I know this review is 29 years late. One of the reasons we selected this company was their offer of $200 if we agree to put a yard sign advertising their business. After the roof was completed I called the front office inquiring about the $200. Their response was they didn't agree to that. I've thought of that throughout the years but again recently as a family member is looking for a roofing company. Needless to say Musulmán was not recommended. With any wood in question was sent photos through text , estimate was very close to final payment. And was in constant communication. Would highly recommend. Went through 10 estimates before choosing Musulman roofing. They just seemed more attentive, honest, and went with materials we wanted. We did a shingle roof. I called Musulman Roofing in November 2024 for a giant leak in my kitchen. Fred came out quickly and gave me a fair estimate for the roof and a start date for the end of January 2025. As it happened they were able to start sooner on January 6. Yes, that was the day before the high winds that caused so much unfortunate damage to so many people. Fred showed up that Monday and had my roof cleared in an hour and finished my fascia the first day and the new roof was finished by Wednesday, wind and all and I never lost a shingle! I cannot thank Fred enough for the professionalism and efficiency of his guys (who were Awesome!) My wife and I are very pleased we chose Fred for our roofing project. Our new roof looks amazing. Job was done in 3 days - the crew kept everything neat and clean, even during the removal process. Fred kept us informed of each step of the process, and what we should expect. During the estimate process, Fred informed me of Low-E barrier as a way to help keep my house cooler. I'm looking forward to being more comfortable in my house this summer. It didn't add a huge amount to the overall project, and I think it will pay big dividends in lower AC bills. Compared to other estimates we received, I appreciated how detailed and specific it was - other roofers would say things like - we are building in 20% wood replacement cost, where as Fred laid out what it would cost for each different type of replacement per foot, so I could see for myself. Really? Who can make shopping for a new roof relatively painless?? The people at Musulman Roofing for sure. The customer service was top notch. We are talking about a company with decades of experience and expertise in roofing. Fred comes to your house and does a general inspection to assess the job. He is open and upfront about everything from the start. Fred talks the pros and cons of each option and does what he can to give a fair estimate. He lets you know what is recommended and invites you to drop by the office to check out the sample materials. There are more options than I ever could have imagined for a new roof. Different materials, different styles, different colors. While deciding what is best for our needs, staff were available to discuss the materials in great details, the different manufacturers, the guarantee each manufacturer offers and the costs. Being that Musulman Roofing is well known and respected in the East San Gabriel Valley, we were offered different local addresses of houses that had installed the different shingles we were debating. This was helpful as we could see what they looked like on a roof while also looking at the different color house paint that was matched with the shingles (we are also looking at painting our house soon). Despite getting lower estimates, we could not debate the quality of the work and craftsmanship Musulman Roofing is known for. We signed the contract and set the date. Fast forward to the unbearably hot August day that his crew arrived. They were right on time and quickly got to work. Fred Musulman was there too, ensuring everything was up to our expectations. They took off the existing roof quickly and made sure to clean up any debris or stray nails. Musulman made arrangements to have the permits and approvals we needed quickly so they could start work on assembling our new roof. In a blink of an eye, they were replacing rotted wood and covering those gawd awful skylights in the roof that I detest. The following day, his crew were back on the roof installing our beautiful new reflector shingles. Not only did they put the roof on beautifully, they took off some other decorative things we didn't like on the façade and they put stucco to match the house. Of course I need to wait to see how the new roof fairs over the winter rains, but as of now I could not be happier with our new roof. The quality of the work is top notch and it looks amazing. The customer service was above and beyond what anyone would expect. We even received a thank you note in the mail. Alright. Let me write an update. I decided to use Musulman Roofing after all. Fred and his crew were amazing! I'm so happy with how smooth things went. They worked hard from 8am-2pm for 5 days. Fred would text me updates on the work and would check in with me in case I had any concerns. I'm definitely recommending him to friends and family that need roof work done. The only gripe I have is, his crew would leave their personal belongings in our driveway/backyard. Like, their pots/pans, portable stove, and silverware from making their lunch. One left their tool belt, which I guess is fine... I didn't tell Fred about it. Really wasn't a big deal since it isn't anything that had to do with roof work. Anyways, Fred is the man. It was great meeting and chatting with him. He is especially proud of his family and shared stories which I got a kick out of hearing. read more

