didn't want to eat it anymore, that was all. She didn't ask for a refund or demand something else instead, she just decided not to eat. The manager came over and was so rude to us. She said "well that's just how it is" no other comment. It was very dismissive and disrespectful because we hadn't done anything to make her talk that way to us. We didn't insult the restaurant or the food or even complain! So for her to come up and say that to us was crazy to me. She also didn't take it off our tab, which I thought was odd because we didn't eat any of that meal. I work in a restaurant myself and if someone sent their food back (and didn't eat any of it) we would take it off of their tab without a question. Terrible customer service on their behalf. This restaurant seems like it's going downhill and she doesn't know how to handle it. I would not recommend coming here. It is definitely the worst restaurant we have been to in the area so far. Hello folks Happy Thanksgiving, Jen & I with my daughter Jordan & her husband Joe and Opal our granddaughter are spending Thanksgiving giving in Williams Arizona and have a busy schedule. We will be eating at a few of the local restaurants so here's review #1 The reviews were good so headed that direction ( note you need to a make a reservation ) I wasn't aware of that but was there earlier enough that they were able to seat us, we all ordered something different and was satisfied with our decision, the staff was very friendly and the Ambiance was nice. I'm very confused by the complaints, most of them seem to be about portions but to be transparent... really upscale food places aren't serving you Outback portions because of the quality of the food. I got the lamb sirloin with chimichurrri sauce and the horseradish mashed potatoes. Absolutely devine. The flavors were brilliant together. For dessert we obviously had to get some crème brûlée .. was it as good as my mom's? No. Was this a damn good crème brûlée for a restaurant? Absolutely. Caprese salad for the appetizer, delicious but a bit salty. Finally.. service was great. Tommy and I spent the night in Williams, AZ and he searched vegan opportunities. Red Raven came up with a few. Downtown is magical in the Fall with holiday lights and cool weather. We called and made a reservation which I recommend. They were busy the whole time we were there. I ordered the smothered portobello and it was delicious. It came with potatoes and brussel sprouts. We got into town during the early evening and wanted a quiet dinner without a huge bill. We looked around and as prices go this was in the middle of the road. The restaurant had a fair amount of diners but it was quiet, clean and nice. I ordered the NY steak and my wife ordered the salmon. We live about 30 minutes from Monterey Bay and I commercially fish so I was apprehensive about the salmon. The NY steak was excellent, cooked to perfection and the salmon... well... I wish I ordered the salmon. It was excellent, I mean excellent. Far superior to restaurants along the California coast or any $$$$ restaurants. The waiter was excellent, very accommodating and always made sure we were okay and our drinks topped off. I highly recommend the restaurant, it's affordable and it's excellent. read more

My Grand Hotel at Tusayan has closed the kitchen for unspecific mechanical problems. The El Tovar was fully booked for dinners. Searching in Williams I discover this gem. All the employees were very friendly and accommodating. The food was superb. I recommend this place to everyone. They make my day! I remember Wiliams from my first visit in 1996. Then I remember almost nonexisting Williams from 2011! It was so depressing. And now I'm very happy to visit Williams again in his glory. read more

Stopped here on the way from Grand Canyon National Park to Phoenix around 7PM on Tuesday night. Food was OK but pricey. We ordered an appetizer, our meals and four waters. Our server brought us waters and our appetizers arrived 15 minutes later. After seeing multiple tables around us get their meals, we were still waiting. About an hour after we ordered I checked with who I think was a manager about our order as our server was busy with other tables and could not get her attention. She went back and checked and our server made a mistake and only put In the appetizer order. After the manager apologized and rushed our order we finally got our meals and ate. The ribeye steak I ordered was cooked correctly but had a lot of waste (fat, etc.).. They did take a chunk off the bill to make up for the inconvenience we incurred, so credit to them for that. I appreciate that as at the time we had nowhere else to go but fast food by the time they discovered the error. I just wonder how long we would've sat there had I not brought it to the possible manager's attention. They should implement some process checks to make sure this doesn't happen to someone else. read more

