And just be aware High end E-bikes are new and nobody has made the perfect one yet or even produced a model with all same components. I came by this place twice, since my first experience was garbage, wanted to give it another shot. Turns out, second time was just as garbage of an experience. Moved here from SF, this place is down the street from my house. I'm used to having a bit of a wait for getting my road bikes tuned up. Totally understandable. Guy basically told me they're not taking any bikes. Weird to be rude about it lol. Second time I came here, asking about some tires for my bike, looking for a specific size, brings me not the size I asked for.I assumed he got me what i asked for since he didn't say anything. Tires weren't packaged. Got home and saw he gave me a different tire size. I drove back and told him he gave me the wrong tire size than I requested. He said it's fine. Because of my height and weight, I use very specific tire size to avoid issues while riding. If you didn't have it, just say that. Clearly the shop wants to sell new bikes, assume customers are morons (selling a lot of cheap bikes at very steep prices), and because they're the only shop in Demonte Ranch can get away with being rude/overpriced/crap to old people. Honestly, I think most people come here since it's the only bike shop nearby. There are much better customer service oriented bike shops in south Reno. Due yourself a favor, find a better shop. read more

Been going to this local "Mom and Pop shop" for years. Had great service at REI for the bike I bought there 17 years ago, but wanted to give the biz to the folks around the corner. Have never regretted. Was thinking it might be time for a new bike, but my recent tune-up and new tires has me falling in love with my old bike all over again. Updating my review from a long time ago! This was an urgent and necessary drop off. My shaker bottle fell out of the water bottle holder and went through my back tire, broke in half, and busted three spokes from my back wheel. So then my bike was definitely not rideable. Good thing my friend was riding with me on his electric bike and could quickly go grab his truck and take me to the only bike shop that was open on a Sunday afternoon. We made it just before closing time. They said they would see about the parts and give me a call when it was ready. After a few days I hadn't heard from them so I called to check on my bike. They said the parts were coming and it should be ready that day or the next. I got a call that it was ready to go by Friday (less than a week since taking it in). I stopped in as I was running by on Saturday to see how much it would be, thinking the damage was really bad and this it would costa pretty penny. Mike and his son were working and we chatted for a bit, they said it was only $33! I was SO HAPPY. I guess the spokes were only $4 each and labor was $20. Not bad, this made my day. I walked there the next day (Sunday) and took the long way home, made it about a 12 mile sunny ride and now I have my bike back riding better than ever. 5 *'s all around. read more

Let's snot forget the arrogance and in ability to listen because the owner would rather try to boast his own knowledge and experience. We came here to rent a road bike for my boyfriend's Mammoth ride and found the staff to be super knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly! The rental process was very smooth and the rental bike came with water bottle cages, saddle bag, and inner tube. I also test rode one of the Liv road bikes they had available, and they seemed happy to help and were not pushy at all. We found the service to be both overpriced and incompetent. See the images showing the simple tube replacement. The angle of the valve is bad and resulted in a slow leak. We were charged $70.00 for this ridiculous excuse for a tube replacement plus a new tire. It would be bad enough if the work was overpriced, but to have it be wrong is really obnoxious. We have the receipt showing the charge which is outrageous. read more

It DOES matter that you get the details right and it DOES matter that you are presenting yourself professionally- business owners and managers are not exempt. I was looking for an e-bike and checked them out. Their Giant line had exactly what I was looking for so I bought one after having a meaningful test ride and discussing it with the owner, Mike. If you buy a bike you get 15% off accessories for 30 days. Also, if I need to change the stem after riding for awhile , that is provided at no cost. I was so impressed with the bike that I brought my wife down for a test ride and she loved it so much we bought a Liv, essentially the same bike, also made by Giant, for her! Over past two years, I've had three flat tires, needed two tune ups, lube and two water containers. ALWAYS friendly staff, easy to purchase, competitive prices and great location. Safe area. Both tune ups were completed in a timely manner and well done. I'm no long distance biker but usually ride 15-25 miles. I hike also. A long time buddy I retired with from decades, he has ridden with the groups from this shop and said similar things...good people. She came away with some great honest information, and when a 2019 popped up online, they didn't hesitate to tell her it was a great deal and pull the trigger! I feel bad that I am not in here more often. Bonnie, Mike, and Tom are some of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I started riding with them about a year ago, and now try to find time for a ride whenever possible. I got my first bicycle here, and have no plans of shopping anywhere else. They take care of my bike when I'm an idiot and mess something up, offer friendly advice on my riding, and are always inviting me out for some miles even when I regrettably can't find the time. Join them for some of their rides; They are usually posted online but if not are written on a white board in the window. If you are new and just thinking about getting into cycling, go talk to them. When I was starting out, they'd let me ride different bikes on the Saturday morning rides to see what fit, what I liked, etc. They'd be more than happy to do the same for you. read more

Oh my gosh these guys are the best. First they answered the phone when I called. Second they actually had a bike I could rent! Third they were open on Sunday afternoon - the only time I had to bike. And most of all they were so kind and helpful. I'm not a very experienced biker and had never ridden the great bike they had for me - when I came back within 5 minutes to ask how the heck the gears worked, they were totally tolerant and sweet. Bonnie was especially great, offering to come and get me if I had any disasters on my ride. What gems!! I will definitely rent from here again next time I am in Reno. read more

I went in a bit ago and discussed some bike options with the owner. He was polite and helpful. However, he said he would take a look at some options and reach back to me. I have not received a call, text, or email regarding anything we discussed. Likewise, I was in the shop for a good amount of time before anyone actually acknowledged my presence. As I said, the owner is a nice enough guy but the assistance in-store and the follow-up were basically non-existent. He tried to up-sell me to a higher end model which I wasn't keen on. Upon further review, I actually agreed with him. But I found the bike in store and another location that was extremely helpful and reached back in a very timely manner. I wish the owner the best and can say I'd like to try again but they certainly lost at least the bike sale. read more

Went in to get my 85 year old mom's trike tuned up. After 20 minutes dealing with three different people to get a quote. They finally said it will be $75 plus parts and it will take two weeks. As we were about to write it up the owner showed up and said he won't take the trike, they were too backed up and they did not have space for it (there was plenty of space). The only other customer there was looking at a new $2,000 bike and everyone was gushing over him. Obviously these people only care about the bike snobs out there that have big $ to throw around. If you want someone who cares about the average rider, this is not the place to go. They did not even offer to help reload the trike in my truck. If they were so busy, why did they have four employees standing around with only two customers? If they are not taking more repairs, why didn't the first three people who were trying to quote me, know this? If you are too busy now, just keep up with your crappy service and snobby attitude, you won't be busy long doing business like that.
