I was referred to Always Reliable Roofing by my friend who had their roof and their parents roof serviced by Always Reliable Roofing. I'm so happy that they lived up to their name. From the estimate to the roof replacement completion, they demonstrated that they are responsible and reliable. They do what they say! In October 2024, I got estimates from 4 different roofers, Jeff who is the owner of Always Reliable Roofing came. He climbed the roof, climbed the attic, and in less than 30 min, he found things the other roofers did not find. He demonstrated he is well experienced in assessing the roof and was transparent with us on any issues going into the roof replacement. I know my dad and I have a lot of questions and he was patient to answer them all. We also appreciate that he gave us a price estimate without any of the games that others played. In January 2025, we got the money to move forward with the roof replacement. We met Jeff again to pay the deposit, sign the contract, and select the roof color. Jeff got to work immediately by getting the permit from the city. He let us know there was about a 4 to 6 week wait due to other projects ahead of us and the weather forecast. I appreciate that they only start the roof replacement if the weather is rain free for the projected time period needed. While we waited, we had a concern about a rain storm and whether the old roof would hold. I called them and Jeff's wife, Karyna, was very attentive to my questions and concerns. Jeff came to check the roof for water tightness and he would cover the roof if needed. This was greatly appreciated by my dad and myself because it helped us rest assured that they took care of the roof even before the replacement started. Late Feb 2025, Jeff gave us about half week notice that our roof replacement would start. Our roof replacement took place on Monday to Saturday. The team that worked on the roof were supervised by Jeff's son Justin. It started with removal of the old roof. Then Justin met with the city inspector, which passed. Next the team proceeded to add the new roof. Lastly, there was one more inspection which also passed. The ultimate test, is inevitably when something unplanned happens during construction. During the process, Justin and Jeff continued to answer and questions or concerns we had. We greatly appreciated that they were so responsive throughout the whole process. We were surprised how much wood was left in the attic during the roof removal. They don't clean the attic, but they made sure to clean it enough so that the pipes stand straight through the roof. At the end, we noticed a pipe didn't have a cap, and Jeff added a cap right away. And they let us know right away when they discovered some wood that was damaged and would cost a bit more to get replaced. Justin explained the options to us and I felt we made an informed decision and the additional fee was appropriate based on market price for wood. My dad and I are very happy with the service from this family business. Every step of the way, they demonstrated that they are responsible and reliable. When Jeff came to look at the roof to provide the quote, he was prompt, very professional and  provided guidance regarding re-roof options.  His price was very competitive.  Once they began the project, they were extremely efficient and finished in two days, with city permit. The crew covered most of the yard, including our pool and constantly cleaned the yard thoroughly the project. (I note that there was debris inside our garage and attic as several new vents were installed. They do not remove debris from the attic.) We used them for our new roof. They had some of the most competitive pricing and were friendly. Knocked off 1 star because although they did let us know they could not guarantee no leaking around our AC unit if we did not change the platform for it, that they would try their best to reinforce the area. After the first rain we had major leak around our AC unit, we weren't home and arrived to my sons room completely soaked. They repeated to us that they warned us, but I feel they could have taken more time reinforcing/sealing that area. We did have another company come out and they agreed regarding platform, but also saw that it could have been sealed better. They came to seal it and it is no longer leaking. read more

I needed a quick inspection of a water leak in my downstairs bathroom ceiling and I noticed Reliable Roofing doing a complete new roofing down my street so I stopped by and asked them about my situation and Justin dropped what he was doing and followed me to my house and got out his ladder and told me my potential issues. He offered to fix them immediately for what I considered a very reasonable amount. He replaced some broken concrete tiles and did some caulking around older exhaust ceiling pipes. Hello everyone, my brother and I have been wanting to have our roof done on our house for a very long time. As, we were both doing our search for a roofer we meet with Jeff the owner in December 2024. Our plans were to have our roof done in February 2025, unfortunately we had a plumbing issue that needed immediate attention. After having several meetings with other roofers on other estimates. I got a brand new roof for a great price. Jeff and his wife are responsive via text and/or email. We got our new roof done which included a detached garage. Price: competitive. Communication: Jeff was extremely responsive, professional, and dependable. Jeff was pleasant to deal with. Jeff & his workers used a leaf blower at the end of each day and kept the workspace clean. Always Reliable replaced our roof in February 2018. Jeff was the only roofer who was honest and not pushy to make a sale. Instead of patching the roof once again, we had it replaced and added ventilation to the roof. It looks beautiful and performs great under the crazy rainfall we have been getting. Jeff was very patient when I had concerns and asked questions about the details of the job. He explained all of the steps before, during, and after the job. Reached out on a Friday afternoon due to a clay tile falling off by my chimney, owner called me back an hour later. Also, a fascia board on the side of the house was weathered and rotting. Jeff Cruz scheduled an inspection at my house quoted me the best price. Went with Always reliable due to the price quoted and reviews on yelp. Jeff on top of everything answering questions immediately by email or text. The crew was fantastic, I decided to add another sheet of underlayment and they removed and reinstalled my tiles in a more accurate fashion as the tiles were not properly installed in the late 1980s. They repaired a few damaged wood pieces and added extra tile pieces at no extra charge. Charged 50 dollars extra on top of the quoted price. The crew kept the work zone clean and they were very respectful at all times. Never tried to upsell or overcharge. Gave me a great warranty and Jeff said, " even beyond that call him, they'll repair it." Fantastic job. read more

