Great wood fired pizza! Appetizers are perfect for sharing and their Chicken Milanese is out of this world!

Burrata salad was amazing! May even go back again this week for more! Veggie pizza and Umbria pizza was spot on. We LOVE this place. One sad thing. We miss the chop chop salad. Although we understand the limited menu and such due to the times, we do hope it makes a reappearance!!! read more

Service was good, food was pretty good, the ambiance was super weird because they were playing school dance pop music which did not make sense for the restaurant at all my date and I couldn't stop laughing about it. Some of the songs were not even appropriate for a nice restaurant like some were about sex or drugs. Very strange but pretty funny read more

The food and service was wonderful. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were always checking in on us. I loved the different types of food they offer. The manager Carlos was very helpful with our orders. We will be back. read more

The food and service were great. There was something for everyone in our large party. We had omnivores, vegetarians and gluten sensitive folks as well as two little kids. Our server somehow kept things sorted with kindness and a sense of humor. We enjoyed dining outside under the awning. We are sure to return in the future. I loved the beet carpaccio and the seasonal blueberry lemonade cocktail. Our Limoncello cake was so delicious it made up for the sold out cannolis. The wood fired flatbreads were delicious and the specials were well done and great. The kids loved the mac and cheese, the crawfish were lightly breaded and so delicious. read more

Really was great food and exceptional service . Loved the ahi. Owner is extremely friendly and personable

HighBrow is a welcoming, beautiful restaurant with excellent food and the best service for miles (not even joking, our dinner came in 2 minutes). Our waitress was quick and extremely nice. The pizzas here are outstanding (my recommendation is the truffle and mushroom one) and the potato and cheese was great, plus the meal finished nicely with the Milk and Cookies dessert. I would recommend HighBrow to anyone who enjoys a nice high quality meal with a beautifully crafted dessert that is soft to your palate. Seriously, you should try. Again, the staff is actually so kind and helpful. I enjoyed my meal strongly. read more

HighBrow - Milk and Cookies. Would recommend. - Pizza Near Me - Northampton, Massachusetts

We had the meatballs with polenta and red sauce and agreed that it was hands-down, the best meatballs we've ever eaten. I'm take-it-or-leave it on polenta and this polenta was delicious. If I lived in the area, I'd go back weekly just to eat that dish. The pizza was good, too. Nice crust. Interesting toppings. We had one with lemon. The cake was also yummy. My family has rejected every homemade meatball I've ever made. I'm a good cook so that gives you some indication of how discriminating my teens are about their meatballs. When we're next in the area, we will definitely go back. read more

The staff were very friendly and the owner was too and even chatted with us for a while even though he was about to leave for the night. Food was really good and so were the drinks. We'll definitely be back! read more

Service slow and not caring about it. Food just ok. Nothing we got was particularly tasty. Sorry to have such a mediocre experience.

Delicious!! We ordered the short rib pizza, the sausage/broccoli rabe pizza. We also ordered the pappardelle with meatballs. Everything was so good. If we had to pick we would say the sausage and the pappardelle was the best! Service was awesome. All I'm thinking about is when I can come back!! read more

High Brow is our new hot spot! Food was flavorful and fresh with flavor! CONNOR! CONNOR! CONNOR! Hilarious and fun wait staff. Connor rocked the experience and was provided delicious recommendations that made our mouths water before we could finish ordering. Great job! read more

This place is great. We sat in the covered alley, which had great ambiance and the kids loved it. Pizza was excellent. Great specials. Kids pizzas are pretty big (pub size) so 1 would have been more than enough for my younger two to split. Kids menu says gelato comes with their meal but the server said they don't carry it anymore. False advertising? read more

We enjoyed the fried goat cheese and the braised short ribs as appetizers. They were both quite tasty.

