Read before coming here!! I am honestly beyond disappointed and upset with this place. Trust the reviews because they are accurate. I was here last week, and after reading the reviews, I really wish I had listened. This was one of the worst nail experiences I've ever had. The nail tech was extremely rough while filing and buffing my nails, and my fingers were cut and left hurting to the point they still feel numb. On top of that, my nails came out with obvious bubbles and were completely uneven in length and shape. Now I can't even touch anything or cook because of the cuts on almost every single nail, which is how painful and poorly done they are. The wait time was ridiculous, and the whole experience felt rushed and careless once they finally started. I left with painful, poorly done nails and zero satisfaction. Do NOT come here if you care about your nails or your time. Especially after reading the reviews, I can see I'm not the only one who had a bad experience. This was my first time coming here and I don't think I'll be coming back. It was a 35 min wait which was okay with me but when the guy started my nails they were times he would stop and go to another customer an start doing there's and notice they don't clean the tools so I was got worried the guy there was also going slow on doing my nails it did look like he was in training or learning b/c later on they switched me with another nail artist and she started fixing the nail although they were nice people I didn't like that I was there for almost 3 hours which was crazy to me read more

I was going here for a while to get my lashes done by Amy. I would never go back as she burned my eyelids by leaving glue remover on so long (at least 40 minutes?!) I don't know now whether my lashes will now even ever grow back. She got the glue in my eyes multiple times but the last time she did them she left the glue on and told me don't open my eyes and walked off to do other peoples pedicures!??? I know this only because I had to use the restroom so badly for so long, that I had to start calling out her name (talk about feeling stupid). She was 6 feet away from me I later discovered because I finally couldn't hold it anymore and I opened my eyes to crack (burrrned like crazyyy) and saw her sitting there ignoring me! im literally CALLING FOR HER!! So again I call her name louder and she waves me off and tells me "just wait" ...(??) I said I have to use the restroom and she again ignored me! honestly I was in total disbelief. I could not believe it I felt like I was trapped in the twilight zone. Anyhow I was stupid enough to go back each time soooo...(you get what you pay for.. when will i learn) Every time I went in my lashes would look different. She also tweezed one of my OWN lashes out accidentally... it hurt like I cannot tell you what. I still have a small blister (or??) months later from where she did this. I have barely any lashes left. Needless to say I will never go back. Also, the last time I went to her, I actually let her do my nails. What a huge mistake!! This is what they look like a month later. She painted (gel) on so thick it was insane. I've had my nails done many times and never did they look like this. Anyhow I could not pry these things off and they hurt terribly because she had ground so much of my own nails down that the nails she painted on were literally at attached partially to my nail bed underneath. So I came here to have my dip powder removed and do a regular manicure and waited 2 hours for them to finally take them off for them to leave my nails soaking for over 30 minutes while they did someone else's pedicure who got there about 2 hours after me. I was in town visiting and had some free time so I decided to get my nails done. After a brief Google search, I found two nearby places. I entered the first spa (I will not share their name) and was greeted with a lukewarm welcome. In addition the fumes from the products were overwhelming. So I left and went to the next spa on the list - Highland Nails. Upon walking in I was warmly and professionally greeted! Next I noticed that there were multiple clients being serviced, and even more came in after me; which is a good sign. Also the odor from the products was minimal - more about that later. It got better; it is safe to assume that the nail techs first language is not English. I mention that because the person who greeted me took steps to assure that the technician assigned to care for me clearly understood my wishes, doing so in a dignified and respectful manner. I was impressed with the thoughtfulness! About the ability to breath without feeling suffocated, I found out that they used portable air purifiers to help reduce the smell of the chemicals, again thoughtful! The person who greeted me is Amy and she stated that they have been in business for 15 yrs, which is amazing! Congrats to you! I will end by saying this, most of the negative reviews are from people having to "wait". Imagine that.....other people wanting to get service too. Don't waste your time or money! I went in to get acrylic dipped nails. Kin was doing my nails he placed the tips on and started to cut the sides of the nails (I don't ask him to do that), I immediately stopped him, asked him what he was doing. I told him I wanted dipped nails, he pulls out a white powder, and again I asked him what he was doing. He said putting powder on my nails...umm that's not what I asked for. He finally gets the dip and starts to dip my nails which was fine until he dipped them 6 times! I've gotten my nails dipped several times at different salons never have I ever had them dipped 6 times. I told him they are thick, look a mess, and to take them off. He told me he was done doing my nails and the lady would finish them. So Amy comes over trying to fix the situation by finishing my nails and she did just okay. I know I will never ever go back there!! Oh not to mention they cut my cuticles and actually cut my skin so I cannot even get this mess removed because the acetone will burn! My nails are thick and bumpy it's ridiculous! I wouldn't recommend anyone here based on my experience and the terrible customer service. Worst salon experience I've ever had. This was my first time at this