We really like this buffet. The 4 of us never have issues finding something we really like. There are quite a mix of items and this time the star of the show for 3 of us was the fried catfish. It was really good. All of us enjoy the soup and the fact that 2 people REALLY like wonton soup which is not that common for some reason. I think the sushi is good for being on a buffet. I have had the hibachi in the past and it was good. My one ding on this trip was most items weren't that hot. We went for an early dinner and it seemed that the stuff was left over from lunch. EXCEPT they did eventually being more fried catfish and that was smokin'! read more

Super Golden Buffet - Sushi Bars Near Me - Lawrenceville, Georgia

If you love seafood, you have to check out Super Golden Buffet. They've got a huge variety of foods like sushi, hibachi, all the usual Chinese buffet favorites, but the seafood is what really makes it for me. I load up on the crab legs, crawfish, and shrimp every time I go. The crab legs are always hot and tasty, the crawfish are seasoned well, and the shrimp is cooked perfectly in a bunch of different styles. It's honestly the best part of the whole buffet. The sushi is fresh, and the hibachi grill is a nice touch where you can get your food made how you like it. Everything's clean, the food is constantly restocked, and the staff is friendly and quick to clear plates. Super Golden Buffet is one of those spots you go to when you're really hungry and want a little bit of everything especially seafood. Definitely worth the trip!

I ordered grubhub twice, Christmas rolls keeps coming as a deep fried california roll so I will no longer be doing that. Sauces are never included that I ask for. I don't eat at buffets often but was in the area and happened to catch their lunch special for $14.99. The food bars were very clean, which I love for a buffet! The service was fast and they were nice. As for the food, it was pretty good, I'd come again if I were in the area. Can't beat that price for all that food! read more

maybe I'm a little spoiled cause my expectations on food is up there, but I just wasn't really impressed by the quality. They had a huge selection which was amazing but nothing I ate really stood out. The servers were attentive and that's a plus. and the price wasn't too high. I just don't know if I will be giving this another try. read more

This place was recommended to me by a friend so I had to try it out. To start out, the food was pretty good for a buffet and they had a decent selection of food options. The waiters never let my cup of unsweetened ice tea get low. The decor was typical Chinese buffet. Overall, it was a good experience and a great price. I totally recommend this place!! read more

Had a great meal here and really loved the hibachi, so you get fresh, hot food off the grill. Had 2 giant plates. Plenty to choose from at the regular buffet. But they have a crab dish they bring out every few minutes, and a couple of people stand there waiting with tongs and literally grab all of the crab. Or all of the crayfish. All of it. No shame. They need to regulate it in some way. A place I've been to would give each person X pieces until it's gone. At least like 10 people can have 3 crab legs or something, instead of 2 people with 15. I finally got some by waiting with the tongs and politely took 5 pieces to share at my table of 12. Gotta have at least a taste before we left. All in all, great price for the quality of food. read more

Giving it 5 stars because ist the best value, clean, great service and good food. This is not gourmet dining, so keep thay in mind, but off all the buffets I've visited, this is one of the better ones. We came on a Sunday at 1:30pm. It was full. But the staff kept it moving. I would say this is the best time to come, food is fresh, hot and being g replenished every minute. Lot's of seafood but tons of options for all tastes. read more

Stays packed. Great food selection, great service, great price, top notch choice for lunch or dinner.

We came on a Saturday night around 4:30 pm and it was already packed and by the time we left there was a huge line. The place is smaller than I imagined. The floors felt greasy like I could slip at any time. We got a table right next to the buffet by the crabs, big mistake. Be prepared to get bumped and people waiting right next to our table. It was so cramped and we kept bumping the table behind us. The tables were so close together. The service was really great though. The food was really good, prob some of the best I've had for a buffet especially at that price. The hibachi was great, good sushi selection, and all the prepared food was really good, fresh and hot. The dessert selection was average. Overall I love the food but probably won't make the 30 minute drive back due to the crowds. read more