This place is so good! We were staying at the hotel north Hampton and able to easily walk there. The specials had an ahi tuna plate and mussels that were to die for. The Umbria pizza is also so so good! The atmosphere is fun and lively and the service was great too. We liked it so much we went two nights in a row instead of trying to find another restaurant we liked! read more

Not a fan of the Mac and cheese - it's not good - greasy and topped with cheez its. I had the Old World pizza which I found to be bland. The meatballs were different with sausage mixed in, it went well the the appetizer with polenta. We liked the goat cheese appetizer and calamari all though the portions were very small for the price. A very expensive meal for pizza and subpar Mac and cheese. read more

Made an impromptu stop here on our way back from VT. Staff was friendly and quick to seat us without a reservation. Great cocktails, decent draught selection and a small but curated menu. Pizza seems to be their heavy hitter, but the fish and chips were particularly good. Would definitely make the trip here again. Shop small! read more

Food was so good! And the staff was so welcoming, especially having to accommodate a walk in party of 6

Originally was drawn in by the pizza on their website. It unfortunately came out severely undercooked. The bottom was completely white and the dough on the inside was gooey. I took one bite and knew right away. They offered dessert and took it off the bill which I greatly appreciated! My heart goes out to the pizza chef, I'm sorry man, but I just couldn't do it. I appreciated the great service however. The arugula salad was excellent along with the seared tuna appetizer. I got the strip steak with a perfect sear on the crust and a delicious side of veggies. All in all, the food besides the pizza was good but did not come near expectations that was built through their website. read more

All I can say is the manager was awesome and took care of the several issues we had. The food is very good as well. That said... do not go until they have more staff. This is an issue with many restaurants post Covid. It was not a good experience. It really made the night unpleasant. The are understaffed and overwhelmed. If you read the negative reviews on Yelp, we had many of the same issues. Don't go until they get it together! read more

Definitely one of the better restaurants left in Northampton. Great service, great food. Had at least 3 different servers ask our group if we were all set while we were waiting for our table, and each one checked on it for us. The tofu wings were to die for, the pizza was fantastic. Wood fired takes it to another level and the char is the best part. read more

Great brick oven pizza. We got the veggie and margarita. So fresh and delicious. Friendly staff and victor was awesome.

Thank you for taking care of some hungry and thirsty travelers. We appreciated you going the extra mile for our late dinner.

Great stop for pizza! Good service and we enjoyed the window table. Pizzas were delicious.

My family and I went here on a Thursday before my wedding weekend and had a blast. Despite the wide variety on the menu (which sometimes can be a red flag at restaurants) everything we ordered was amazing. Special shout out to the wings, ribs, pizzas, and salmon. Casual vibes with great outdoor seating. Highly recommend! read more

The food was soooo good! Delicious pizza! The server PJ was so kind and friendly! Great service! Great food! Great experience! read more

Today was opening day for your restaurant. I was excited to try your wood fed kitchen pizza and i have to say it was absolutely amazing! My server PJ was always around and available if I needed anything. He even came over with a fresh block of cheese and grated it right over my pizza which was so much better then having it in a shaker as so many other restaurants do. There was also another server named Krystal who was very attentive and extremely polite who also made sure that I was not in need of anything and made sure my ice water was consistently full. I highly reccomend this restaurant to anyone who wants a classy and top of the line service with food that is phenomenal. read more

This was a great, great meal. You have to try the Chicken wings and sticky ribs!! To die for. And huge portions. We also had the steak which was cooked perfectly and delish. Our waitress, Katie, was phenomenal - she was the perfect blend of informative, attentive and pleasant. read more

Had reservations but still had to wait 20 mins for our table, which was smushed between a wall and the very busy kitchen / bathroom entrance. The waitstaff was apologetic, but at that rate, I would have preferred to wait another 10 mins for a better table. Our waitress never stopped by to ask us how our food was and didn't refill water promptly, except for when she asked if we wanted anything else or for the check. Food took a very long time to come and was fairly good, but the atmosphere and service killed our anniversary dinner. read more

