Home run pizza
Jim L.

We love our pizza, and we realize there are lots of different types..We haven't been here in close to a decade, but we received a BOGO offer, so we figured we would give them another try. We ordered ahead to take out. We ordered a large home run, with a medium Hawaiian as our BOGO, at a cost of $24. My initial impression...not enough toppings, no where near enough cheese, bland sauce, and soda cracker crust soft in the center and lacking flavor. This opinion was unanimous in our household. With the limited toppings, even with the BOGO, the value just isn't there. I'm sure some folks like this type of pizza. If I'm paying over $20 for a pizza, I expect something special. I expect pepperoni in every bite, mushroom in every bite, sausage in every bite...you get the drift. This fell short of my expectations. We appreciated the BOGO offer and we wish them good luck, it's just not for us.

Medium, thin crust veggie pizza. So fresh and tasty!

Another year, another great meal! We had a coupon for a free pizza with the purchase of a pizza (medium). Today, we purchased a veggie pizza for me and my mom, and a triple play for my dad (of course we all had slices from both). Now, their pizza is fresh. You will wait a little bit, so don't go expecting a quick bite. It takes about 20 minutes to get your pizza when it's not busy. So, that being said, mom was hungry then, so she and I also purchased a small salad to tide us over. Salads are a big thing for us. They came to us ice cold, in chilled bowls, and even chilled forks were provided. The salad ingredients were fresh, and it was clear it was not a bagged mix. There were plenty of dressing choices, and we asked for ours on the side (we don't know if that's normal for them, or if they serve them dressed as normal). I got creamy italian (which is hard to get at any restaurant) and my mom chose thousand island. It was a wonderful start to the meal. When the pizzas arrived, they were PIPING hot and fresh. The crust is thin, and it actually holds itself well. It was cracker crispy, and not soggy, even with the veggie pizza (which normally can make a thin crust wilty with the water content of the veggies put on them). For us, there was PLENTY of cheese without requesting extra cheese. It was stringy and tasted perfect. The veggies on the veggie pizza were fresh. I can't stress it enough...even the tomatoes were firm on the pizza, but not like under ripe. If you love tomatoes, you know what I'm talking about. ;) The triple play pizza had pepperoni, bacon, onion, polish sausage, black olive, and jalapenos. It sounded good on the menu, and was fantastic on the palate. Another plus dining with dad...they had fresh coffee! He will drink soda, but prefers a cup of coffee with his meal, and they did not disappoint. With coupon applied, our total for two medium pizzas, two salads, and 3 beverages was $35.00. That's a great price for the quality of food you get here. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a great pizza that isn't like every chain you see around. IF there was any negative at all, it's the lighting. It is very dimly lit, and has been every time we've gone. Because of that, I have to do the menu reading and ordering, because my parents can't make out things well in print when the lighting is that dim. But, go order a pizza from there, and you will not be sorry!

Dairyland dream
Jason F.

I stopped by here a couple of Saturdays ago with my wife for dinner. We were staying in Sand Springs and I decided to look up pizza places on Yelp and Minuteman Pizza was tops on the list so we decided to call in an order. We were told that it would be around 20 minutes and waited the appropriate amount of time before heading on over. It is located in a shopping center and was a lot larger than I imagined. This probably has to do with the fact that they have dinner shows. Whenever we entered the restaurant it was mostly empty with one half shut down for the evening and the tablecloths on each table were red and checkered. We proceeded to the back where we grabbed our pizza and headed back to our hotel room. The pizza that we had ordered was a large dairyland dream which the menu describes as lots of bubbly mozzarella, provolone and cheddar. Whenever we opened it up the pizza looked as described with golden bubbly cheese every where. Like all pizzas this one can be broken down into its three major components: cheese, crust and sauce. The cheeses as mentioned above were mozzarella, provolone and cheddar and were melted nicely and had a good flavor to them. Meanwhile the sauce was noticeable on the pizza texture wise but not so much on the flavor. Last but certainly not least was the crust of this pizza, which was thin and probably the best part. It had an almost cracker like texture to it which was nice and something different from most pizzas. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My wife and I both enjoyed our pizza and thought that the thin crust was the star of it.

If your visiting SS and want to check out a local staple that's been around for decades then u need to stop in and see Travis The place looks dated but that's what makes it so special to locals. Grab a chair and get u a glass of red creme soda and dive into the menu. Garlic cheese bread is killer as well as the salads are huge and always fresh. The sandwich menu is really good. I have always loved the ham and cheese but another one is the dobberdo & it's also a local favorite. Don't go in though expecting cheap pizza. It's pricy but it's worth it if u want good pizza. One of the things about minuteman that separates its self from others is it's crust. It's almost cracker like. It's a nice change and the sauce he uses is a nice compliment. Trust me u won't be disappointed

Their pizza is outstanding and has been for many years. We are partial to their Home Run, but other option are also good.

5 stars all day! Will be back, only wish they sold beer! Liquor licensing is always way too expensive, maybe more people need to buy beer!

We ordered 2 pizzas, and a salad with sardines and I couldn't believe how flavorful the Caesar salad was. That combined with the sardines was the perfect bite. I loved the music, it had such a great vibe, you can really dress up or down here, it's such a chill place but still has a classy look to it. Crab Rangoon pizza is out of this world

We went on a Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. to try this counterpart to Ava June…read more I have to apologize in advance for the lack of photos to go with this review. Much like Ava June, everything is a little funky here--not in a bad way, just different and unique. We started with cocktails; she had her usual Old Fashioned, but ordered it as a "normal", with Makers Mark, I had a glass of chardonnay (subtotal $28). She put her Makers Mark Old Fashioned near the top of the best in town ($2 extra for Makers??). We frequently split meals, so decided to share a Little Gems salad, which was VERY good. There are only a few salads in town that I like as it's just not my thing, but this one was super tasty. For our pizza we went with the limited edition Cubano as I love a good Cuban sandwich and have a tomato allergy. They did a good job of converting a sandwich to a pizza, though I thought the toppings were a little sparse for $22. I would have preferred that the pickles have been chopped into something smaller than the thick slices it came with (so it LOOKED beautiful). The best part for me is that they offer a fresh-made GLUTEN-FREE rosemary dough!!!! It was absolutely THE BEST gluten-free crust I've ever experienced hands down. My wife said that she would order it even though it's g-f. The vibe was just good, pretty crowded with a mix of generations. The space is fairly small and tight, so be prepared for the possibility of sharing a table. So if you followed the math above (which should be easy if you knew me!) it was $65 plus tax and tip, so $100 for a pizza and salad dinner.... Would I go back?? I wouldn't rule it out given the fantastic gluten-free crust, but would likely consider somewhere else that I consider a better value before beating a path back to Lofi.
