A year ago today we were dining to our hearts content at this Hibachi & Grill Buffet. I wondered what it would be like going again. This place hasn't changed and that is a plus. Four of us got a good table and close to the bountiful of Chinese and Japanese and Mongolian and all American pleasurable tastes. Our server Michelle was busy but always ready to remove our plates. My starter is always that great hot and sour soup. Add some broccoli and green beans and ribs and shrimp and chicken and you got a plateful. Everyone goes to get their favorites like crablegs and several offerings of fresh fish. Even a more stringent vegan diet was able to fill plates of vegetables and fruits and "green" salad dishes to satisfy. More Chinese fare? No problem with long Chow Mein noodles and more chicken selections such as great scoops of the Orange Chicken. Fruit is always good and who doesn't like the usual peaches and cantaloupe and even puddings and sweet jello. There is always room for an almond cookie and self serve chocolate and vanilla icecream. We had water for drinks but it probably should have been a bubbly soda to help with all the great eats we had. Hibachi & Grill was to our liking as we know what's really good and picked our selections carefully. We would definitely come back when we are in the Lake Lanier area. read more

Been here before and the Outlaws seem to like it so we came back. I got a few items on the first pass, some decent sushi (for a buffet and mostly non-raw fish but a few raw items), some spicy jalapeño chicken, crab salad, orange something. Second pass I went for the hibachi and that was pretty darn good! Fresh veggies, some noodles (or there is rice noodles or rice), an egg and some large shrimp and cut up beef. They were out of the chicken but I didn't want it anyway. 3 sauces to pick from , I got Mongolian BBQ, along with how you want your meat and how you want your egg. While standing there I was asked if I wanted it spicy and I got some extra chili peppers added. While waiting for it to cook I caught the servers bringing out this pan that has crab legs, crawfish, corn and potatoes and got to grab a few crab clusters. Those normally go right off so I felt lucky. It's all coated in what I think is butter so it's messy to pick and clean but so tasty! Ice cream freezer was totally picked over with nothing so we didn't bother with dessert. Went to the bathroom to wash my hands after the messy crab and it was like a bomb went off in there. If those things bother you, maybe not your kind of place. I got everything I wanted. Not super cheap - looked like almost $20 a person with tax. read more

Came for take-out lunch the other day. It's a big place with lots of selections in different sections, also busy, with lots of customers, many obviously regulars. Clams with some kind of gel, veg rice had no flavor, chicken and beef over cooked to the point I wouldn't give it to my dog, mozzarella sticks under cooked, no labeling on the buffet itself for food id, seems like everything is frozen & not fresh. All during our meal, a woman kept snatching plates off our table, even when I was obviously using one as an empty crab leg plate. Then she came up behind me, snatched up my soup bowl and sat it in the middle of my plate of food that I was still eating. I said, "Excuse me, I'm not through with that." Then she started pestering me to get up out of my seat because more people were coming in! I'm 69 yrs old, just paid over $60 to feed 3 people, and I picked up my tea cup to finish it, when the waitress shouted, "Give me back my cup!" I said, "I'm not stealing it! Went on Father's Day expected it to be busy but on the contrary it was not.when we got thire around 3ish thire was no food left on the platers. Service was HORRIBLE!!! The server we had kept ignoring us the whole time we were thire.forced us to pay through her instead of up front like everyone else was doing. We went low on our drink many many times and many times we asked her to please refill. Like I said it wasn't busy. It came to the point were we had to ask other servers to give us refills and take our plates.once we got up to pay she had yelled and demanded a tip from my daughter.shes us 15.the server also fallowed us to the counter and was watching me insert my card and type my pin. Been coming recently and this place got a lot better. Has plenty of choices to eat and some really good seafood options. The fried crab and the mussels are my favorite! The price is reasonable and the service is quick and straightforward. Sometimes you have to ask for refills but they will make sure you get it. read more