We were so excited to return to High Brow. We came once before and, although the cellar is not a great vibe, the food was excellent during our first go. This time, however, everything seemed to go wrong. My partner and I were the first seated in our section. But, it was a solid 20 minutes before our drink order was taken. We submitted our meal order at the same time as our drinks to not add to the delay. My partner ordered the Salmon and I ordered the Chicken Parm. We waited and waited as the tables surrounding us all received their food. They were all seated after us. On the way back from serving another person's table , the server turned and said I'm so sorry, we'll have yours right out." After another almost 20 minutes, our dishes were served. My partner said their salmon was great, however the risotto was very undercooked. I had the opposite problem. The pasta that came with my dish was good, but the chicken was so dry and rubbery. I was so disappointed. We had waited so long. The server took my plate and said he's take it off of my bill. He then came back and offered me a free app. I ordered the fried mozzarella. It arrived burnt. I took a bite and thought "what is wrong with this?" Then took another and realized just how dark the breading was. Having only had 2 bites of pasta before my chicken parm was taken away, and two bites of mozzarella, I left still completely hungry. Additionally, in our last 5 minutes in the restaurant, one of the cooks put plastic either in the oven or the fryer setting off the alarm to the restaurant, which was still going off when we left. Overall, whoever was cooking and managing the kitchen this evening was not of the skill level as what we've experienced before. It was very disappointing. read more

Epic food and service. Small but intimate venue and wine list that suits most that love to pair vino with great food.

My wife and I recently had our rehearsal dinner at HighBrow in the spring this past year. The food was amazing and so delicious! Carlos was a pleasure to work with and made sure the menu was exactly how we had requested. During the dinner, the staff was very accommodating for the 40+ guests that had attended. If you are in the Northampton area, do yourself a favor and give HighBrow a try -- it was great! read more

Something about my experience a few days ago didn't sit right with me. The deconstructed Ceasar salad was pretty bad, and the lettuce was somehow burnt and soggy. The Ceasar dressing was watery. On the other hand, the Margherita pizza was quite good: the red sauce was light and fresh, and the mozzarella had a nice flavor. I was surprised when the check was dropped off at the end of dinner. The waiter told me that the restaurant owner would pay her $20 for each five-star review on yelp that mentioned her by name. I'm all for highlighting and rewarding workers for their effort, but this felt like aggrandizement on behalf of the owner. This feeling was heightened by the glamour shots of the owner on the wall, as well as the name of the restaurant itself. The service was friendly, and the waiter had good timing. Of course, I want her to get a bonus. But it pressures the customer to give a five-star review, whether or not it is reflective of their experience. I hope the proprietor starts to focus more on creating a five-star dining experience for customers, rather than trying to superficially inflate his Yelp rating. read more

Came in on a super busy night and cozied up to the bar. Great drink selection, menu selection and bar staff! I wish I could say I had a better food experience but everything was a solid okay. Def felt like the fine details were overlooked since it was so crazy. read more

Overpriced average food.... the pizza is nothing to write home about. Maybe the mixed drinks are worth the trip? Sangria was just ok.

Went here last night for the first time with my group of girlfriends for a nice pre-mother's day treat. Very impressed. Food was excellent, service was attentive and drinks on point. Get the sangria! Will definitely come back with my husband. Glad to see this business thriving in a difficult time. read more

Finally! A reasonably priced "go to" place in downtown Northampton. I've seen this spot go through a bunch of incarnations over the years. Highbrow tops them all by far. Had the chicken with a whole varied assortment of vegetables. Such a great mix of flavors and textures. My pal had a grilled Caesar salad and a solid pizza. Good wine choices. Professional service. Engaging owner. A winner of a place. read more

Fantastic menu in cosy outdoor setting with gentle cooling breeze and wonderful friendly staff and owner. I wanted to give 5 stars, but our party really did not care for the too charred - especially the edges - otherwise yummy pizzas. The appetizers were excellent. Super beer on tap. read more