Our favorite restaurant in Williams! We're always greeted warmly as we come in. The menu has something for everyone, including children. The steak is excellent and the chef cooks it perfectly to my taste, blue. I also like the salmon. They have a nice selection of wines liquor, after dinner drinks and deserts. Highly recommend. Disappointing. After reading the reviews we expected better food and larger portions. The half chicken was obviously a bantam because it was so small. The pork chop was hiding under a stalk of deep fried broccoli. The chicken parm was good but too small. Salmon was a hit. Cute place. Very nice server. But, not a place to recommend. The service was very fast and very nice. A Shirley temple was not on the menu but the hostess still made one for me which was very kind. I had the filet and it was cooked to perfection. The brussel sprouts and mash complements the steak well. The restaurant itself is really lovely, not too big but perfect for a nice meal. Worth the money and wasn't crazy priced for the quality. This is a great place. The first time we came there for dinner we did not know that we have to make a reservation, however, they found a table for us. This place is always crowded I highly recommend making a reservation before you go there. The restaurant by itself is not big but cozy. We were seated right by the window and it was so nice. We had the best experience, the food was amazing. I tried their special "Grilled Breast of Duck" it was really good. They have a great selection of wines and they serve good cocktails. The staff is nice and friendly. We came there the next day with a reservation because we loved this place so much. The next I tried "Baked Lasagna" and it was amazing. I was here for dinner and the ambiance of the place was very nice. They even had a small fake candle on our table to get that mood right. I ordered tea and chicken parmigiana. At the end of our order the server asked each of us what we wanted with our orders pasta or soup. I asked for a salad that I later found out was not included (not a problem but would've been nice to know). The chicken was cooked perfectly and pasta was well seasoned and tasty. In my opinion the portion size was on the smaller side because I was still hungry afterwards. The server was not so great because we ordered a second bread that never made it to our table. One of the best places in Williams to eat! Me and my family stopped by for dinner and glad we did! The appetizers were very good we had the caprese and Edamame they were both very flavorful. I had a cappuccino martini and man was it good !! For dinner I had the spicy shrimp and pasta one of the best pasta plates ever the shrimp was nice a big and the sauce was just right not to spicy but not to plain. The rest of my family had streak and they didn't leave anything for the dish washer to clean on there plates !! They also had dessert and the same very good and nothing left for the dishwasher to clean. You should go and have dinner or Lunch and if there is a wait it will be worth it!! The wedge was a perfect size but the ranch, bacon bits, onions , blue cheese crumbles ant tomatoes were almost non existent. I had to order an extra ranch just to get it down. The salmon was a 5oz food service piece that had good taste, but seemed old and hard. The wife's spicy shrimp pasta dish was good. We had been on the road for two weeks on vacation, Williams was our last stop before home. We had been eating at casual places up to this point & decided to treat ourselves to a bit of a more upscale meal, Red Raven did not disappoint! I had made reservations for 5:15 on a Tuesday, it wasn't necessary but this is a tourist town so as the lady who answered the phone said, you just never know when it might get busy. As it was, when we arrived, there were about four tables taken but within a half hour, they were out of tables, so it's wise to make the reservation. Luis was our server & he was great! He was friendly, helpful with suggestions and checked in with us several times. I believe the owner made our drinks, they were excellent! My husband got the pepper steak and said it was excellent, I got the shrimp tempura & it was outstanding, so many huge shrimp, I reluctantly had to leave two behind! We also added the bread basket with the garlic herb butter, OMG, it was sooooo good! We got the gelato for dessert, very good! They have a huge variety of wines, we each had a glass of their house Pinot Noir, so smooth. Was it a bit of a pricey meal, yes but the atmosphere, cozy and quiet, the service and the quality of the food was well worth it!
