Since moving out to Bartlesville, I've found cool places. Hideaway was one of my favorites. The staff is friendly and the pizza was delicious. However, as my fiance was enjoying his slice of pizza, he found a hair intertwined in the cheese. We were so grossed out we had to throw out our entire pizza. I know mistakes happen and I hate to write a bad review, but it's important for the business to be aware of this in order to keep it from happening again. As for us, we will hold off from going to this place for a good while. read more

Saw this on Yelp when planning a trip to Pawhuska, OK. Super neat place. Let me start by saying our waitress couldn't have been nicer and she took super good care of us. We had several other members of Team Hideaway make sure we had everything we needed as well. The manager even stopped by to comp our app because it didn't make it out with our pizza. Great job. Now for the food, tried the fried mushrooms which were coated in something familiar but couldn't quite place it. Maybe pizza dough?!?! They were very good with a very good house ranch. The app we got comp'd were the meatballs in sauce which were outstanding served on a plate of delicious sauce. Main course, hand tossed pepperoni pizza which is what cravings are made of. It seemed like the pepperoni were fried first as they were crispy and flavorful the way it's supposed to be. Great crust with a nice zesty sauce. Loved the place what else can I say. read more

Really enjoyed our meal tonight. Cauliflower crust was spot-on. It wasn't burned or flavorless, so thumbs up! We had the Alfredo one with tomatoes and bacon. Paradise pie I think. Very enjoyable. The kids and their gramma had a build-your-own with just hamburger and black olives. It looked delicious! The boy and his gramma also got the small salads and they really enjoyed them. The fried mushrooms.. well, we got the large and we finished it off in a few minutes. Even the kids enjoyed them! Ended up being wrong $50 for five people with waters. Hideaway Pizza is Consistently Delicious My wife wanted pizza for lunch today. I wanted to go for a drive but, I didn't want to deal with Sunday drivers clogging up the passing lane on the Turnpike and I didn't want eat at some small town crappy pizza dive. It was a great day for a run through Osage County on the back-roads. There is only one pizza restaurant in Oklahoma that I know of, with 17 locations that are consistent in providing the very best pizza in the state. Off to Bartlesville and an excellent late afternoon lunch at Hideaway Pizza! The Hideaway in B'ville is located down town in a nicely restored building. A big roomy restaurant with colorful kites decorating the interior, several TV screens with the current sports and lots of booths for comfortable dining. It has an attractive full service bar for the beverage of your choice. There is easy access ample parking all around. I love Hideaway's Sub sandwiches but, I also love the "Extreme Pizza." My favorite! The last time my wife picked the pizza and we had the "Da Bomb"; a combination of Red Sauce, Mozzarella, Genoa Salami, Pepperoni, Basil, Pineapple, Balsamic Drizzle, and Parmesan Herb Shake. This was her absolute favorite...well maybe, until now? It was my turn to pick so, I did go for the "Extreme" on thin crust. The Extreme is extreme, with Red Sauce, Mozzarella, Canadian Bacon, Genoa Salami, Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Sausage, Black Olives, Green Bell Pepper, Green Olives, Jalapeño, Mushrooms, Red Onion, and Parmesan Herb Shake. What I really like is the moderate use of the red sauce, the fantastic taste of the meats, especially the Italian sausage and the Canadian bacon, the delightfully fresh vegetables and THAT thin crispy, crunchy crust. The pizza is not dripping in grease from the meat! The jalapenos on top are almost toasted in texture when the pizza is done. This stands out and my wife loved them. Hideaway Pizza is some of the best pizza I've had. I would recommend the regular crust. First off get the fried mushrooms, not a mushroom fan, but these are quite tasty. We got the combo of these and mozz sticks, good too. As for the pizza, we got a meatball and pepperoni pizza on the regular crust and it was almost perfection in my tastes. Our group also got a Hawaiian pizza and the Big country, both were good too. The staff here was very courteous and nice. They do have some local beers on tap(good options) and have souvenir cups for people who get sodas. The place had plenty of TV's and seating also. Just moved here from Sedona and have been here several times. The servers are great, the pizza has been very good and the fried mushrooms are outstanding. My only suggestion is to have a garlic butter dip/sauce for the pizza crust to dip in. read more

I'm from Houston but was in town with my mom visiting my grandfather and we decided to go to Hideaway Pizza. It's a favorite of my mothers when she visits for its good food and quality service. When we entered with my elderly grandpa an employee opened the door with a smile, we were warmly welcomed and asked our preference of a booth or a table and we chose a half booth half table which is easier for my grandpa. The feel of the restaurant is nice and rustic, I like it a lot. We ordered or food and drinks at the same time because we already knew what we wanted. My grandpa ordered the fried mushrooms for the table and the Italian sub for himself. My mom and I split a paradise pie and a Caesar salad. Our drinks came in good time and the fried mushrooms as well. The pizza came shortly afterwards with a sandwich and no salad. We asked the waitress for the salad and she apologized and brought it out shortly. We then realized my grandpa was served the wrong sandwich, when we told the waitress she was very apologetic. The manager soon came after very kindly and offered to pay for my salad, the sandwich and said we could keep the mistaken sandwich. He was very nice and apologetic as well and the waitress for his mistake. Overall the food and service was good, I really enjoyed the ambiance and the experience. It took them three times to make the right sandwich. I wanted the Italian sub. When I finally received my sandwich my family was finished. Had to take it Togo. Food is extremely overpriced! Hideaway pizza is a great Italian eatery that will make you want to return every time you get a chance. I am not a local; but I do have family in Bartlesville Oklahoma and every time we come to visit our family, we try to make it to the Hideaway. The atmosphere is inviting, the service is superb, and the food is extraordinary! We start our meal with appetizers; the breaded mushrooms are amazing. Since we are usually there for lunch, we have their pasta paradise and the house salad. The house dressing is wonderful. By the time we finish our meal, dessert is out of the question. As a matter of fact we usually leave with a to-go bag. My husband loves the Dagwood sandwich. He eats it every time we go. It is served with homemade potato chips. I really like their pizza, but extremely disappointed that there is not a delivery option. Hideaway started in Stillwater and main customer base was from deliveries. And although it's very good, it's way over priced for pizza. They still have the 60's and 70's idea that there's no competition and they can charge high prices. read more

My relatives and I had lunch at Hideaway after touring the Price Tower in Bartlesville. We had a really pleasant experience here. We split the Hideaway Special, which features a different topping on each slice. Half of the slices were meats (Canadian bacon, hamburger, pepperoni, polish sausage and Italian sausage) and the other half were veggies (black olives, green bell peppers, mushrooms, red onion and roma tomatoes). I had never seen a pizza presented in this fashion, so the concept was quite unique to me. I also liked the beer selection here. I'm not an Oklahoma native, so I enjoyed sampling a variety of local craft beers from the state. I ordered a flight, consisting of the following: the Elevator Wheat (a Hefeweizen) and the F5 IPA from COOP Ale Works, the Prairie Standard Saison from Prairie Artisan Ales, the Marshall Pub Ale (an APA) from Marshall Brewing and the Amber from Dead Armadillo Craft Brewing. I also tried Hideaway's own german ale called the "Hideaway '57," brewed in-house. Overall, the flight had a well-rounded selection of flavor profiles. Had a waiting list like a professional restaurant, very good on that part, but if I'm waiting 30-45 minutes for a pizza that supposedly the best, I kinda expect it to be the best, not right straight out the oven with burnt crust, so hot you have to wait 10-15 to eat it, to much sauce for a small pizza, everything slides off, so I'm supposed to eat sauce and burnt crust??
