Called Rexway Roofing late May for an estimate on my roof, especially my back flat attached room. Dean came out for an estimate for either a new roof or an additional layer, was looking for honesty. Dean came out the very next day and suggested just an additional layer rather than a whole roof tear down. I had gotten other estimates, with or with out permits, but Dean was honest and I figured pulling a permit is the way to go. After getting the estimate, we went over a few things and questioned other things. Dean gave us a price and we accepted. It took a few months to begin, it is the summer and everyone wanting roofing due to the seasonal rains we had this past year. Our job was pushed back to August. Dean called and gave me a date, 2 days maximum. Permit was pulled, he even came the day before the work was to be performed and placed a ladder and a paper for the city clerk to review and sign before work to began. Thursday morning at 7:30 am, bright and early Dean and the crew were there. The big rig to put the shingles on the roof, port a potty and everything needed, Job began. Dean has the men replace some facia boards that were damaged, a few eaves and shiplap that were sun damaged. When the work was done Dean came out and we asked a few questions. He explained the warranty and to send back the warrant card that was pre-filled out by him. The roof pops, looks great.!! Can't say much for the clean up tho, there were nails left in between a few shingles on the roof and strewn in the yard, I have a huge dog and they were everywhere. The old pieces of roofing material in my yard and planters along with plastic stuff. Dean called to come back out that afternoon with a few guys to fix a few things and pick up a few nails. All in all, doing business with Dean/Blake was GREAT!! He is an honest man doing honest work. He even added a few more things with no extra charge. After taking measurements, Blake thoroughly went over next steps with visual portfolio of his company's past worksites. He was prepared with pamphlets, shingle samples, and copies of his roofing license and liability insurance on the spot. I recently had a new roof put on. Rexway Roofing did my roof about 35 years ago so it was time. The first day there were over 20 guys on my roof taking it down. They had everything done including new fascia boards all around and the ply wood on the roof the first day. By the middle of the second day my roof was done!!! The inspector came and signed off and I love my roof. Now, I think my neighbors had the best time watching the guys because I had 4 of my neighbors come to me and tell me they have never seen anything like it. Dean said he was going to come with a full crew on the first day and he meant it. In two days I had a beautiful roof on!!! To show the difference I hired painters to paint the fascia boards and the house. We are going on 3 weeks with the painting. Rexway is great. Blake Martin and his crew are honest + hardworking people and I recommend them for several reasons: 1. He actually works to earn your business. Blake was the only one to inspect the roof and provide a live walk-through of what he was seeing, what the reroof would include and why. He was also the only one to offer to bring over shingle samples for colors before signing a contract. He said the roof had 5-6 years worth of life left, but we decided to move forward because of a solar install. Other roofers (including a GAF master elite) couldn't be bothered to climb the roof, or didn't tell me what they saw. 2. No surprises when it came to costs. The quote included replacement of any rotted wood. No additional charges. All at reasonable prices. 3. No nickel and diming. Blake helped to install rain diverters and a bathroom roof vent, which I forgot to mention before signing the contract, at no additional cost. 4. Fantastic customer service. First, while most of the re-roof went well, I found some issues after they left. Blake responded immediately, and sent out a crew within a couple days to make corrections. Second, when the solar installers made a few mistakes, he had his crew come over to make corrections (including replacing shingles where needed and caulking where the solar guys missed). 5. They are extremely fast. Time to complete the job was almost 30-50% shorter than other proposals, which helped when we had unexpected rain. I never expect any job to go perfectly, so it's always extremely appreciated when contractors are responsive and make sure that their customer is taken of. read more

Rexway Roofing had been conducting spot repairs/leaks at my residence for a few years. The leaks they fixed didn't leak again, such a relief and reassuring feeling during subsequent rain events. I tried to get the most out of the original roof since a complete replacement is expensive. But it finally reached the end of its life (42+ years), and moreover I was tired of calling the insurance company and making repairs (inside and outside of the house) that I finally decided it was time to replace the roof completely. I had received several quotes but ultimately went with Rexway Roofing. Adam Martin (VP of the company) was responsive, straightforward, and didn't try to upsell me which I really appreciated. He provided quotes in a timely manner for different material types requested. Furthermore, because Adam and his company had been so responsive and conducted good work over the years, it was an easy decision. Adam was communicative throughout the process. His crew showed up as promised on the morning of the start date and they completed the roof in three days. Adam stopped by each day to check on the progress of the work and had a foreman/supervisor onsite at all times overseeing the work as well. They explained what the plan was, when the city inspector would show up, presented me the permits they had pulled, and shared the daily progress of the work. On the third day, Adam and I did a walkthrough of the completed work and found a couple items to fix before closeout. This is the part that I believe really makes Rexway Roofing standout in that they were receptive and responsive during the walkthrough and came back on the fourth day to fix the items discussed. It's not easy or pleasant to bring up items during a walkthrough but he made it easy for me and I really appreciated his receptiveness and professionalism. I only yelp when service is extremely bad or extremely good. In this case the service was EXCELLENT!! My neighbor flew a drone into my roof and cracked one of my tiles. I spoke to several roofers. Some didn't want to do a tile roof. Others told me they'd have to replace all the tiles around the cracked one at a significant expense. Adam from Rexway came out and told me $20 and 5 minutes of his time. Not only that, he had the forethought to google my roof before coming out and came prepared with the closest color matches tile that he had on hand. I was expecting a very expensive repair. Thanks to Adam and Rexway Roofing. We are a church in Covina and have a unique roof. We have a steep copper steeple that transitions into rolled composite roofing. We just bought a house that has three different roofs (rooves, how is that spelled?) installed by Rexway. We had a little lifting on the patio cover roofing, no leaks but still we called them. Blake came out this morning and climbed all over the house, looked at all our roofs (rooves, jeeze this is making me NUTS) and found a couple places that needed adhesive on the the patio cover. He reglued it and has promised to come out to recheck next week. I've had people weasel out of warrantees - not Rexway. Blake mentioned the old owner, which was sweet, but treated me like I paid for the roof. To completely remove the old roof, rotting facia and the boards underneath the old roof. Liked his presentation and found out he was about middle of the pack according to price. Called later and asked how much to remove rotting patio cover and was given $1,200. For that. I called again to ask about roofing over the front porch and ask the receptionist please NO calls after 11:00am and sure enough Blake calls while I'm in a meeting and I had to ask if I could call him back and here we go, he won't call me back, I've tried twice and I don't hear from him. So he's angry with me and has decided that I no longer deserve his time. This is a petty and irresponsible attitude. I won't use this company now even though they were my top pick.