Set up an appointment with the owner of the company for home roof replacement inspection. He was very rude to me don't know why. I went up on the roof to show him around. I told him if he gonna remove the asbestos pipes on the roof.He said no and kick it. I told him why and he get mad for no reasons and decided to leave, because he's too busy with other customers.He was barely there for 5 mins. Guess he has a short temper. I don't recommend hiring someone with that attitude, especially when it comes to being the owner of the company. read more

Fred and his team did my roof about two years ago. While it was a normal residential tile roof, it wasn't a straight forward job. It required a little bit of creativity to solve some structural issues. Fred was awesome throughout the entire process and offered A/B/C solutions and listened to my feedback throughout. We decided on Musulman Roofing based on the quote and discussing the project with Fred. They did a great job and did their best to leave the property clean. During the middle of the project we had a freak storm with hail, lighting and heavy down pours. It was 11:30 at night and since the roof was not completed i called Fred. His foreman was already on his way to tarp the roof. He heard the rain and got in his car and drove out to our place. That is the type of care and appreciation for the customers you get from Fred and his crew at Musulman Roofing. My neighbor like the roof so much he got his done by Musulman a couple of weeks later. I've called other roofers to get estimates but I wasn't so sure about their quality and dependability. I received estimates that were too high and some that seemed questionable so I asked around for a good roofer. My buddy told me most of his buddies have been using Musulman roofing. A guy came out and was so cocky and rude and basically wouldn't even take me seriously cause I'm a woman. I just asked him a couple of questions on what our options would be and he was literally being a jerk and said " your shopping around right" well obviously,,, doesn't everyone?!?!? This company is terrific! They are extremely professional. In addition, everyone involved is really nice - and that includes all staff and crews, too. I needed my entire roof redone and knew I had found the right company after talking to Ellen and Heather in the office and having Fred come out to talk with me. He brought a booklet with my choices and a listing of homes in the area which had put on the same color roofs. I went out to the showroom to actually look at the shingles. Their estimate was very reasonable - actually lower than some- but what made me decide in their favor was simply their attitude of professionalism and decency. They cleaned up very well each day. Despite having to remove six layers of roofing (apparently in the life of my 104 year old house, no one ever removed anything, just kept slapping on new layers), they finished the entire job in one and a half days. They did several other services for me - removed a partial chimney, added a vent, and shimmed up the porch. They never added to their estimate for any of this and only added a very minimal charge for extra wood. My roof looks wonderful! They made a dreaded experience into a pleasant one for me. Quality, Honesty, and Efficiency. I was leery going into this project with concerns of selecting a contractor that I could trust and be ensured that the job will be completed in a timely manner. After meeting with Fred, he thoroughly walked me through his proposal and invited me to their showroom to allow me to see the different products they have to offer as well as a "step by step" model on their roofing process. One technique that was impressive is they nail each shingle by hand. A method he says, "to ensure quality and proper application." Quality, integrity, old-fashioned respect and courtesy, fair prices. I got two quotes for my roof. Fred was just a little bit higher, but the other contractor didn't include the additional work that Fred was going to do. In the end, the prices would have been the same. I picked Fred. He gave me a detailed quote of all that would be done. I felt good that a man could spell out succinctly what needed to be done rather than "we'll figure it out." My gut instinct told me I could trust him and that he had an eye for quality. I was not mistaken. On the day of construction, it was amazing to see this finely choreographed movement of people. First came the people who would remove the old roof, then the following group for the wood work, then the people who laid the roof, etc. Fred knows how to do this right. My house was completely done in 2 days! The results were outstanding. He kept the specs on the woodwork the same. For example, If the previous fascia boards were 8" by 2", he kept it the same. This is without me even asking, or knowing during the quote process. Also any dry rot was replaced (additional cost). In the end my 45 yr-old tired looking home became new again. Communication with his staff was always pleasurable, and they were always very respectful and prompt. It's hard to find this kind of workmanship in today's business environment. Now you might say well of course their nice because they want your business. Smh (one company came out and seemed very nice but never sent me an estimate , even after I called them afterwards to inquire about it. And there were a couple of other companies that I got offers from but once i called with questions I got an answering service or a call back in several days or some way out answers that didn't make sense or just not so friendly customer service) However, Fred and his team hands down are the most professional, honest, & patient. Finding the right person to do your roof is very stressful. You have alot of questions because of course your spending alot of money.
