Our group of 8 were greeted and sat quickly! I tried the Sonoran hot dog, and it was absolutely delicious! The bacon-wrapped dog was perfectly grilled, the bun was soft and slightly sweet, and all the toppings -- beans, onions, tomato, and that creamy sauce -- came together for the perfect bite. I was craving a Sonoran dog so I decided to finally try this place out. I got it to go so I only dealt with the initial front of house, she was very kind and curious. After I ordered I grabbed a local paper and sat in their lobby. The restaurant is very welcoming and well put together. Clean and rustic. As far as the hot dog it was pretty much everything I wanted. It was a true Sonoran dog. A basic dog wrapped in bacon with all the fixings. The dog itself could have been bigger BUT the bun was perfect and took the show, it was soft airy and buttery, the beans, grilled onions, mayo, mustard, and pico were excellent. It came with a char grilled jalapeno that tied it all together. For $5 I was more than happy. Like I said I wish the dog filled the bun more but all in all it was delicious and this business seems genuine. I'll definitely go back! read more

Very friendly service and great food! Came here after sitting at the brewery for a couple of hours. The brewery barely had any cheese dip tonight so they were limited in options. my husband has searched high and low for a good white menudo, and here he hit paydirt. He loved it gave it 5 stars plus. Lots of hominy, great broth and overall flavor was the closest to his mom's he's ever had. The homemade salsa has the perfect kick to it. The hot dog was good but the carne asada taco was excellent. We just bought a winter home in Clarkdale and yelped to find food in town. At first we were thrown by the name thinking it was just hot dogs. Luckily we ventured inside. Was greeted by Ruby and sat inside. The chips and salsa are EXCELLENT - both homemade and delicious. The menu is mainly ala cart items and you can order beans/rice on the side. My husband LOVES their cabeza tacos and he gets them every time. I love the carne asada and pollo asado tacos. Birria tacos also good. We've been back numerous times and the food is always excellent. We tried the Sonora hot dog and it was good. We have taken family with us two times and they liked it too. They had the carne asada burrito and carne asada quesadilla. Both looked excellent. Only suggestions - try some background music for some added atmosphere and figure out a way to refill chips and salsa more often. I know they are made fresh but would love to have 'bigger' basket and bigger salsa bowl since they are so delicous. Ruby always seems to be there and she is fantastic. We recently bought a home in Clarkdale and have enjoyed dinner here twice. All 4 dishes we've had were delicious!! Ruby is friendly, hard-working, and very proud to run this restaurant with her father. The restaurant is named for their former Sonoran-style hot dog food truck (still on the menu) but they have a full menu of great Mexican food also. Looking forward to trying the hot dog next visit. We prefer to spend our money locally as much as possible and are very happy we'll have this great "go-to" close to home in Clarkdale. read more

Food was amazing! The homemade salsa was some of the best I've had - perfect flavor and heat. The ceviche was killer! Only thing I would change with the ceviche is to serve it in a bowl so you can spoon up all the juices. The tortas de asada was delicious and savory. I highly recommend! The service was super friendly and attentive. You can tell she likes her role and is truly wanting you to enjoy your visit. The ambiance was nice with a Mexican family friendly vibe. Arriving pre-lunch hour, I was not greeted by the young lady at the hostess desk - such that I wasn't sure I was in the right space. Kind of awkward. Only one table was occupied, that had just been served food, in what seemed like a large, comfortable space. Ordering immediately, I waited 20-30 minutes for my food, while a couple other patrons arrived and were promptly seated. The food was hit and miss, but has great potential. I tried all three tacos, which are authentic street tacos (though you can get them on flour tortillas too). The best was the Taco de Barbacoa (shredded beef), which was steaming hot and delicious! It's the only taco that came with a lime wedge. The Taco de Asada (steak) was barely warm and the beef was tough. The Quesa Birria Taco, though tasty, was literally cold. I also tried the Hotdog Sonora style, served with a whole jalapeno pepper. It lived up to the hype, yum! The bun was especially fresh, outstanding and so soft! Due to food/temperature inconsistencies, I'm giving 3 stars overall. I came to support a new local business, but felt a general operational inexperience and training issues in running a restaurant. They are definitely still working out the kinks. Will come back and try them again. Parking in gravel lot or on street in front of restaurant is plentiful. The side of the building facing parking says, "Su Casa" but the entrance faces the street next to the Hermosillo Hot Dogs banner. read more

I'm happy to see this new restaurant in Clarkdale, and hope they stick around. The salsa served with the fresh tortilla chips is some of the best I've ever had. The Sonoran dog is off the charts! The tacos are great, too. A liquor license would top it all off, but that takes time. Service is excellent, but just a little slow. Since they just opened, I'm sure they will iron out the kinks. I would love to rate the food at this establishment however it is currently 8:41 PM on a random Friday the 13th, and these mama jammas are closed! I was patiently waiting at the very much open bar across the street, thinking about a bomb ass hot dog or even a quesadilla, and to my surprise only minutes later to see all the lights off and whatvi can only assume to be the staff, leaving out the back door. I wish I had a quesadilla. I'm hungry. Is there a Taco Bell around this joint? I don't know but there are definitely bats around here. Grumble grumble, that's my stomach. We visited Clarkdale, AZ last week and had the pleasure of eating lunch at Hermosillo Hot Dogs. This restaurant started as a food truck run my Manny and his daughter Ruby. I must say that we absolutely loved the Sonoran hotdogs here. They are packed so full of flavor. I must also mention how clean and spotless this restaurant is and how Ruby is such a hard worker.