nail salon, my partner and I had just finished our dinner and wanted a pedicure to celebrate our anniversary. Not only is the service terrible, the quality of their work...well, the photos speak for themselves. They talked about me poorly in Vietnamese (I'm Viet - I speak and understand it), they also rushed my partner out of his chair once they were finished with his pedicure, although he was wanting to wait with me as they were still working on mine (it was near closing time so I know they didn't need that chair for another customer). At one point during my pedicure, a strand of the nail tech's hair was on my foot and she didn't notice, I had to notify her about it. There were also flies in this establishment - kind of difficult to relax when a fly lands on you. I told the manager about this experience but all she continued to pry about was the tip money. I left with 2 bloody toes and an unfortunate experience. Take my word, do NOT come to this salon. read more

However, upon arrival they had me wait while my other 2 friends started there pedicures. Once i was seated another man walked in wanting a pedi. He was waiting awhile and was complaining so when the lady was done filing and cleaning my feet she left me there and moved on to work on his feet. My sister and I were trying to find a nail salon that could do our nails on a Sunday after 5:30 and the only place that would take us was here. We came in and the wait wasn't super long but there were lots of people in a small nail salon. It was the worst experience I've had getting my nails done.. instead of soaking my nails to remove them, the lady doing mine tipped them off, and the person who soaked my sisters, left hers soaking for at least 25 minutes before I had to ask someone to get her out of the acetone. We got out nails done barely a week ago and I already have one cracked nail and another is chipping off and I have not done anything super strenuous since I've gotten them done. My mom recently came, had a small cut she wasn't aware of and when the equipment they use came in contact with her finger it became infected days later (Fungal). I loved the customer service from the moment I walked in. The owner Amy was very attentive to my needs to make sure I was fully satisfied. And it wasn't just me she treated everyone this way. She literally worked herself until everything was done, you rarely see that kind of work ethic anymore. Theresa's another older woman that did my pedicure and she was absolutely amazing. I come to highland nails every 2 weeks and there's no other place I would rather go. Amy does an amazing job doing my nails and never complains about what design I come up with. The lady STOLE from me eyelashes are 23 dollars she put her hand over the receipt while was signing it and when she moved her hand she had charged me 25$ I let it slide thinking maybe there not doing good and increased the price and tipped her 2 dollars anyway making the total 27$ I wrote 27 in the total and didn't put 2$ in the tip amount I didn't think I needed to since I wrote the total and signed and to my surprise my bank tells me highland nails took 28 from me ! My sister told me about this place and how they have specials Mon-Wed. $15 full set and $18 pedicures! So, I decided to check it out. The first visit was great! The woman who did my set did a GREAT job. The decor is a little dishelved; there is a picture of a freshly manicured hand holding a gun, showing off her nails. Ummmm.. yes, made me a little nervous! LOL I went again last night for my first fill and pedicure. Pedicure was amazing! Very relaxing and not rushed. The fill on the other hand, was a little more frustrating. A man did my fill this time. He was very rushed and very quick. I asked him if I could get the buffing cream instead of the UV clear polish, as I needed to get back to work and didn't have time to sit under the UV lamp. He shook his head no, and continued working on my nails. I politely told him I had a bad experience with the UV polish- it caused bubbles and un-evenness, and I would like to use the buffering cream instead. He said they didn't have that. I looked to my right and there it was, a tub of buffering cream with the buffer. I put this past me and went ahead and did the UV polish.. maybe theirs would be different than the others I had before? NO. After 3 minutes under the lamp, bubbles formed on all fingers except one on my left hand. I went up to the man to show him, and he proclaimed they were smooth, no problems. Was he serious?! After nagging him for about 3 minutes he sent me over to a lady who put another coat of polish on top and another 3 minutes under the lamp. Once again, bubbles. I showed it to him again. He said one word, "fine." No, their not fine!! Finally, the lady he was giving a pedicure to said "I really think you need to address your unhappy customer," and gave me a wink. THANK YOU! So, once again, another layer of polish and UV time. There are still bubbles under my nails. I was in such a hurry to get back to work, I didn't even bother. I had a pretty terrible experience. The two women that worked on my hands and feet were brand new. They had no idea what they were doing. The going lady doing my hands was sweet and tried her hardest but bless her heart it wasn't good at all. Now the lady that did my feet was awful. It was very painful. She scrubbed my feet for a total of 15 secs each and then proceeded to watch TV while she held on to my foot for 15 mins. The "massage" part of it was basically her gently rubbing lotion on my legs and feet for 30 secs each. I chose to not let her paint my nails. She was more concerned about her manicure than mine. The manager i think was no better. She sat on the waiting couch the entire time even though another customer walked in. That customer sat in a chair for 20 mins without any service. I told them that it was the worst service and nails i have ever gotten. I still paid for everything. $50 and i will have to go somewhere else to get my nails re done. I don't recommend this place. Service was awful and my nails are ugly. I was really patient with them but at the end of the day my nails are uneven and i still have calluses on my feet with cuts on my cuticles. read more
