Any sales representative would not spend countless hours talking to or texting their client from 8 am to 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday, but that's exactly what Russell did because I had so many questions about his system. After finding out that my company's "new" service call price was $200 for a minimum of 1 hour, it was a no brainer for me to switch to DAT when they offer $59 service calls and lifetime warranty on standard parts. A big mahalo also to Eddie who installed both the cameras and alarm system. Eddie took the time to point out exactly where the cameras should be placed so we could get the maximum coverage for our home. Eddie's workmanship is the best I've ever seen! I had just moved into our new home, unfortunately my husband wasn't home, I was in my pjs half asleep at 8 pm. And a gentleman rings my doorbell. While I found it odd, he initially explained he was in the neighborhood for another client and it didn't workout, the conversation was okay but then Russ was speaking very fast and for many reasons that evening I felt slightly pushed. I think I just started being nervous of being alone and slightly sketched out as I began thinking like who does business door to door that late? So I signed a contract to get the conversation over with. Fast forward 24 hours later I couldn't stop thinking of the interaction and regretted not having done my research and feeling more like it was our choice. Thus, I texted Russ and explained my feelings. What a relief and honestly amazing experience to have a businessman so kindly respond understanding completely and apologizing. I sincerely respect that level of professionalism and tact more than anything. He cancelled the contract without penalty and understood where I was coming from. We have had four different companies service our business for the last 20 plus years. We had the clinic hardwired back when we first opened up, which was like the standard back then. I really love the low maintenance and reliability of a hard wired system. Several years ago I decided to switch companies to someone who could offer more interfaces with my cel phone. I selected Aloha Alarm because of all the great reviews on Yelp. They were great at first and reasonably priced. I like the Alarm.Com interface and was happy. Then the panel started saying that the cel phone interface would need to be upgraded. They said my panel would need to be replaced and quoted me over $2200 for the installation? Seriously we were customers for about 4 years and the new panel was about $400 on Amazon. Plus they wanted another 4 year contract. I then learned that the company was sold and the new mainland based company did not have as much Aloha. I was out of contract so I searched for an alarm company. To my surprise Security Alarm Shop had great reviews. We had used them for years for our pagers. (Yes I know it's old but still loved that thing). Anyway Jim gave me a great deal on the panel (I think it was free, but I can't remember). This was over a year ago and they have been great. They changed the panel and keypads. I had to change to the Honeywell Total Control app which I don't like as much as the Alarm.Com but that was because I wanted a Honeywell panel. I requested service to replace a couple of old glass break and motion sensors which were 20 years old. They charged me just the cost of the equipment and did the service for free. Plus my monthly service rate is really affordable. I really like these guys. I was contemplating using ring security and doing the install and monitoring myself but as this is a business I wanted more of an expert to service and maintain the system. I couldn't be happier. I plan to install ring camera ms to supplement but I know the base system is solid.

Bought a second hand stereo system hooked it up no sound. Called these guys to check it out told…read morethem everything I did and went through the set up to see if they could help me. They checked through everything I did they said everything looked right. They called in their master tech, he came in with a condescending tone he questioned me about my system and how I wanted the system to run. The master tech unplugged some wires and said the receiver is broke and he can't do anything else about it. They charged me $224 for that. So I was sold a broken receiver for $380 and $224 to confirm it was broken, a $604 dollar loss. They said , "call us when you get a new receiver." I asked, will you install it for what I paid today? Thinking since he was charging me for an install but did really install anything. He was like no, I will charge you again.

I bought new equipment to add to my system in February and they rescheduled me 4 times. I just canceled the new equipment, they are ridiculous. It's too bad, they've had some very nice staff, their management just seems to be totally a mess.
