For the price point you cant be mad. As long as I have known of the establishment and lived in the area I've always wanted to try out King Buffet. My favorite spot being closed for the day I took the leap and went for it. Granted the place looks super uninviting and sketch but those type of places are usually the greatest surprise. Unfortunately, IMO King Buffet is not one of those places. We didn't eat in and experience the buffet, we ordered to-go. They have lunch specials and daily specials that are very affordable. Starting at 5.99 for daily and 7.99 for lunch. We ordered a few dishes of each. Long story short, ordering online was easy, packaging is typical, staff was friendly, food could have been better. I really wanted to give them benefit of doubt though everything was pretty lacking. All stir fried proteins were over processed and breaded. Portions were generous though leftovers were inedible. Because of the breading and processing of the proteins everything was slimy the next day.. Glad to have finally try out Kind Buffet but once was enough for us. read more

King Buffet, for the price point on the food, it's rather cheap, even cheaper if you dine in on Wednesdays. They are always ready to work the moment you step into the door or order over the phone, they haven't failed my order once and even prepared hot and fresh food when I said I was coming. i have spent close to 200 dollars in this resterant and the food was ok. last night i ordered shirmps and fries and they were so over cooked i throw the food in the garbage. i messaged them that iam and 76 year old senior and i would appreciate if they could send me a new order or refund my 6.95. i had to email them 6 times to get a responce saying they would need the food back (lol) i will never buy from that resterant again. why are they still in business. its a shame they dont care about the customers. why are they still open? read more

The food isn't bad but don't get the steak or pork the chicken is where it's at and please don't get the egg drop soup but you get what u paid for honest I think the best item is the fried chicken and broccoli but don't get the meat with it. And the only problem I have is that they don't have enough portions for lots of people so you have to wait until they make more to eat. The bathrooms are also scary and very creepy looking. Building is a little dated and small but the food is tasty, especially with how low prices are! Service was fantastic, we really enjoyed it!

I ordered roast pork with vegetables, but what I got was not meat. It was some form of gelatinous globs coated in flour and fried, but I promise you it wasn't meat. Never again. I threw most of it away. I picked out the broccoli and mushrooms and ate those but everything else was gross. So sad bc they are right in my neighborhood and if it had been good, I would go back a couple times a week. Think I'll stick with Mexican. read more

Stopped in hear on way to motel. For the price 8.00 it was a good deal and filled my belly. As far as good Chinese Buffets not so much. Atmosphere is dismal. I usually go to another Chinese buffet in town for lunch, but they are closed on Wednesdays so I decided to give this place a shot. The place looked a little run down from the outside, but the $4.99 lunch sign in the window got my attention. When I walked in, I was waited on by a child no more than 10 years old. There was also another child maybe a few years older (approx. 13-14) running the cash register. I thought that was odd. The selection of food is small, but it was mostly fresh. The pepper steak, chicken salad, egg drop soup, and sesame chicken were all good. The fruit and desserts appeared fresh. Not really a huge fan of the beef dumplings though and the noodles tasted something awful. Also, most of the food isn't labeled so you have to do a little guesswork. It's definitely not a modern or fancy hibachi style buffet, but it's a halfway decent place to go if you want a quick, cheap lunch. Cheap being the key word here. If it wasn't for the price, this would easily be a 1 or 2 star rating. P.S. If you want a really good Chinese buffet, I highly recommend Golden House in Duluth. It's a bit of a drive, but definitely worth trying if you're in that area. read more

I understand the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on large and small businesses alike. We are sympathetic and empathetic for the plight of all those who have suffered devastating losses however ;we as consumers expect those who are reopening to at a minimum serve food that is edible. Tonight the King Buffet in Winder, Georgia has failed to meet the bare minimum and served us food that was none edible. The fried wings they served was something out of a horror movie. It was black and dark brown with feathers. Furthermore; the chicken fried rice was equally confusing and intolerable.we honestly could not distinguish whether the chicken in the rice was actually chicken. The most disturbing part of the entire process was the complaint. We called the restaurant to discuss a possible refund or remedy for the appalling "food?" They stated "if any of the food was eaten a refund was not possible and the blame should be placed on the manufacture. They passed the buck to the chicken plant instead of accepting responsibility for serving us slop. We will not frequent this establishment ever again and to all future patrons, before exiting their property and lobby, remove the staples and PLEASE!! check it before you serve it to your family. The payoff and reward will be worth the few seconds it takes to ensure your food is safe and edible. read more

