Top That is one of those places that I heard about many years ago and wanted to try, but for some reason it eventually slipped out of my radar. Then, when I was running some errands with my brother the other day we decided to grab lunch. This was nearby and I was reminded that after all this time I still hadn't tried it yet, so we went! It's clean and bright, with red being their main color. Once the staff learned it was our first time there, they were especially nice, welcoming, and helpful. They even let us sample some things before actually adding them onto our pizzas, which I always appreciate a ton!!! Also I loved how when the lady who was putting our pizzas together was helping us, how she was really proud to tell us about the business and what makes it cool. I think that says a lot about a place, when the people working there are proud of it. I loved that they had lots of different options not only for the pizza toppings but for the crust, cheese, and sauce too. I really enjoyed the whole grain crust, and was super happy that they had something like that as an option. It really added a cool texture and flavor to the pizza that I don't think I've ever had before and I'd recommend it to anyone! For the sauce I got the angry red, which was a slightly spicier version of their normal red sauce. I thought it added an appropriate amount of spice for a pizza sauce, though it was still on the milder side of "spicy" overall. I also really appreciated how they had low-fat mozzarella as an option. Basically, Top That is just doing a lot of things right, especially when it comes to a variety of options and good service! My pizza ended up being very tasty and I can't wait to come back to try out some different sauces, toppings, etc... now I just wish I had come her sooner than I did! read more

This pizza was okay. We are from out of town staying at a hotel. We ordered two 10" pizzas at $8.99 each, they were each cut into 6 slices. But we have a family of 4 and we still had to order from Dominos. When ordering the pizza size options are 6" 10" 16", and the 16" was in our minds too big, but the 10" was way too small. The pizza itself was different and tasty, but small and pricey. 2 10" pizzas, delivery, tax, and tip, this order came out to $29! And we still had to order more.... save your money and get dominos, Pizza Hut, or papa John's! read more

The unlimited toppings advertised is false! They did not tell us that if you ask for a small amount more extra of an item, they charge you $3, literally for adding a few extra small pieces of sausage or tidbits of pineapple. They did state that it is unlimited topping to us over the phone and when we walked in, as well as asking us if we had ever been there, which I stated we never had. The $24.99 advertised special went up to $40 extremely fast! They brought out an undercooked pizza to our table and when I asked for a refund on that pizza, they stated that they do not offer refunds!! They offered to re-cook the pizza, although after seeing the undercooked pizza, I lost my appetite. Absolutely a waste of time. Finally after I stated multiple times that I was not okay with undercooked food, they gave me $7 back, not even $3 for the few extra tidbits of pineapple or tax in the refund!!! We could have eaten at a nice sit down restaurant for the price of the tiny, thin pizza that they claim is larger than it appeared to truly be. They then told us they have sign up that states no refunds which is a tiny piece of paper taped up, and also they pointed somewhere about the double portion of a topping, which none of the extra toppings appeared to be doubled at all. Went in today got same pizza I always get but had to pay 10 due to owner sd I had extra cheese .. when someone goes into spending more the owner should advise now that's extra. When we got to the register the pizza plus a can of pop and a cookie came to 33 almost 34 dollars... We went for the first time yesterday. We heard it was similar to blaze. The main thing that struck me is that the whole place is not clean. The table show swish marks like the rag was dirty. She stated she wanted spinach and so I asked if the manager could put spinach on the pizza. He told me no (he had only put cheese and sauce on it at that point). I told her I understood and that it was fine for my mom to not have spinach. She started making our pizzas again and as Another family came in. He put on his gloves, scoot our pizzas that she was making and started making theirs. Not having said another word. As I was checking out, I asked the wife again for clarity on the problem. Asked if they were the owners and she said yes. I attempted to explain to her again that I simply did not want them to waste food and was completely fine with our pizzas being made wrong as long as it meant they did not have to waste food. She then told me I was arguing with them by saying that. I decided a $7 pizza was not worth the disrespect and blatant rudeness and walked out. As I walked out she shouted "shame on you". Sad food had to be wasted when that was what I tried to avoid in the first place. If these are the chain owners, Top That should really consider who they allow to do business under their name. And if these are the owners, this is a very poor way to represent your company. Should be completely shut down if pizza is served with discrimination on the side. We called the company and spoke to the owner apparently and she called my husband a pathetic liar who just wants his money back. Honestly, we weren't even trying to get our money back. I didn't expect to like this place as much as I did. I first ordered through the Yelp delivery app because I couldn't bear having the usual pizza delivery for the 1000th time. It took a bit to arrive, and the pizza was a bit cold, but I could still tell it was good. I next did pickup...still not piping hot and right out of the oven, but good. And I'm pretty sure the owner was who delivered my previous pizza which explained why it might've take awhile. Owning your own business often means wearing multiple hats! I took the hubs there for lunch next and we both agreed: really good pizza! The pizza process is kind of a Subway concept in that you pick all your ingredients: dough, sauce, cheese toppings. They run the pizza through a conveyer oven which gets toppings like pepperoni really nice and crispy, which we both love. And they have white onions!!! I'm not sure where most pizza restaurants got the idea lately that red onions are the only type of onion to serve on pizza BUT YOU'RE WRONG!!!!! I'm OK. Top That also has red onions for you weirdos out there, and carmelized white onions in addition to raw. Whatever they do, the pizza has a great flavor. The crust is thin and fantastic. Today I ordered one of my usual make-your-own pizzas at Top That with toppings of chicken, artichoke, sun-dried tomatoes, as well as several other toppings. My pizza was 1ST CLASS - absolutely outstanding! The owners use only the freshest ingredients and the toppings are very generous in serving size. It was a long and arduous wait for them to reopen following the Tulsa tornado, but the wait was well worth it! If you have never tried this Top That, I highly recommend it! It seems like a great concept. I mean how could you go wrong with fast food pizza. So we walked in and the place was filled with smoke. I'm not sure why but eyes were burning for hours after we left. We went to order and felt like we were being ignored for at least the first 10 minutes there. Finally we ordered a large pizza which is on the menu but they had never made one before. They had no idea how to make one since they didn't have dough that size. Rather than telling us that and just giving us two smaller pizzas for the same price they cobbled together some dough into a larger pizza which after it was "cooked" was still doughy. They didn't have any plates big enough for the large so they cut the pizza and placed it on two separate plates. No big deal, right? Well I was expecting the good old fashioned triangular slices and we got some random assortment of cuts, some triangles, some rectangles, some sort of undefinable polygons. All I can say is that you can get a better quality pizza, cheaper elsewhere. Maybe sometime I'll try out the BA location but I (and I don't say this often about a pizza place) will never go to the Southroads/Promenade Mall location again. read more
