My favorite Chinese place by a mile. The food is absolutely delicious, including the best Mongolian beef I've ever had and excellent General Tso's Chicken. The food is generally affordable, especially the dinner special which is only 11 dollars. The hostess/server is kind and the service is always efficient. The more recent changes to the dining room make it feel nice and like a restaurant that you want to sit down in, although most of their orders seem to be takeout/delivery so the dining room is usually empty. This is our second time ordering. Our first time was OK. However I purchased a more than $90 order and purchased sugar biscuits. I get home and there was no sugar. The manager stated that he would manage the staff and watch orders and asked if that was acceptable. When I said no, I would like a refund, he stated that I would have to drive back and bring them to exchange or refund. I explained that I have 3 kids, we just got home and are sitting to dinner, I cannot drive back across town for sugar biscuits. Then he offered an order of vegetable spring rolls at my next order. The food is absolutely amazing every time I order. Everyone is always so polite and nice. I've never had a rude employee serve me there. It's very dark and small inside but it's cute in its own little way. There are multiple tables for dine in but I usually do delivery or pick up. This was bad. I love Chinese takeout but this was just bad. Cornstarch is the main ingredient in most of the dishes. Crab Rangoon ($5.50): I think there were 6 in the order. The filling inside was slightly green. It didn't taste spoiled but it didn't look right. The sweet and sour sauce was so think it resembled jello. Actually, it was thicker than jello. Thank you, cornstarch. The orange chicken ($9.25) tasted ok but the sauce was extremely thick, like rubber cement thick. The sugar snap peas beef ($10.25) was made with snow peas and a medley of other veggies (mushrooms, nappa cabbage, bamboo, carrots) and everything was over cooked. The snow peas were mushy and the beef was heavily coated in cornstarch. The brown sauce was a bit lacking in flavor. House fried rice($9.25): the rice consisted of shrimp, chicken and beef. The beef was well seasoned before being added to the rice. The rice itself could use more salt or soy sauce. Shrimp mei fun ($9.25): the noodles were well cooked and this was probably the highlight of the meal. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Tonight the family had Eggdrop soup, coconut chicken soup, Beef with Broccoli and Mongolian beef. Egg drop tasted a little watered down but it was still pretty good. The coconut chicken soup was quite good tho. Usually places use too much lemon grass but this was quite mild and creamy. The chicken was perfectly velveted, too. Same for the beef and broccoli and Mongolian beef, perfectly velveted beef and great flavor in the sauce. Egg rolls and spring rolls were also pretty good, standard good tho, nothing amazing but pretty much what you'd expect. They also tossed in like, 7 bags of deep fried egg noodles. I was really hoping this place would be good but when your Mongolian beef taste sweet instead of tasting peppery there's a problem. Super good Chinese food at great prices. They offer lunch and dinner specials which just about include everything on the menu (some seafood is not in the specials).