I haven't eaten here for about a year or two, but before Hibachi opened, my siblings and I would come here once in awhile. I always wanted to come for the egg-drop soup. An absolute favorite that I crave when I enter any Chinese buffet. I will admit, though, that when I was there to eat during those times, the selection wasn't very much. I like to try new foods, or have a variety to pick from. Even then, the food wasn't "oh my gosh I /must/ come back for more!" It was a simple, "Meh. I've had better." Would only come back if Hibachi closes down, I'm so sorry. The restaurant is family-owned, so there aren't many workers. One time I let the kid play Kingdom Hearts on my Nintendo DS. He's a very bright child. (and 'cause I'm very well known with anime, I remembered there was a colored picture of Goku on the wall. Brought tears to my heart.) They're nice and not very rude. I could only find one review on this place and it was not from Yelp. So I heard that you could try this joint on a Tuesday night for just $3.99. Even with that price, we decided that we needed to take a look at the buffet before sitting down and/or paying for it. Let me tell you....that was indeed a GREAT decision. When we first arrived there were a decent amount of cars in the parking lot, which can often be a good sign. We walk in and the first thing we notice is a child (aged 10 or 11) is running the front counter. Ok, so I understand other countries may not have child labor laws, but this is still America folks. Anyhow, the child was basically ready to ring us up or at least get us seated and get the check process going, but we told him we would rather take that look before we commit. We walk by the buffet, and let me tell you, it was quite the sight. First of all, there was hardly any food on the buffet. 80% of the pans were empty and the ones that had food were gross. An immediate example would be a pan of mac and cheese. Now understand that I am not exaggerating in the slightest when I tell you that this had been sitting out for at least 6 hours. It was dry as a bone, had burn marks over it from being over the boiling water or whatever they use to preserve heat for the past 6 hours. I guarantee you would have made anyone sick who was willing to try it (which is also the reason that it was a nearly full pan of mac and cheese that had not been touched at all during the dinner shift....we were there at around 5:45 pm). I forgot to check their health department score, but I was amazed this place was even allowed to be open at all. I would strongly encourage the health department to check this joint out immediately. To sum up my review, had they said that they would actually pay us $3.99 per person to stay and eat, I still would have declined. I really hate giving out one star reviews unless someone has mistreated me or someone in my family, but this place gives me no other choice. Thumbs way, way down on this place. read more

First off, the place itself is in rough shape which you will notice quickly upon entering, especially if you venture into the bathroom. At $4.99 the price is good. The food is your standard Chinese buffet fare though I wasn't overly thrilled with any of it. I thought the egg rolls and sesame chicken were good, but I could have passed on everything else. The service was fine though being a buffet it isn't like you need much service. My water was refilled quickly when it was empty. All in all though, I won't be going back. I didn't feel like cooking so me and my husband decided to stop and here for dinner. We were greeted and sat by children. No adult was in sight. We both made plates and sat down and started eating when my husband noticed something black and long in the potatos!! He pulled it out and i tried to pull it apart and it looked like a shoe string or an apron string!!! It had clearly been cooked into the food. We were disgusted!! I put the string in the napkin and took it to the counter and told the child that i found this in our food and since we were not there for even 5 minutes that we were leaving and would not be back!! The child was very rude and told us to take a time-out and proceeded to get his mother. She was trying to tell us that they were not dirty and it was a string bean!! Im not stupid, you could clearly tell that whatever it was, it was not edible!! Ive told a couple people about this incident and they have told me when they went here that there were things floating around their drinks as if they dont clean the drink nozzles!! And some one told me that they even saw a roach in the food on the buffet bar!! And it was alive!! I will be calling the health department after this incident. The Buffett is 3.99 on Tuesday and they keep the food rolled over pretty good on that day. I have ordered takeout and delivery from there aswell and it's great. It is a family owned restaurant so yes there are kids working the front because the wife and husband do the cooking and delivering. I really like there snow shrimp, there lo mein, and there chicken wings. The only negative is on days that are not Tuesday the food on the buffett can be old, so if I have a craving on another day I pick it up or get it delivered within a 10 mile radius. The menu prices are reasonable and competitive. There website is pretty cool too you can do a whole delivery or pickup order through it the same way you would at a pizza chain. read more

Just don't eat here. Seriously. I came without my glasses on, big mistake. ALL of the food was old and disgusting. I kept trying to eat, because I paid ahead of time and I didn't want to waste my money but it was not happening. This is the WORST food I have ever had. I asked somebody for a refund, and that turned into five of their workers standing around me screaming at me and my family, getting in our faces, the manager was about to fight my brother. I went on a Tuesday because they have their buffet for $3.99. The only bad thing I have to say is that the atmosphere isn't the best - definitely a hole in the wall. The food, though, was amazing.
