I was looking at reviews, and to be honest, I never would've considered another Ichibon Buffet after some of the failures around the Beaufort area and other areas that go by the name. But thanks to yelp the reviews kept saying this was different so me in a buddy of mine went for lunch recently to try it out. Not a huge place, but nicely decorated and clean the Buffay to the left head three or four different rows, starting with your proteins, then to your vegetables and desserts. Sushi was in the back as were the sushi chefs making it. I pretty much walked down every aisle and sampled some thing of everything so I could get a good feel on the quality of the food. I'm also a sushi nut, so technically, I never eat sushi at a Chinese buffet, but this look fresh and the spicy tuna actually looked like spicy tuna... And it was quite good and fresh. They even had Hot sauce bar with my Sriracha ready for me as I don't use soy sauce on sushi if it's any good. The Buffet stayed full , service was spot on, I have to admit I kept eating and had to stop before I over ate. I was really impressed especially defined it in Winder, which I struggle to find a place I can call home. So if you're looking for Chinese, don't be like me and wait because of the name, this is the real deal very tasty, highly recommend !! read more

It really pains me to write a below average review for this restaurant that I have enjoyed so much in the past but I owe it to others to be truthful. We stopped in on a Saturday about 6:30 in the evening and there were very few people eating at that time which we found to be unusual. Basically the buffet items looked picked over and employees seemed not inclined to place additional food out for patrons. The food was not hot and the chicken wings were cold. The photos tell the story. The people in Winder must not know what good food tastes like. Just gave this place another shot (11:30am) and would have rather ate the trash at McDonalds than what they serve here. I tried 6 different varieties of chicken and even got som Hibachi and EVERY THING is overcooked. Does anyone know how to cook chicken in that place?? So my husband hates buffets but honestly this one is so good. You can request sushi rolls, they have tons of seafood options including crab legs and for dinner they offer really great ribs. When we go here the food is great, fresh and plentiful. We actually eat here quite a bit and have always had a great meal! We have gotten to know the owners and the staff and they are always humble pleasant and know our kids by name. The ambiance is good too if you go to a buffet to look around instead of eating. Personally I love that the food is hot and delicious. If you compare pricing, with the coupon it is a fair deal. Even without a coupon it is a great deal considering the sushi is top notch! You're typical MSG filled Chinese Food buffet. Has your Sauce covered chicken (sesame chicken, general tso, sweet and sour) which are my favorite and go to in buffet style dine ins. I was looking for Chinese Buffet and Yelp showed me this one. Drove past a Golden Corral, but stayed the course. I'm glad I did. The food was very fresh and snappy. Plenty of seafood options and traditional Chinese Buffet staples. Broccoli and chicken, beef and broccoli, coconut shrimp, seafood delight etc... You know , I just realized there were no Chinese green beans. Oh well. It all was delicious clean and staff was happy and friendly. Not very common at Chinese Buffet.