I asked a local for their opinion and it was recommended so we decided to give it a shot. AWEFUL! I took my kid to the bathroon and slipped and fell because there was NO wetfloor sign anywhere and the floor was soaking wet! Apparently they use bleach because the bottom of my pants were WHITE after falling. The food was cold, stale, dry, burnt! We each only had 1 plate and left! They never brought the bill to the table so we walked up to leave, heading toward the hostess stand to inquire about where to pay, and literally 2 servers came running after us as if we were going to dine and dash. 23-10-31 20:07 I give 1 star due to bum rush service. Upon getting a 2nd plate the person on the bill named Ping approached me, handed me the bill and stated "You pay me now." I asked her to repeat that as I could not believe my ears. She repeated it, then I asked "You want me to pay, right now?" She said "Yes, now." Now please remember I had just sat down w/a 2nd plate and barely had a moment to dig in and was comfronted w/a bill. She had no idea I was planning on getting a to go box for the next days lunch. That would have been an upsell for them. It was a slow night yet the food was being put out fresh and there was nothing wrong w/anything we ate. My wife thought maybe she was clocking out for the night. I thought that might have been the reason. No, even after I paid and included her tip of course she sat in her corner watching us. She was there when we finally left. I felt a bit uncomfortable seeing her looking at us anytime I looked up. Quite the spectacle. I think maybe she was a manager and did not want me to be a food hog. As a young man I could put away a good amount of food but not now-too old for that. I also noted that she did not take my card to the cashier, she instead took it around that corner she was sitting in and seemed to ring me up there. Maybe they do it that way w/2 registers I do not know BUT I'll be keeping an eye out on my card for awhile to be sure it did not get swiped behind that corner. I normally pay at the cashier but as I stated I was still at the table when I was told "Pay me now". I have been coming here on occasion for over 15 years and have never been approached like that. I found it offensive. Like my 60 year old ass could get a good run going nowadays. It would be a funny video if I could make it out the door and run around the parking lot. For future referance to everyone here: DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOUR READY TO LEAVE. Don't forget to tip, these people have bills to pay too ya know. 01/10/2020 I almost gave up on this place bout 6 months ago - gave em another last chance and how lucky I was to have come in that night AND 2 days ago. Just had to see if it was a fluke ya know? This is a great buffet, the food is fresh and really yummy. The sushi is bomb , the best ! The service is nice too, the employees are very sweet and kind . Went in for a quick lunch on 4th of July, I visit here normally 1 or 2 times a week for lunch and it $10.50 plus drink. Got my bill today and it was $16.99 I asked the waitress when did they go up on there prices as it's still posted $10.50 on there board when you walk in. See said today is a holiday and we are charging more. Are you kidding me more for a holiday with the same food. Asked to speak with management and was told they are not there. Sorry you have lost a regular over this craziness I have never heard of not posting special prices or telling your customer that there is a difference price today before they eat. And who and your right mind charges more for a holiday your business practices are backwards. I am not a local I am in town for a family emergency. I don't believe this location deserves the crazy bad reviews. Service is odd but efficient. Huge selection of desserts, fruit, main dishes ,meats, I missed out on using the hibachi can believe I forgot. So we came at the end of lunch so I started seeing for dinner only signs. I was confused at first but asked and was clear you can eat the dinner only thing but pay dinner Price. Seriously cheap to eat here. Where I live most buffets are $10-$12 for lunch. This was a steak of a deal. Most of what I had was great. There was a few things that I didn't like however that wasn't because of it being gross just something I wasn't fond of. I understand this could be a hit or miss but for my visit I was super happy with the food. The shrimp soup was to spicy for me but I loved the shrimp. read more

Stay away. This place adds a tip to your bill automatically, so they don't care about the service. We had eleven people in our group and they charged us for an extra drink. When we asked for it to be corrected, the waitress started yelling at us and told us that we had to pay for it. We went to talk to the manager and he was even worse. The bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned all year and had no paper towels. I hate to think that the people preparing the food are using that restroom. After seating us, the server proceeded to give us our water which we waited patiently because we are a big group. But when we told her that we all wanted separate checks because there was 37 of us and we obviously weren't going to pay together. She kept shaking her head and her and the server kept talking. Obviously they were talking about us. I personally feel like this server did not deserve our 10% gratuity that was added to our checks and their prices for dinner was ridiculous. For $10.00 at another buffet I could've gotten better service. If they were not so rude towards the end, we would've tipped more regardless of how much gratuity was already added but because of their rudeness and the way they were looking at us made me feel so unwelcome. Honestly worst experience of my life. I've never had such a rude waitress!! As we were going to pay after getting no service to our table the waitress yoyo had the audacity to ask for a tip before we even finished filling and signing our receipt. When I went to get change all she did was hover over me and as soon as I give her the tip she snatched it out of my hand. It takes a man to admit he is wrong. My first two trips here were excellent. Subsequent trips have me agreeing with most other reviewers. This place is the definition of inconsistent. Although the last few visits have been more consistent, I must admit. Consistently bad! Thus, I am downgrading to two stars and will not be back for a long while. I been here a couple of times, I been here when they were still called Sydney's buffet-Back then the food was terrible, I'm glad they got new owners and switch the atmosphere around. The food was okay, they're mostly Chinese workers so the Chinese food was very good. The American style food were okay, it was greasy, flavor less and wasn't so enjoyable. Wow can't believe people were giving this place a four star. All I can say is In high school this was my jam I love to eat a lot and the food seemed good. But I only eat at places now that can get a half decent health score. My last visit here the score was a C. Not my style. I went in skeptical but had seen some good a d bad reviews. I went to the Gainesville, Ga location on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed! For $11.99 there was a huge assortment of food to choose from. All of the options were filled constantly and looked fresh. I tried as many things as my belly could take and enjoyed 90% of them. I never expect buffet food to be the best in the world. Thd waitress was extremely attentive and cleared our table and brought us drink refills regularly.
