I called Unify on Wednesday and had an appointment scheduled for next day to install a Nest camera outdoor. I had an idea where I wanted the camera, but when Patrick W. showed up he suggested another location - not in direct sunlight, pointing in a different direction to capture more points of entry to my home, and no exposed cables. Wow! You can do that? He responded, "that's what we're here for." In the end, I got an outdoor Nest cam adjacent to our garage, with cables hidden in the walls, and cables running on the inside of my garage for continuous power. The camera looks great outside, and delivers terrific viewing angle. Patrick showed me a few tips and tricks on my Nest mobile app, and even suggested if I were to get another outdoor camera, where he would place it. Unify Smart Home, what a find!!! My husband and I never imagined that we would be able to have found a team of professionals like this. It started with my husband contacting Darrin at Unify requesting information on the products they could provide. Darrin came out to the house to go over the products he works with, Google, Amazon, Apple, Sonos, and Lutron. The products from these companies can be operated from our cell phone which controls everything including the thermostat, security cameras, smart doorbell, locks, garage door opener, speakers, smart T.V.'s and power shades. We definitely did not want to experience another high tech home that we would not be able to work by ourselves. After everything was installed we had our initial orientation while it was a bit overwhelming Darrin and Alicia were there to teach us the proper language to voice command our new equipment. One week later we're feeling like pros as we sit back and enjoy our entire home automation system. Now if we could only have Google, Siri or Alexa make dinner on command we would be living large! I had a number of issues setting up my home entertainment system. Darren was expert is setting everything up quickly and perfectly. Also an installer from the Cable Company was previously not able to set up multi room cable and told me I had to purchase some 3rd party hardware to do that. Darren debunked that in 5 minutes and set it up right away. I am able to return the hardware for a refund. Wow! So impressed with Unify! We were interested in security cameras around the house. We called them because of their reputation.
