Some friends took us here, mostly because they love "The Pink Stuff" (garlic salad dressing). While the salad is just iceberg, old school bacon bits, and a couple of slices of pepperoni, I have to say that with "The Pink Stuff" it was quite good. Our servers were very friendly. We did have to call them over a couple of times for drink refills but no biggie. I like the pizza sizes. The Prince is the smallest but you can also order the smaller lunch size (but pay a dinner price) in the evenings. I had the The Garden Supreme mini (Black olives, green pepper, mushrooms, red and white onion, artichoke hearts, roma tomatoes, feta and mozzarella). I really liked it but would have enjoyed a few more tomatoes. It did need a couple of sprinkles of red pepper. Others enjoyed The Hawaiian Jack (Canadian bacon, pineapple, green peppers, mushrooms and pepper jack cheese), and a build your own sausage and pepperoni. Butcher block pizza was good, but cheese pizza and cheese bread were just ok. Decor is dated and service could have been better. Our waitress was also taking phone orders and dealing with pick up orders while it seemed like several other employees were just sitting around. We have always had a fondness for this place, it has been a favorite of ours for a long time. Whenever we find ourselves in the vicinity, we make sure to grab pizza from here. Even though we reside in Owasso, we willingly make the drive just to bring home their delicious pizza. The crust they serve is exceptional! Since my mom has celiac disease, she has to opt for the gluten-free crust. It's so good that whenever we offer to get her pizza from here, she always responds with an enthusiastic "yes". I'm a bit torn, the food was edible... it isn't like it used to be the crust is thinner than it used to be and the amount of cheese used seems to have been cut. If I was only rating it based on food it would probably a 3 star... but unfortunately it has a problem with service. My family had lunch there and aside from bringing use the food after taking out order we never saw our waitress again. Don't be me wrong she didn't get abducted by aliens because we could hear her and some other giggling and talking constantly in the kitchen. But it would have been nice to get a refill instead of having to get up and get it myself, yeah they had a sign that said the soda fountains weren't for customer use... but what are you going to do when the staff hides in the back? Oh and when we left we had to yell for someone to check us out because apparently they were having too much fun with their giggle fest to bother to have anyone up front... did I mention the girl working their with earbuds in? This was our first visit ever to Pizza Shoppe in Bixby OK. We had heard good things from our neighbor so we wanted to try it. I walked in to get our to-go order and the first thing I noticed was how really warm it was in the P.S. Then, when I mentioned it was our first visit, the guy behind the counter said 'oh joy.' We got the Chicken Alfredo King pizza. This is our first visit and got take out. We all agreed that this is the best pizza we've eaten in years! Large amount of mozzarella which had a touch of chardonnay flavor. And a perfect blend of chicken breast, mushrooms and onions with a tasty alfredo sauce gave it an outstanding character. While we live 15-20 minutes away, the pizza was still hot when we got home. We were the major investors and owners of the best Tulsa gourmet pizza place in Tulsa County before a fire lead to its closure a few years ago. I really wanted to like this place, and honestly, I've had worse. We did a call in and pick up, but unfortunately, their website links to their out of state locations and while close, is not completely accurate. The girl I spoke to on the phone was friendly enough, and the pizza was done in a timely manner, and as expected. Honestly, their crust is one that meets my personal preferences quite well. Meaning despite ample toppings, the entire crust stayed nice and crisp! Their unique style of placing the toppings under the crust was a good way to keep our toppings in place, but made it a little harder to tell which half of our pizza was which. To be fair, it isn't their fault we ordered a split pizza, so please take that just as something to keep in mind when ordering, not as a complaint by any means! Their cheesy garlic bread tasted ok, but is nothing to write home about. And their special pink garlic sauce was decent as well. Unfortunately, nothing really just blew me away, but their salad left me wanting. It's a simple iceberg salad with cheese, bacon bits, your choice of dressing, and a couple slices of pepperoni to top it off. The problem I had was finding about 1/2 cup's worth of brown pieces throughout. I picked out the pieces I didn't want, and it was fine otherwise, but that's what is keeping me to a more moderate ranking. Nothing so good I'm planing to go out of my way to get it again, but nothing so bad I'd never give them another try. I don't like any of the pizza places around Tulsa with the exception of NYC pizza. I just moved to Bixby and seen The Pizza Shoppe and thought I would give it a try. The first thing I liked was the cheese was on the top of the pizza. When I was a kid that is how they made pizza back then. By the way, I am 56 years old. It seems cheese on top is no longer the style. The crust was the next thing I noticed... nice crisp and chew. The first pizza I tried, original round top was tasty. I loved the fresh ingredients however, couldn't taste the pizza sauce much. The next day, I couldn't stop thinking about the pizza and had to go back. I ordered another one, the butcher block but this time I ordered it with marinara sauce instead of the pizza sauce. Now I could taste the sauce and it was much better. In the span of 2 weeks, I think I have visited the Pizza Shoppe 5 times lol. In summary about the best pizza around these parts but that is not saying much. read more

