    The Pizza of the gods

Came by and tried the Baked Cheesy Shrums- AMAZING!!!!! Still one our favorite pizza spots in town.

Located "downtown" in Bartlesville, this is a pizza place with some pasta and sandwiches on the menu too. Pizzas can be purchased in small, medium, and large sizes. The small size is perfect for a "personal pan" sized dish and would be a good meal for one hungry person or two people who aren't very hungry. Most of the pizzas were very meat heavy, with a large variety of sausage and bacon. You can also make your own pizza with individual toppings. I had the Margherita pizza, which wasn't bad. I also had the cheesy mushroom appetizer, which was a little greasy, but tasty and decadent just the same. I had a plain mule and a patron margarita. The drinks are average, but happy hour prices are great, super cheap, and worth it. Service was good.

We were in town for a graduation & visiting with family! My father in law recommended Hideaway, he had eaten there in the past. This was my first time here!! The location is amazing, nice corner spot in downtown. The walk from our vehicle, to this location, was very nice with shops on both sides of street. Enjoyable!! Upon arrival, we were seated very quickly. Our waitress greeted us very politely, provided menus & took our drink order. The beverages were brought to us in a Hideaway Pizza branded cup. They were super cool & I was thrilled when at the end of the meal, they bring you a to-go lid to take it home. Huge win! We each ordered something different off of their very creative menu. It took a few minutes to decide, many of the items sounded delicious. There was a Small Pepperonipalooza Pizza, a Bac'n Chick'n Mac'n' Cheese, an Italian Sandwich, & my Small Hand Tossed Da Bomb Pizza. I was really blown away by the flavor this pie encompassed. It had a spectacular, flavorful red sauce, the amount of mozzarella, salami, pepperoni & pineapple was equally distributed. I didn't feel as though any ingredient was shorted, it was impressive. They finished it off with a Parmesan-herb shake, fresh basil & balsamic glaze. I will just say that I nearly ate the entire small, it was the BEST pizza I've probably ever had. Keep doing what your doing Hideaway, if you had a location in Colorado Springs, I'd be a regular!!!

I went to college in Stillwater, so I had the opportunity to go to the OG Hideaway often. Because of this, I wasn't overly impressed with this Oklahoma chain. However, after moving to Bartlesville and then Owasso, my husband and I frequent both our local restaurants. The hideaway ranch is really tough to beat, and their Pollinator Specialty Pizza is fantastic.

    The Wedge!

I ordered a wedge salad and a small margherita with a hand tossed crust. They were both huge portions. The wedge was covered in blue cheese crumbles and 1/3 of a head of lettuce. The pizza was crispy but chewy and not overwhelmed with toppings but the amount of fresh basil was awesome. This is a pizza lovers paradise with so many toppings.

This place is very neat. The building/atmosphere is amazing, the kind of place you'd want to take the family, eat, and just hang out afterwards. On top of that, the pizza is delicious! I got the Sicilian on a gluten free crust with a side salad and it hit the spot!

Just a few examples: Shawarma to Stitzel, and Spring rolls to Bao Buns. Some of her favorite ethnic foods from around the world. A big beef patty with cheese, dressed with L,T,P&O. A side of crispy fries completed the basket. I noticed something different about the burger on the first bite. The tomato. The tomato had an unmistakable home-grown flavor. If you know, you know. I asked. Sure enough, grown in her husband's garden. An excellent burger. Great food, great owner and from looking at the pictures a fun place to spend the evening.

This worried us a little at first. The cocktails were amazing and relatively inexpensive. Nice beer selection too. We started with appetizers and salads and they were excellent. I ordered the fillet for my entrée and it was absolute perfection. One of the best I have ever had, and I'm a big Mahogany/Morton's/Ruth's Chris fan. Service was impeccable (of course we were the only people there). Atmosphere was fantastic with multiple chic booth seating areas that make the dining experience comfortable and private, but also several more open small table options and a beautiful bar. The location and parking is going to be a challenge for them. The Goldies that used to occupy that building experienced similar issues with parking because the lot is terribly designed. There is also a visibility issue because of the way the building is "tucked" under the level of the roadway. Best to park on the North side of the building and avoid the tight angles in front. We will be back, probably frequently, and with friends. It's a great atmosphere with great food and service.

Long and rambling post so be prepared. Remember that a three is OK. While Palace Rooms has glimpses…read moreof greatness, it was just OK when we were there. I'll start with the pluses. The decore and vibe are excellent. It's retro without being kitschy. It's a cool lcoation (downtown B'ville). The fried mushrooms were maybe the best I've head (rivaling by far Hideaway's). My aperol spritz was delicious. The manager was great! We have been to Lollipops a couple of times in Tulsa and are intrigued about the Palace Rooms and the speakeasy and how they were going to fit all of this into the old Goldies. They just opened these two concepts in Tulsa and we figured they would be swamped this weekend so we decided to roadtrip to B'ville. I got the impression from the Tulsa media stories that they recommended reservations so I did that for the Bartlesville Palace Rooms. (It's pretty simple to do on their website.) They do not have a host at the door and there was just a sign that said seat yourself. Since we had a reservation and I didn't want to screw up their system, we checked in with the bartender. "Oh yeah, we've got a couple of reservations. Just grab whatever reserved spot you want." No one ever asked what the name was. We did grab a cozy booth area (couch, a couple of chairs and a coffee table). Great area for having cocktails. Not so much for dining. We sat for a while without service and then went to the bar to order drinks. Bartender said they would be delivered. We literally watched our drinks walk by our table a couple of times before the server checked back in with the bartender to see where they were supposed to go. She then grabbed us menus. That was all. Finally, the manager came by to see if we needed anything. We said we wanted to order an app and she took our order. While I didn't think the wait for the mushrooms was that long, the staff seemed to think it was. Another server came over to let us know it would be about four more minutes. Then the manager delivered our food and apologized. Again, the mushrooms were excellent! We decided that we would go dine elsewhere. It was honestly for a couple of reasons---I didn't want to eat off a coffee table (and we totally could have moved b/c they weren't that busy). And, I really didn't want to spoil the OK-ness of our experience here. (I really want to love this place.) We asked for the check and the manager, still our main server, was really perplexed. She wanted feedback and sat down with us in our booth. She shared a few things on how they were working kinks out. Totally personable and I would revisit just because she took the time to find out what we thought. Final thoughts: great vibe, probably a great cocktail place, menu looked interesting, if you want to dine, grab a table. I feel like if we had sat at the bar we might have stayed. Manager was excellent and is really trying to make this a stellar experience. Honestly, if it had not been for her, we probably would have walked out after our drinks.