Justin helped me with a roof leak that happened over Christmas. Their guys did great work, very thorough and efficient! They finished the job pretty quickly, and took pictures to show me what/where the leak was. They also have a 10 year guarantee on their repairs- that just shows you that they trust their work and will do their best to remedy any roof issues that come up! Jeff wanted $75 to come out for a verbal quote but if you want it in writing itll be $225...that's ridiculous and a RIP off. $225 for him to put it on paper...wow...I know everywhere else charges about $75-90 for an estimate "in writing" this guys a joke First off, I'm not asking for a home inspection. You do roofs so itll be a roof inspection. Stay in your lane. Second, because this is for a client you decide to up the price...that's just bad business practice. You shouldnt care whether they are buying a house or own the house..the odds are still the same whether they decide to go with u or someone else. I had to dig through my records for my roofer after a friend asked me for a recommendation so this review is overdue. Jeff and his crew installed my roof some time ago, since that time CA has had the wettest year in recent memory and absolutely no issues with leaks. These guys aren't the cheapest but the price was fair. My mid-century house had to have plywood installed since what I had was no longer in code. This is an example of pay once and cry once but you really should not skimp on roofing. This goes to materials and contractors. The only glitch was they did not leave enough space for my water heater vent, this was pointed out to me by Gas Company. I called Jeff and he promptly came out to fix the problem. I am well pleased with this company, they are pleasant to work with and very professional. They're also a family business. I highly recommend them. read more

Very impressed with the owner, Jeff. He came out here to evaluate my roof , which I thought needed replacing. Another contractor told me so a couple of years ago. He examined the roof and told me where the potential leaks could be treated with mastic to improve the longevity of the current roof. In the end, he said I did not need a roof for a few years and by doing some easy preventive care I should get many more years out of my roof. Now I call that an honest professional. I have been calling many roofing companies for about 6 months for a tile replacement and none of them would even take my call. ARR contacted me right away and was able to help and replaced 1 broken tile. I needed a roof repair. My fascia was warping and pulling the edge tiles away from the rest of the roof. Jeff was busy and couldn't come out right away to give me an estimate for a couple of weeks. He finally did and described potential causes and his proposed work to pull the roof back, remove and replace the worn wood, and put the old tiles back. He did say the entire roof was old and due for replacement but could still repair it for a very competitive price. Work commenced in another couple of weeks and when his 3 man crew arrived, they were knowledgeable and efficient and completed the work in one afternoon. I was impressed with their workmanship. We used Always Reliable Roofing to redo our old wood shingled roof. Overall experience was good and we would recommend Jeff and his services to others in need. My initial impression with Jeff was great. He was accommodating, on time, and was professional. His bid was reasonable and he was quick on getting the bid over to us. His team was on time to the job site everyday, and they were polite and cleaned up after themselves. We really felt that we got a great value as they were obviously super professional with all the machinery/equipment they brought and judging from their efficiency, they definitely knew what they were doing. Reasons for taking off 1 star: - I was frustrated at times with getting a call back from Jeff as he is the sole owner and is very busy. We had some hiccups in the beginning on job scheduling, where i felt that i had to constantly follow up or there would be no updates at all. This didnt affect how i felt about the value of their work, but definitely was frustrating and i hope that this is something they can work on. - This is the first time my family and I replaced a roof and we really didnt know what to expect. I think it would've gone smoother with more peace of mind if we knew how the entire process would work, like the timeline, the mess/clean up, etc. - We had discussed certain specific issues with our roof/house, that i had to subsequently remind Jeff about. I understand he is busy, but i think better documentation and notes about his clients would be beneficial. If i hadnt brought it up, there wouldve been major issues missed about the project. Overall: I enjoyed working with Jeff. My father is hard to please and he was certainly pleased. My recommendation with anyone that may consider using Jeff is to call him for an estimate, but be aware that you would need to stay on top of the correspondence and follow ups. read more

I did not have work done on my house but wanted to leave a positive review as Justin left a good impression on me. This was such a refreshing visit with the roofing contractor. He said tearing up the roof could be done but recommended a much cheaper solution with elastomeric paint as heat on our flat roof was the main concern. I had originally looked into this and he convinced me it was our best (most cost effective, less obtrusive) bet. Says the roof is in good condition so no need to tear it out! One of his staff showed up to discuss the scope of works but he said that he will come back the next day to measure and give the brochure.