First time visiting! I will start with the good staff was great attentive smiles no complaints. The grilled chicken the soup was good hot and seasoned. The potatoes were a bit dry but good they needed more peppers in them. Standard seating and it was clean inside. Lemon pepper wings were decent. The hibachi and sushi were good according to my daughter. The bad or room for improvement: a lot of the food wasn't hot enough. Check your plate because it could have left over food on the plate from them cleaning too fast or dishwasher not getting off the food! As more people arrived the food turned over faster therefore the temp got better. The crab legs went fast so just like any place if you want them you have to stand there ( daughter ate these) and w also didn't see crab kracker out but of course you have have to ask or hand crack them. Seasoning was consistent on the food. The fried rice was dry and terrible. The mozzarella sticks were horrible but it's a Chinese restaurant so I didn't expect much. I would go back but not my first choice. The Hibachi on Pike street is still the best as far as food. The service not so much. It's worth a try when it's busy. I went on a Friday around 5:30 by 6:15 the food was hotter. read more

1st time here even though it's been around 5 years! It is extremely clean and bright inside even the restrooms. We were greeted with a smile and I told them 2 seniors which I thought would get us a small discount (like Golden Apple) well we went on a Friday night with whole crabs, crawfish, fried crabs, and a crab boil along with ALL the other seafood like fried shrimp, salt n pepper shrimp, chili shrimp, baked fish, fried fish that was delicious. So I was very surprised when the check came and it was $39.98 or 19.99 each!Oh and they had squids, plus the normal chinese foods like sesame chicken, teriyaki chicken, Mongolian beef, ribs, noodles, rice etc etc. The best thing is their fruit actually tastes like FRUIT! Most Chinese buffets that I've been to if you close your eyes you can't tell watermelon from honeydew or cantaloupe! They even have passion fruit. All that plus pho and hibachi made fresh to order. Can't forget the sushi and the 3 flavor ice cream machine. Everything was very good and we most definitely will be going back in the near future! read more

Went last weekend with my partner, just looking for a place to eat that had variety since we both didn't know what we wanted. This place was just that! We got there about 20 mins after they opened on a Saturday. Decent crowd, tons of food choices. Love that they offer a lot of fruit options! As well as desserts. The waiters were nice and kept things clean. And someone was consistently checking buffet to ensure enough was stocked. Would recommend. For two adults with one drink and one water we paid $60 this including tip. It was a bit more than expected but for the quality of food we enjoyed and would go back! read more

Super golden buffet is located on Riverside Parkway in Lawrenceville, where the old Golden Corral use to be. They were VERY busy that night but luckily my brother made reservations for 20. When we arrived our table was ready and we sat down right away. There was a huge selection of dishes to choose from. It was kinda crowded which helped the food stay fresh because they kept getting filled. (Don't forget to use the hand sanitizers!) The customer service lacked a bit and could use some work. I'm normally not a fan of Chinese Buffets but since my dad LOVES it, I decided to take my parents here to try lol. Tbh, I was pleasantly surprised bc for the dinner price of $18.49, the food quality is pretty good, fresh & our waitress was attentive as well. I opted for the blue crabs, mixed cajun boil, shrimp & steak. My personal favs were the green beans, mushroom, blue crabs, salt & pepper shrimp. The steak was tender as well but lacking flavor. However, they don't have steamed snow crab leg, only on holidays. OMG... def need a few stomachs since they have variety of options including sushi & seafood hibachi bar as well. The restaurant is spacious so plenty of parking outside. Didn't get to try the hibachi station today so def will be back, maybe in a month lol read more

I highly recommend avoiding this place. Not only was the service nonexistent, but the manager was also openly rude. The buffet was poorly managed--food was dried up, and they made us wait forever for crab legs, which were tiny and gone in seconds. To top it off, they stopped refilling food at 9:30 PM for 'cleanup' despite being open later. Truly unacceptable!!! All the food is great. Crab legs were awesome, there's always a raid to get them as soon as they come out, but worth it! Sushi selection is great and always plentiful. The service was also very good, very fast. It's always nice and clean as well, and pretty. Love this place! The blue jello does taste like grape medicine, though. Still 5 stars!! read more

