My wife and I have been trying to be smart with our money, as there are so many costs associated with buying a home, both expected and unexpected. During the home buying process, I bought both security cameras and a 70 inch TV when they went on sale. My wife and I wanted to have cameras on our home for improved comfort/safety, and I wanted a big TV :) Once we bought the house and started slowly moving in, I knew we were going to have to find a company or someone to help mount the TV and help install the security cameras (the cameras needed to be mounted and the cables needed to be ran through the attic). To be honest, I contacted quite a few people on Yelp (if you're reading this review, you've probably already looked at the same people/companies I did). I contacted Camilo one time on a work break while going through yelp, but to be honest I wasn't serious about him because he basically had no reviews. I try to avoid doing business if there's no trustworthy or reliable reviews. I contacted Camilo and kind of forgot about him, as I was communicating with other individuals and getting in-person quotes. My wife and I were kind of put off from the other quotes that we had: weird vibes (people being a little too nosey while walking around our home), not professional/too pushy, only willing to install THEIR cameras, or the quotes were way too high. Camilo actually followed up with me - about my initial phone call. I was free one weekend, so I said "sure" to him coming out for a quote. He came out and was very respectful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the work to be done. He also gave us one of the best values, as well. My wife and I were pretty hesitant to use him though, since he had no noteworthy reviews aside from one regarding a ring doorbell installation (they said he did a good job, but it's a job that I could have done myself. I wanted to know about a TV mount and cameras!). I asked Camilo regarding this, and basically he's been very busy supporting his family and kids (he has a newborn) with other work. As a result, he's been sidetracked from developing his online profile/yelp/etc. He was able to provide me the personal contact number of another client he serviced (camera installation). I contacted the gentlemen, and he gave a glowing review of Camilo. I was kind of skeptical that the guy might have been a family member or friend or something (you never know!) - but he provided pictures of the work, and it satisfied me enough. My wife and I decided to take somewhat of a leap of faith and go with Camilo. We understand how busy life can be, especially when you have a family and are trying to support them (from our own experiences), so the lack of reviews was something that we decided that we were okay with. I told Camilo we wanted to move forward, so we set up a day (this last Monday). Camilo always kept me updated with texts: regarding the mount to be used for the TV, information regarding my cameras, and addressing any other concerns I had (which HDMI cables I should buy, etc). He arrived on time, and he quickly got to work. I probably followed him around too much, but he was always extremely friendly, professional, and hard working - despite me probably hovering too much. I felt like I was talking to a friend while I watched him work. He gave me a lot of great tips on places to shop and where I can find good deals/bargains in the area (since I'm new to Menifee/Murrieta/Temecula/Etc). Throughout the process, he always informed me of what he was about to do, and he always asked me for feedback on options for the work (ex. how I wanted cameras placed). He offered suggestions and recommendations, but always respected my opinion, thoughts, and wants. There was a point in time during the TV mounting that I asked him why he didn't take a shortcut on something that I noticed, but he answered that he'd prefer to take his time to "do it right", given his knowledge of safety/fire code. I was actually really grateful for this, that he wasn't trying to just rush things and cut corners (I wouldn't have known any better if he had). I love the way the TV mount came out, and I love the cameras. My wife and I feel like we got very lucky, considering the value and person that we got improving our home. We moved into our home about a year ago and wanted to get security cameras. We've had them before and feel a bit better having them. The guy that put them in our last house seemed kind of shady and not professional whatsoever. We had another guy come out and we thought about going with him but we didn't feel quite right.
