Very friendly wait staff and manager; the hostesses stood there and stared at us when we walked in, didn't greet us - they might need a little more training, or caffeine. Pizza was really good! The bathrooms remind me of a McDonald's in a small town on the way to Texas - they have fancy Dyson dryers, they might want to upgrade the rest of the bathroom. Taking time for lunch on this beautiful Saturday and we decided upon Hideaway Pizza. The staff greeted us immediately and offered us seated at a booth within the bar area. The bartender was also serving the area and did a great job! We perused the menu and wanted to try a variety of items. We chose the X-Treme pizza and were not disappointed. The pizza was cooked with a golden brown crust and toppings to the right crisp. Hideaway Pizza provides a 10% discount if you are active military or a veteran. Wash down your food with a nice icy cold beverage of your choice. Whether you want an adult beverage or not. I've visited this location a few times and have never been disappointed. Our visit to Tulsa called for a family pizza night and Hideaway pizza did not disappoint. There was great comfortable ambiance. Despite the 95 degree weather the restaurant was nice and cool. The decor was very relaxing with a lot of great booths, tables, or bar seats for whatever your seating preference. For food we ordered a hand tossed pizza with a taco pizza on 1/2 and the other half the pepparonipalooza. Both options tasted great! Our 6 year old ordered the pasta with marinara and she was not disappointed. She loved the coloring sheets and the provided crayons to keep her busy. Service was top notch with refills always brought before needed and togo lids for our Hideaway branded cups. Each time the server returned we were greeted with smiles and courteous upbeat service. It's been quite some time since we have eaten at Hideaway. We swung by Sunday afternoon to grab some grub. We were seated quickly and our wait staff came by quickly to get our drink order and ask if we wanted an appetizer. We ordered a half order of their fried mushrooms. They are so much better to eat at the restaurant than to-go. They are so tasty. We ordered the Capone pizza on thin crust. It was delicious and we had leftovers which is always nice. We were in on Friday. Our waitress spilt an ice water all over my wife's grandma and never brought out a replacement. Not a big deal on its own, things happen and the waitress was very nice about it. Fried mushrooms came out and were good like usual until I bit into one completely covered in dirt. Not sure if they are hand washing these before breading and frying or if they come pre made but either way, completely disgusting. And last but not least, take a look at how my pizza came out. No cheese or sauce on an entire portion of it. They are on the expensive side of pizza and you'd expect to get better than papa John's quality with the price being what it is... PS: No offer to comp food or even a manager checking in with us by the way. She was however talking with a guy at the bar almost the entire time we were there. read more

Crazy thing happened today. My husband and I went for a late lunch today, we ordered salads and my husband ordered a beer. The waitress asked my husband for his ID, and mind you he is 70 years . This is just ridiculous and the managers need to keep up with the laws and bills that are being passed. Gov. Stitt passed a law that if you look old enough you do not have to show your ID to get a drink. Managers of restaurants need to keep up with legislation and bills being passed. People will stop coming if they are asked for IDs just to get a beer. Don't think we will be going back to the hideaway on South Memorial again. By the way my husband has ordered beer before here and never was asked for his ID. read more

I've reviewed a good number of Hideaway Pizza locations and this ranks right up there with the others I've been to! Where I've been in several times at THIS location, this is my first time to review. HERE GOES! 1.) When we went in on Sunday night it was fairly slow for a Hideaway. We were greeted and seated promptly and a waiter was soon by to take care of us. At the time of this review COVID was still a thing and you could tell precautions were in place as expected. 2.) The food. ALWAYS killer! My family is a huge fan of the pizza options and love the Oklahoma themed names many of the pies are given. I'd tell you my favorite but I want you to make up your own mind on what to try. I do recommend trying the fried pickles though to start! 3.) The price is on point for what you get. I never feel like I overpaid for what I got. I mean the pizzas are seriously loaded down! 4. This location was clean as to be expected and well kept. Again, with COVID preparations it's easy to see how things are cleaned and regularly. One of the worst experiences Inhave ever had at a restaurant. Our server was struggling to handle our group of 20 while the manager stood in the bar and watched soccer. I went to speak to him about our 2. 1/2 hour experience in which some of the people never even got their food. He couldn't have cared less essentially sat there and listen to me and said yes, sir. On a trip to Oklahoma so relied on Yelp to find food near me. First one was Hideaway Pizza, right by my hotel and seemed good. Ordered a small Pepperonipalooza. Crust was great, pepperonis were all crispy and good, cheese had a good flavor. No issues there! My favorite pizza, which is on the secret menu is called the Chicken Fry Pie. It's a barbecue and tabasco sauce base, with mozzarella, fried chicken, cheddar, bacon, honey mustard swirl, and jalapeños. It's so delicious. The staff is really kind and helpful. They go above and beyond to help customers have an amazing experience. This place is totally family friendly and watching people toss dough is awesome. We stopped it on a Thursday night just before 5pm. The place wasn't busy when we arrived. I ordered a small thin crust cheese pizza, and my friend ordered a Turkey sandwich, plain and dry. Our food was fantastic: the thin crust isn't very thin, but not thick either. The amount of cheese was good, although I was expecting a bit more for an extra cheese pizza. Our drinks stayed full and the waitress check on us several times. About 15 minutes after we arrived, two other tables came in. I definitely wished they would have spread them out, however. In a restaurant with virtually no other customers in the place, why would you sandwich people in on one side only? So, after those tables were seated, our conversation took a nose dive since one table had children and a very boisterous man. All in all, food was good and service was great. Never thought I could get bad service at a Hideaway but I did today. Sure it was at 2 pm when I arrived, there were 4 service people at the front and yep more doing prep work. I watched and waited 15 minutes before I finally yelled out if I could get some service. There were only 2 other patrons there and they had been trying to get their waitress to bring their bill. I mean... Bad. Did his coworkers or manager not notice? He really rushed us to order, both lunch specials, salads a pizza and a pasta. Like the last time I was here in June, our salads didn't come. Cancelled those. My pizza was ok. My friends pasta was dry and stuck to the pan. All of this for $25 with tip, so not an inexpensive lunch! I'd love to love this place, but this was my last try. Ridiculous lack of customer service. We have been a consistent patron and spend $40-50 each time for only 2 pizzas. When we requested 5 of the 2 oz complimentary ranches per pizza - which is literally just water, mayo, and powder- they told us "absolutely" over the phone. I clarified if they were free and they said YES. Upon arriving, they refused to give the ranches without charging us. The manager wouldn't put on their big girl panties and come out to talk to us like an adult. The manager kept sending a sweet high school kid out to do the talking for him. I can't believe they would rather LOSE our business over a few tiny sides of ranch. Ridiculous.