I honestly wrestled with giving this place a higher review. I could have easily given them 4 or 5 stars and wouldn't feel like I embellished. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. The items are quite voluminous to choose from. There is always a space where you and your family can have your own intimate setting even when they are busy. The ONLY knock I have is that, depending on the time you visit this restaurant, the quality of food may suffer. I was heading into the city one day and stopped by soon after it opened. It seems like the food items had been warmed up instead of being cooked fresh. Another time I went later in the evening. Though they were a couple of hours from closing, the items were very slowed with being replenished. Still, I have gone on a weekend and everything was excellent. I'm conclusion, the service, prices, and environment is very appetizing. However, I would be remiss if I didn't point out that the quality of food can range from excellent to mid depending on the time of day you are there. I know buffets are uniquely operated in keeping food ready to serve. Nonetheless, there should not be, that much, of a drop off. When it's good, it's great! When it's not, you'll be disappointed! read more

After reading all the reviews, I had to come try this place out. This place is located in the old Golden Coral off Riverside Pkwy. I came on a Sunday evening and it was super busy. The parking lot was crowded but still plenty of room to park. We were seated right away. Wow, this place was bumping. It's $16.99 for adults on Sat/Sundays. The food was super fresh as they kept refilling the food as it got lower and there was a huge variety. I actually was impressed with the Hibachi here as the flavor was very nice and this is the worst hibachi that there were actually decent sized shrimp with heads on still. The crawfish and fried crab were just amazing. They were super big and fresh and tasty. I really enjoyed the Cajun crawfish broil with the shrimp, potatoes, corn, and mussels. The flavor was very good. This place reminded me of Chow Thyme with a larger selection and fresher food. It was also a lot more crowded here. The sushi bar wasn't bad and was decently fresh. I really like the clans and mussels here. Even the sesame chicken was super tasty when it's hot and fresh. The fruits in the dessert bar wasn't bad and watermelon was very sweet. I had the ice cream from the machine and it was okay. Wish it was soft serve chocolate like back in the sweet tomatoes days. Waitress service was excellent as they were super fast in cleaning the tables and refill. They were also super friendly so definitely tip them well as they were busting their ass off. I highly recommend this place if yiur wanting to hit up a low budget Chinese buffet with a decent amount of fresh seafood. I definitely will be back again! read more

Currently our go to buffet for unlimited seafood and sushi! About a year old the establishment is located in a used to be Golden Coral. Still new and clean. Customer service is great. Hostests are always friendly and kind as well as wait staff. Sometimes a little language barrier but never without a smile. Food is always hot, fresh, and refilled in a timely manner. Crab legs do run out quickly but that's more so because of the people already waiting as soon as a fresh batch comes. My husband and a son are big seafoodies so they're always able to get there satisfaction here without us having to spend hundreds. Fruit bar is amazing. A few times we've been they had pink dragon fruit, which had me shook, starfruit, papaya, and other tropical fruits. Desert bar is also very nice. Not only does it have the typical Chinese buffet cakes but also pies and ACTUAL cheesecakes. The location, service, price, and variety is one to beat for local buffets. read more

This restaurant is the old Golden Corral off I316 at Riverside. Clean, a lot of different choices that all were fresh at 2:30 pm on a Thursday. Friendly folks as well & plenty of TIP cups around for you to help the staff out. I don't mind that. Pretty good crowd, so good sign there! They have a hibachi grill where you choose your meats & veggies & they grill it up fresh. I didn't try that this time, but want to come back for it. Sushi is mediocre! All crab salad 'rolls' if different shapes! 2 choices for fresh sushi/nigiri, but they are SO SMALL & cut SO THIN it isn't worth it. Soups, salads, fried fish, rangoon, fries, etc. steamed broccoli, octopus salad (cold) was great!!! They have soups too; wonton, egg drop & hot/sour!! Seems I didn't eat much, but what I did have was good which was steak & veggies (steak tough, but good flavor), I had calamari which was like chewing a leather shoe & some other random items. Desserts looked great, but I didn't eat any- we are watching out carbs!! I am going again to try more & that hibachi looks fresh!! I didn't take but 1 pic of sushi. Will definitely take more next time. Both meals, 1 w/hot tea & other with water was around $32 + tip. They have to-go as well for (if I remember) $5.99 per lb. See ya there!!!! read more

