Located "downtown" in Bartlesville, this is a pizza place with some pasta and sandwiches on the menu too. Pizzas can be purchased in small, medium, and large sizes. The small size is perfect for a "personal pan" sized dish and would be a good meal for one hungry person or two people who aren't very hungry. Most of the pizzas were very meat heavy, with a large variety of sausage and bacon. You can also make your own pizza with individual toppings. I had the Margherita pizza, which wasn't bad. I also had the cheesy mushroom appetizer, which was a little greasy, but tasty and decadent just the same. I had a plain mule and a patron margarita. The drinks are average, but happy hour prices are great, super cheap, and worth it. Service was good. read more

Upon arrival, we were seated very quickly. Our waitress greeted us very politely, provided menus & took our drink order. The beverages were brought to us in a Hideaway Pizza branded cup. They were super cool & I was thrilled when at the end of the meal, they bring you a to-go lid to take it home. Huge win! We each ordered something different off of their very creative menu. It took a few minutes to decide, many of the items sounded delicious. There was a Small Pepperonipalooza Pizza, a Bac'n Chick'n Mac'n' Cheese, an Italian Sandwich, & my Small Hand Tossed Da Bomb Pizza. I was really blown away by the flavor this pie encompassed. It had a spectacular, flavorful red sauce, the amount of mozzarella, salami, pepperoni & pineapple was equally distributed. I didn't feel as though any ingredient was shorted, it was impressive. They finished it off with a Parmesan-herb shake, fresh basil & balsamic glaze. I will just say that I nearly ate the entire small, it was the BEST pizza I've probably ever had. It's been awhile since we patronized Hideaway and that's super sad! Life happens and we're downtown sporadically. We finally ordered for lunch yesterday and so glad we did - you not only get a great pizza, the price point is super fair and not much higher than chain stores right now (besides Little Caesars and they absolutely cannot be beaten at 6 bucks a pizza - it's impossible). I got the curbside option and the young man who came out with my order could not have been nicer! However, after moving to Bartlesville and then Owasso, my husband and I frequent both our local restaurants. Hideaway is fantastic. In Owasso or Bartlesville the food is always good. Service is just okay, sometimes you may have a very friendly wait staff, other times they might be rude and seem annoyed. Recently we haven't gone as often because the wait time for food is usually around an hour and we don't usually have time to wait, or our kids are very hungry and struggling to wait. Hideaway doesn't take reservations. We had a group of 20, 9 kids 11 adults. My daughter and I arrived at 4:30, wasn't busy, and spoke with the mgr, Brian. We discussed the size of our group let Brian know it's been 12 yrs since we've all been together for the holidays and we decided to dine at Hideaway, one of our favorite places. It was quite obvious he was not thrilled of the size of our group. He informed us that he doesn't have a server for the back area until 5 and when half of our group arrived he'd seat us. We completely understood the reasoning. Half of our group arrived at 5:20, my son spoke with Brian to let him know 1/2 of the group was here. Brian dismissively said, "I'll seat you when I can. " 6 minutes later the entire group was now there. Brian saw our entire group had arrived. Brian sat 2 groups of 8, 15 minutes after we were all there. We waited another 20 minutes, while Brian continued sitting other groups. We realized Brian had NO intentions to seat us anytime soon. When he definitely could have seated us as there were plenty of seating in the back area at 5:20. My sons walked to the Painted Horse and they would love to accommodate our group. Brian you lost a $500.00 food / bar bill and one of your waitstaff lost a $300 tip. If you have a large group, don't bother going to this restaurant, as they won't seat you. It would have been nice had Brian just been honest and told me at 4:30 when I arrived that they wouldn't be able or interested in serving our group of 20. None of us locals will ever dine there again and we dined here at least 1x a week. Great way to manage Brian, said no one in our group!!! SMH.
