Tiny pieces of fish with tiny burnt up french fries
    Nick D.

I'd like to start out by saying my wife and I have visited this restaurant three times. All three times, we have ordered their catfish dinner. The food is amazing! The fish was really really good and everything else we had there was really good. The third time (5/5/24) was the exception to what I have said, above. The the portions were not correct and the fish was cold... The french fries were tiny overcooked hard pieces about an inch and a half long... Whereas before we had received hot and fresh french fries that were correct length. Received silverware was dirty with food on it. I ordered a soup and when it came out, it had dirty crusted food on the bowl right next to where the soup was located. The drinkware smelled like wet dog and did not seem to be clean. So, I politely asked for a manager, and there was no manager on duty. There was only a team lead (Liz). I asked them to remake the soup and our meals. She said she would and that she would give us 50% off of our meal. She did not apologize. She did not come to check if the items were correct after they were remade. She did not honor the 50% off as she had promised. Overall, she acted like we were being unreasonable... as did other staff members. We were very polite the entire time. We were seated where we could overhear conversations in the kitchen, and there was a loudmouth dark haired server who was sitting at the bar. He said things like: "Hey Liz, there's a fingerprint on this bowl... You better hurry up and get on over there run... Oh, he's taking it to go (soup)... They're just being a A holes (for politely asking for hot food and clean dinnerware)..." Liz chuckled over situation and his words (!) Additionally, the server placed a very hot macaroni and cheese in front of our infant. It was so hot it burnt her own hand. The server did not know the menu and did not know how to write the things down properly on a ticket. She did not come back to check to see if we need refills or how the food tasted. The table was dirty and sticky. Liz was eating in the back kitchen area, over to the right of the line and came out, licking her fingers while walking through the bar area and then went straight over and took somebody's order after doing that and this is before she came over to assist us with the aforementioned remakes. I took the soup to go because I wasn't sure that they didn't spit in it or something after how they were cussing about it and talking about us in the kitchen. I did not end up eating it and, overall, the whole thing was a waste of money and time. There were at least a few people who deserve to be fired due to their unprofessional character and conduct. We will never be back and I will tell everybody that I know this experience was.

Classic Reuben Sandwich without sauerkraut in photo and side of hash browns with customer added ketchup.

Stopped by for our first visit to dine in this afternoon. The service was great as was the food. We were treated with respect and welcomed. We ordered a sandwich with a side of hash browns and sweet tea. The food arrived hot and was very tasty. The sweet tea met our expectations.

Best omelettes in town! Everything at Eggberts is tremendously good! Chicken strips are my second favorite.

On main menu (under age 55) and omelet is 3 eggs instead of 2 eggs for the 55+ and comes with two sides. Sides for breakfast and lunch listed on another page. They listed some breakfast sides, then list went to lunch sides, and I didn't read further. There were more breakfast sides. In the first group of sides are Hash Browns, Grits, and Home Fries at no extra charge. The other choices cost an extra $1.99 to about $4.00. After the lunch sides were listed on the menu, it listed Toast and a few more "free sides". Personally, to me, if the menu reads "with two sides", we shouldn't be charged extra especially when the list of "free sides" is pretty short list. The food was good but turned off by extra billing for most of "sides that come with meal".

The staff is very kind and attentive. No issues with getting seated and ordering our food. I ordered the veggie Benedict with fried potatoes. My husband got the western omelet, hash browns, and biscuit with gravy. The food looked really good, but lacked flavor. There is salt and pepper on the table, we used it, but it was so very bland. That was disappointing. I've got a sensitive stomach, I didn't have any issues. So I guess it would be a great place if you're on a bland diet? We may try the lunch menu, if so I'll update. My only suggestion to the restaurant is add flavor, you'd be a 5 star! You're doing great in all the other areas.

It's a cool, neat place with a bar area in the middle with seating around. We were quickly greeted and our server was prompt. He gave recommendations that definitely helped us on our decision. Wife had the meatloaf, very flavorful, hearty portion of meat served with fresh green beans and mashed potatoes. Definitely a must try. I had the roast beef, mashed potatoes with brown gravy and fresh sautéed green beans. The roast beef was tender, flavorful and the meal was plenty for the price. Highly recommend this plate. We were seated upstairs and I really got the vibe that this restaurant could have been in Taos, Red River, or Crested Butte. It's vintage and retro but elevated a bit (if that makes sense). We ordered immediately and I asked about the Pesto Bowl (which was a special). Was told it used to be on the menu about 6 years ago and they were thinking about bringing it back. It was pesto, pasta and veggies but you could add a protein for no extra cost. I just went with the plain bowl (no protein). The Hubs ordered the Steak Dianne ("A throwback to the 1960s"). Thought that was a cool entree to feature. It came with charred (in a good way) Brussel sprouts and delicious mashed potatoes underneath the steak and mushrooms. My basil bowl was pretty good too. The pesto had a great flavor and the veggies were just cooked perfectly--still crisp and not mushy. Only negative was that there was a lot of liquid in the bottom of my bowl. Again, I would return here.

Glad to see a new choice…read more Caught them not crowded so have it a try. Not going to lie, after I ordered and started looking at the menu I became nervous, realizing the Bartlesville location is the farthest south and that it is a Nebraska chain. Having had some horrific "good" Mexican food in the northern states, my family has a motto of never order Mexican North of Oklahoma. No offense to the northern states. They have specialities too. Anyway, I was almost regretting stopping in. But it worked out. I ordered the fajita tacos (asked for beef and chicken). Luckily both were good. So was the rice and beans. Had the queso. It's white. Which is what I prefer. It was decent. But there is better in town. The queso was a little Spicer than I expected. Not an issue for me. Far from Hot. But you might try it before fixing to very young kids. Salsas we're ok. Nothing spectacular. Overheard someone at another table say the taco they were eating was possibly the best in his life. Can't say I would go that far. But I'll have to try the other meats. Another lamented on the size and quantity of food. Burritos looked huge. All on all I wouldn't go out of my way. A solid 3.5. So rounding to 4. I'll be back to try more things.

I love that the rice is actually done and not hard like a lot of other Mexican restaurants. This is such a huge portion for 10$ I had a lot leftovers for dinner. I also got the raspberry sweet tea which was really good as well. My husband had the #5 enchilada and taco. He said the taco taste and looks homemade and has great flavor. The enchilada is delicious he says along with the refried beans and rice. The meals are a very large portion at a great price. For $10 for a really large portion is not bad at all. The service was pretty fast and the staff was friendly as well. We ordered and then within 5 min our food was at our table. My husband and I are very impressed with the food that was served and will definitely be back again.