This place has good clientele and the restaurant is rather clean. All the food is definitely not scratched made by any means. Its a buffet, you can only expect so much. Stay away from the sushi and any fish for that matter. If you decide to conquer the sushi bar, there is an Immediate care within walking distance. The shushi is not fresh by any means; dry rice, fishy taste, and discoloration in the ingredients. read more

If I could give this buffet zero stars, I would. Every item I sampled was not fresh. The general chicken, ice cream, cake, and a variety of fruits, etc. were spoiled and ironically displayed for purchase. The bathroom should have been out of service. The toilet handles were broken on multiple toilets, and two were filled with feces and period blood. The only functional bathroom fixture was the sink. Save your money! read more

For less than $20 per adult, this Buffet place is phenomenal. From hot hibachi, sushi, fried food, steamed fish, crawfish boil, pastry desserts, to even tropical fruits, this place has it all. Upon entry, me and my party of 4 were seated very quickly even during rush hour. The servers are professional, kind and knowledgeable. We were asked about our drink choices and we were set to eat! Although they charge around $4-7 per person for drinks other than water, the waitresses are all extremely attentive. They keep a keen eye on your drinks and they're always there if you need any refills or any plates taken away. Let's talk about their food! My personal favorites from this establishment were their [Steamed Salmon], [Boiled Crawfish], [Stir-fried Green Beans], [Fresh Shrimp Sushi], [Diced Papaya Fruit] and their seasonal (?) [Pumpkin Ice Cream Cups]. Overall, this place has excellent quality of food, service and prices. I will definitely come back more often! read more

The food variety was nice. Quality was okay. There were two nice distinctions: the sushi and hibachi areas. There was also a nice ice cream selection. So with these last few factors, my 3.5 review is rounding up. For a $14.99 dinner on a Thursday evening, the food spread was pretty good. Quality wasn't anything super amazing but decent for a buffet. There were four choices of soup, three to four fish dishes, a whole two rows of fried items, and the like. The sushi quality was okay. Some of the pieces were more fresh than others, but I don't expect anything to be fresh fresh at the end of the day and on a week night. There were about a dozen or so varieties of sushi to choose from so that was pleasant. There wasn't a huge crowd right around dinner time but a decent coming and going of people. Perhaps it's due to the Omicron variant? There were gloves readily available at the buffet area, hand sanitizers around, and the staff were gloved and masked up. Some customers wore masks and some did not. read more

My first time to Super Golden I was really impressed and have been wanting to come back again since then. The food was really good and they had a great selection. It was very crowded though and the tables and seats were really close together. I found it hard to move around or sit comfortably and eat especially with a party with babies and kids. But, the food was good and made it worth coming back for another visit! Months later, I came back, and it seems the quality of food has gone downhill. They still offer a good selection of food, but most of the things I tried were unimpressive. I found the food was either too overly salted or too bland. I found myself only eating the same few things until I got food. The fried food section (French fries, chicken nuggets, wings, etc) was very over cooked and burnt. They were very hard and hard to bite into. I got a plate of those for my son to eat and he couldn't eat any of it. The ice cream was melty and they decreased their selection of ice cream from the last time I came, which was disappointing. No toppings for their soft serve either. But, still grateful that they have a selection of ice cream to choose from. I will say that their sushi is better than I would expect from an AYCE Chinese buffet. I ate a couple pieces of nigiri, and I was satisfied. For AYCE, I'm glad they didn't overstuff their sushi with rice and gave a fair portion of protein. I'm hoping that my return here just was on a bad/slow night and that the quality of food didn't drastically dip this much because I did look forward to eating here and enjoy AYCE buffets from time to time. Also, for the price of $17.99, Super Golden is a fantastic dinner spot when you're wanting to eat a variety of Chinese food. read more
