Wait your turn, please. Someone needs some retaining in customer service and professional conduct.

While sitting in traffic on the 60 West bound just after merging from the 57 North, slowly moving along in the slow lane, I notice a white pickup pop out of line behind me from about 10 to 15 cars back. I knew exactly what he was doing, he was skipping ahead using the extra on ramp's merging lane. Initially, this bothers me when this happens because the majority of people are waiting their turn but there's always someone who thinks their time is more important and cuts in front of the line. What made this instance interesting was the fact that this was a work truck with "Highland Commercial Roofing" printed in large bold lettering on the side, various state licensing numbers included and all. This move was very unprofessional, and driving this way in a marked work truck isn't fair to the company if in fact the company holds their workers to a high standard. The bottom line is that this behavior reflects poorly on the company, and I'd worry about what other types of inpatient or dishonest behavior this may translated to on the work site if I were looking for company to handle a job.

Carlos came out and provided 2 different quotes, one for full replacement and another one for replacing only a portion to include upgrading all the vents. I wasn't expecting that but after consideration, I thought that was the best option. We scheduled the repair and they were prompt, professional, and clean. His team came out on time and worked like a machine to complete in one day. They cleaned up after they were done and then the foreman came out same day to inspect and perform quality control. Aside from saving me thousands on our options, I was very impressed with SoCal from start to finish. I would highly recommend their services.

I really wanted to give this company 5 stars because of Jose, the foreman. He was amazing to work with, attentative, and prompt. Salt of the earth! Carlos, the owner, was also amazing, prompt, straightforward, knowledgeable. They did an amazing job on my roof. Roof itself 5/5. No complaints. However, I do believe the job and the service itself is 3 stars. Not bad but not amazing. I ended up walking away from this experience just kind of meh but wanted to share my honest thoughts so it'll help others. That being said, there were a couple hiccups that happened along the way. No one contacted me prior to the day of my start date/roof removal. The office manager kind of chucked it as the person who supposed to let me know was out sick. They require someone be home to sign off on the work so not letting me know seemed off.. Not a peep about what time theyll be arriving, what to expect. Etc. Yes, they walk you through this process during quotation but thats about 4 to 6 weeks out before the actual day. They also didnt let me know which day or what time. I had to reach out myself multiple times. The team is quick but I also think their speed leaves them a bit careless. After they were done, I was left with a patched ceiling (beautifully patched but I feel like shouldn't have happened in the first place), kitchen/outdoor light that no longer works, loose recessed lighting,, and plumbing leak. They also let you know and disclose that things may break since theres pressure on the roof. Its in the contract but it highlights loose items and such... but realistically, not electrical going out or plumbing leaks based on what ive learned from others and neighbors. I also had my plumbing inspected and redone in September 2024. Now, im not saying they were at fault and that theyre to blame. It could just be my luck that it happened exactly on the day they were up on my roof after living here over a year. Also, very minor but there were trash left around that my inspector found. They were accomodating on making things right although they started to be a little short with me towards the end. I really considered referring them to other friends who needed their roofing done but not sure if my confidence is there if theyll be spending $$$ for an ok experience.

One roofer came out and said we needed a new roof. Two other roofers came out and said they could replace the tiles, and fortunately the previous owners left us a stockpile of tiles so they wouldn't need to order many -- or any -- tiles. Mind you, according to all of these roofers, the tiles we have are top-of-the-line, expensive freaking tiles! When Jim came out, we could tell he was the man for the job. He walked on our roof, but he knew exactly how to step on the roof to not break any of the tiles. He counted all of the broken tiles, assessed the damage, and pointed out other areas that needed some work. He was by far the most detailed roofer to inspect our roof. His solution was to repair the cracked tiles that could be repaired (approx. 25 of them had hairline fractures), and replace the other 25 tiles. We really liked the fact that he could save some of the tiles and could repair them -- so we'd still be left with extras. We decided to go with Jim because we liked his approach and felt his solution was the most beneficial. Thanks again, Jim & Everlast Roofing!