The exterior of the building is Modern Spanish Non-descript, but the interior screams 1967. If you are familiar with the West Coast's Round Table pizza chain, so is Pizza Shoppe. There is even a decorative suit of armor in the dining area. Awesome! The dining area is also larger than one would expect from the outside, and there is a HUGE banquet room with coin-op games. This is definitely the kind of place you go with your soccer team for the season-ender. I arrived near closing time, but the staff remained amiable and outgoing until slightly past closing time. In fact, the manager, who waited on my table, and kitchen workers were still chatty as I paid to leave. They certainly placed the customer first here. Pink sauce? The workers' uniforms advertise it; the front counter displays it for sale; and the menu has a nice blurp promoting it as well. Frankly, it tastes like French dressing, but it is a positively non-food grade of industrial, Pepto Bismol pink. My dining companion likened it to strawberry yogurt, but there is no description that would truly encapsulate pink sauce. It is a phenomenon that you just must try. As for the pies, Pizza Shoppe is generous with the cheese. You might consider a smaller pie than you are thinking. The specialty pies are slightly askew of the mainstream chains but not outlandish. They are probably the same combinations the chain has been serving for forty-five years and will continue ad infinitum. It ain't broke, folks. I was slightly disappointed with the garlic cheese bread which really is bread; it is mounds of cheese on slices of toast. I would have preferred more garlic. Mileage may vary. We always enjoyed Pizza Shoppe when we lived in Kansas City, and were thrilled to discover the Bixby, OK location. This location appears to be family-run, and it feels good to support a family-run operation. The staff were tremendously friendly and attentive to all the guests that came through the door. Second, the pizza was a classic Pizza Shoppe offering! We had a large king pizza topped with pork sausage. The pizza was perfectly cooked and they did not skimp on the toppings. I suppose the only disappointment, however slight, would be the cheese bread. It appeared to be Texas toast topped with melted mozarella cheese. It is an appetizer that falls short in satisfaction compared to the top-notch pizza. It can be argued among pizza-goers that the decor is dated. While I would agree, I found it nostalgic and comforting. The decor at the Bixby location is very similar to the Kansas City location I frequented as a kid growing up. Knight's armor, midevel references, arcade games, red carpet, etc. I can just see me and my 5th grade basketball team sitting at a big table pigging out on pizza wearing our nut-hugger basketball shorts. Good times. All in all, a quality product served by a nice, hard-working family. When looking for a casual saturday lunch to satisfy a serious pizza craving, who could ask for more?. read more

I am not what you would call a pizza person, yeah I'll eat a slice if that's what everyone orders but I typically do not go out of my way for pizza, just not my jam. But Pizza Shoppe, well, they are exactly what I always want out of pizza and can only seem to get from them. Thin, crisp crust just the right amount of sauce and loaded with toppings. I don't think I have strayed much once I built my own pizza. I order the same thing every single time - Hamburger, Artichoke, and Black Olive pizza, house salad with the Pink Stuff, and a root beer. Every time. And I have NEVER been let down. My pizza is always fresh and flavorful. The salad, although yes, it is a simple iceberg lettuce salad with cheese, bacon bits, and pepperoni slices, hits the spot while you are waiting for you pizza to cook and when you top it off with their house dressing AKA the Pink Stuff (garlic dressing) it is awesome. I typically buy a bottle to take home so I can make it myself on those days I just can't make it to Bixby. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. I have never had a bad server. Although, primarily staffed by high school age kids, they are well trained and do a better job than I would have at that age. But hands down favorite employee would have to be Michelle. She is fantastic. Always remembers me and my mom when we visit and makes sure we feel welcomed and are taken care of. The decor is straight out of the movies. I grew up watching tv and movies that had pizza joints that looked just like this place and I was ecstatic to find this gem. I grow weary of slick and 'modern' decor. I mean how many times can you see the same type of restaurant put up the same "art" before you want to scream? I enjoy coming here whether it be on shopping trips with my mom or date nights with my husband. If you don't want good food, comfortable atmosphere, friendly service, and throwback decor then Pizza Shoppe is not the place for you. The Pizza Shoppe is a great find for anyone who loves excellent pizza. There is something for everyone as the meat lovers, supreme, pepperoni and vegetarians all have options pleasing to your palates!!! I didn't try them but have heard from friends the salads are equally delicious. Even for the more adventurous, there is a marijuana dispensary next door so you could plan a whole evening without going far.
