We are in town for a family reunion and wanted to have dinner with the fam. They recommended this place and I'm stoked about writing this review. Since there was a large group of us, they were willing to set us up in the back room. The burger Ingot always super delicious and the scalloped corn is like a corn casserole...tasty! My MIL got a Reuben and that I didn't like...I'm a bit of a Reuben fan and this was not very good in my opinion. But my wife's smoked meatloaf was delicious and we plan on coming back. Look at the pictures. That's right, Tumbleweeds décor is red neck, goat roping, pickup truck and spurs. A great place to have a delicious meal before you go out two-stepping, boot-scooting, buckle-polishing the night away. It is also an excellent place to have lunch. The Akaushi beef in the half pound burger is phenomenal. Flavor unlike any burger you will ever have. Juicy, cooked over a flame to give it a slight char essence, but not hiding the taste of that remarkable beef. No "upscale options" like peanut butter, avocado, bacon jam or some "whatever" fusion. Push the lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion aside. The only condiments this burger needs is a little salt and pepper. Eat it with the bun though, so you won't look like an animal holding the big beef patty in your hand, while you eat it. My wife had a great Lunch sized chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, gravy and a side salad. Tender tasty beef, breaded just right and fried to an even golden brown. First off, it was probably 80+ degrees. We asked our server if the AC was broken and said no but the fans were running. I looked up, they were not. Our server continued to exhibit some dull moments. Once, after ordering the blackened fish, she asked if we wanted the fish fried. "No, blackened". "Did you want it fried?" "No, blackened". 3 times! I ordered medium rare burger. It was medium well. Tasted good, just too cooked for my preference and not what I ordered. Was supposed to be on Texas toast but it was probably toasted about 6 seconds. It was cold and untoasted. Everything thing I have ever ordered from here has been amazing! I have a couple of favorites that are definitely worth mentioning. I'm very picky about meatloaf and you know some just don't measure up ... well not here, their meatloaf is the only one I want and will eat, they're made in muffin tins but not to worry they're huge meatloaf 'muffins' and you get two!!! Instead of ketchup it's a one of a kind smokey bbq glaze (delicious!!) and try their scalloped corn for a side ... WoW ... it's amazing I could make a meal out of it ... yes, just give me the scalloped corn please. Tumble weeds steakhouse. The restaurant is clean and lively. Very nice place. I had the Peach tea which was amazing. Our waitress was amazing. I got the fried cod with scalloped corn & green beans. My hubby got blackened blue cheese burger with fries. For Dessert we got the amazing Pear Bread pudding which was to die for. The portions are so large and the fried cod was absolutely amazing. Man you must get the scalloped corn. It is like a cornbread corn casserole and man was it amazing. Tasted a bite of my husbands burger and man was it's extremely juicy and the white sauce on top tasted so great together. My husband said the burger was absolutely amazing and the best he has ever had. The pear bread pudding was super sweet, rich and amazing. Needed a place near our hotel in (delightfully named) Bartlesville for dinner and chose this restaurant at random. I didn't expect much when we pulled up but we were pleasantly surprised! Service was prompt and polite. Their menu was fairly diverse. We had beef tips with mushrooms and a pulled pork sandwich - both excellent. The BBQ sauce and pork were perfect. Great place to spend some money. OK food but not much of it. My son and I were going to split chicken strips and fries one day for lunch because we weren't too hungry. We got two small strips and about a half handful of fries. Could have Went to Murphy's and got more food & better food for less money. Can't really complain too much about the service. Called in reservations for ten (10) a few days ahead. When we arrived we informed them we were on limited time. They assigned a "new" waiter who was very unfamiliar with the menu and he repeatedly had to come back to the table to clarify. I only finished half of my Reuben, so I was still hungry. Because I'd already eaten half of a sandwich, I didn't want to order another full entree so I just ordered mozzarella sticks. Those were clearly frozen and lackluster to say the least. The sweet tea was amazing! I had 3 helpings. The customer service was subpar as we had to wait 15 minutes for a server to appear anytime we needed something. A group of us were in the area for a conference and we found this place. It is in a small strip mall; I passed by it the first time. The decor is very rustic - almost to the point it needs to be updated. It was clean and still "inviting" The service was ok. Our server was new so he could not answer a lot of our questions but he was extremely friendly as were the other people we met. The food was fine. Two of us had the fried chicken salad. Greens were fresh and chicken was good. They serve their dressing on the side which I appreciate. One of my friends ordered their "signature" appetizer - they were like fried mashed potato balls. She said they were tasty. The portions are generous and again the food was good. I enjoy eating local rather than chain restaurants. I don't think I will be back if in the area, not because of a bad experience but it just wasn't anything memorable. read more

We visit Bartlesville about once a year. This was our first time at Tumbleweeds. First our steaks (my wife got the filet and I got a sirloin) was cooked perfectly. They were pretty busy. Our salads were very good. I got a side of french fries (very, very average) almost like they were frozen out of a bag. My wife had the corn souffle. She loved it. The managers seemed to be checking on a lot of tables which is good. They never came to our table but that was ok. The steaks were worth it. But once I saw their prices, I gave up on that idea. Way over priced for the type of restaurant. I could drive across town to a nicer steak house and paid the same and get a great steak that I could count on versus a lower end steak. My wife ordered the chicken Oscar. It was to have a creamy sauce with shrimp and crab meat over the grilled chicken. The creamy sauce was thicker than a thick gravy and set like a lump on the chicken. There was what looked like small shrimp that would come out a can and no crab meat anywhere. I won't go back.