When I called Everlast, they came out immediately for an estimate, which was great timing since I called during a slower season. After reviewing and signing the quote, the work was booked and completed within a week. The team, led by Andy and Jim, was very polite, professional, and safety-conscious. They replaced and painted all the rotting boards, making my house look amazing. The price was fair, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work. I still need more work done on my atrium, and as soon as I save up, I'll be going with Everlast again!

His guys took a week to do my roof where others said they'd get it done in 3 days. I actually went to look at other jobs before hiring a roofer. His guys were careful and did all the repairs we agreed to. I especially liked how they didn't charge a per sqft for deck replacement, it was just included in the price. They also fixed rafter tails as needed and primed them for protection. They came with their own porta potty and didn't pass the cost onto me, just one simple price. What was great is that the one simple price was lower than other crews and used better material. Instead of paper, they used ULD synthetic underlayment. I asked for peel and stick ice and water shield in the valleys, a new cricket for the chimney. I was on site every day up on the roof inspecting and they never seemed annoyed with me looking over things. I asked a lot of questions and pointed out areas I'd like them to focus on or fix an issue (missed nail on a rafter tail, soft deck needing more replacement, uneven deck, etc.). You should always inspect work and not wait until the end when fixes are difficult and be reasonable in your asks. These guys are cool and will help you and want you to be happy, just be respectful and don't wait till the end of the job to give them a list of issues. The only real hiccup was that the shingle model delivered wasn't the model I specified. The brand, color and warranty is the same, but the SRI index was different. Ultimately, we worked out a fair compromise and am satisfied with the result.

From the estimate to the roof replacement completion, they demonstrated that they are responsible and reliable. They do what they say! In October 2024, I got estimates from 4 different roofers, Jeff who is the owner of Always Reliable Roofing came. He climbed the roof, climbed the attic, and in less than 30 min, he found things the other roofers did not find. He demonstrated he is well experienced in assessing the roof and was transparent with us on any issues going into the roof replacement. I know my dad and I have a lot of questions and he was patient to answer them all. We also appreciate that he gave us a price estimate without any of the games that others played. In January 2025, we got the money to move forward with the roof replacement. We met Jeff again to pay the deposit, sign the contract, and select the roof color. Jeff got to work immediately by getting the permit from the city. He let us know there was about a 4 to 6 week wait due to other projects ahead of us and the weather forecast. I appreciate that they only start the roof replacement if the weather is rain free for the projected time period needed. While we waited, we had a concern about a rain storm and whether the old roof would hold. I called them and Jeff's wife, Karyna, was very attentive to my questions and concerns. Jeff came to check the roof for water tightness and he would cover the roof if needed. This was greatly appreciated by my dad and myself because it helped us rest assured that they took care of the roof even before the replacement started. Late Feb 2025, Jeff gave us about half week notice that our roof replacement would start. Our roof replacement took place on Monday to Saturday. The team that worked on the roof were supervised by Jeff's son Justin. It started with removal of the old roof. Then Justin met with the city inspector, which passed. Next the team proceeded to add the new roof. Lastly, there was one more inspection which also passed. The ultimate test, is inevitably when something unplanned happens during construction. During the process, Justin and Jeff continued to answer and questions or concerns we had. We greatly appreciated that they were so responsive throughout the whole process. We were surprised how much wood was left in the attic during the roof removal. They don't clean the attic, but they made sure to clean it enough so that the pipes stand straight through the roof. At the end, we noticed a pipe didn't have a cap, and Jeff added a cap right away. And they let us know right away when they discovered some wood that was damaged and would cost a bit more to get replaced. Justin explained the options to us and I felt we made an informed decision and the additional fee was appropriate based on market price for wood. My dad and I are very happy with the service from this family business. Every step of the way, they demonstrated that they are responsible and reliable. They made us feel important and kept us well informed throughout the whole process. A few words that express our experience: fast yet thorough, straightforward, honest, and definitely reliable. I highly recommend Always Reliable Roofing!!!
