Food is solid, and whoever orders the beer on tap knows what they are doing. I've found some great IPAs, stouts and browns from Breakside, Ft. George, Sun River, Bend Brewing, and many more outstanding Oregon breweries. Staff is exceedingly friendly. It was a Friday, late afternoon so they were not yet busy. The person who seated us seemed more interested in going on her break than seating us and putting our card on file (which is the process they have) for a table and easy checkout. We found our way to a table and a server who was new and friendly came over and took our drink order. My sister and I only wanted ice water mine with a lemon. When the server delivered my brother in law's drink she informed us we had to get our own water from a table by the bar. Instead of ice water, we got iced water which gets warm faster. The server then brought a couple lemon slices. I got fish & chips with tots instead of fries and it came with a slaw. My brother in law had an ahi salad and my sister had a burger with tots. My sister had no complaints it was a burger and the tots were crispy crunchy. The ahi salad was different from the one ordered in February. The fish was sliced and the salad was less wedge-like and more like shredded lettuce. He liked the other one much better. This was my first time and likely my last. The fish was cooked perfectly. Moist and flakey. It was supposed to be cracker coated. I don't know what the coating was but it was thick and flavorless. Not a bit of seasoning which meant the perfectly cooked fish was bland and had no personality. The tarter was not a traditional tangy pickled tarter but more of an herb sauce. I didn't care for it and that was the only taste I got in each bite because as I said, the fish was flavorless. I too had tots and they were perfectly crispy crunchy so good job on those! On to the slaw. It was absolutely disgusting! The shredded red cabbage limp and wet with a bold overpowering cilantro juice/dressing and a few carrot curls. Yuck. One bite and I wanted to spit it out. The building is a bit on the dark side but there are tap lamps on the tables to help with lighting. A sofa sitting area for casual conversation is off on one side of the room and the walls are adorned with TVs, Batman, military and first responder stuff. read more

TLDR: Long wait for burned food. TERRIBLE service. Staff added extra unauthorized tip. Check your bank statements! I made a reservation for trivia, requesting 5-8 guests. The venue responded, asking if it would be more than 5, so I confirmed for 6. However, when they sent the confirmation, it mistakenly listed 5, and I overlooked the error since the date was also the 5th. When I arrived early at 6:20 PM with three others (eventually a party of 7), the manager--at least, I assume she was, based on her attitude--was visibly annoyed. She claimed I had only reserved for 5 and acted like sliding a table together was a massive inconvenience. When I showed her my phone with the reservation for 6, she was unimpressed and continued to be rude throughout the night. The poor service didn't stop there. I ordered chicken strips and watched multiple tables receive theirs before I was finally informed--after 30 minutes--that they had run out. I changed my order to wings, which took another half-hour, only to arrive burned. The manager's attitude was the worst I've encountered in years. She was unpleasant to every member of my group, making the entire experience miserable. The only person who did their job well was the trivia host. But here's where it gets worse: We were so fed up with the service that we left at 8:20 PM, despite the event going until 9. I intentionally left only a $1.50 tip on a $21.50 bill, To express my displeasure. However, when I checked my bank statement, I discovered that my signed tip amount had been altered--I was charged $25.50 instead. My friend, left a $0 tip, but found that his charge had been increased by a $6 tip. This isn't just bad service--this is theft. We plan to file a police report regarding the altered tip amounts. Given how terrible the service was, I wouldn't be surprised if this has happened to other customers as well. If the owner cares about this business, they should fire the manager immediately. But honestly, I hope she is the owner--so when this place inevitably fails, she'll know exactly who to blame. To anyone reading this: check your bank statements carefully. read more

If you are looking for your typical fried bar food you have come to the wrong place. The food is very delicious unique great portions and affordable. The place is clean. Went in about a week ago. The service was bad to say the least. The bartender was rude. She was short of patience, had a biting tone and comments. This was not exclusive to only me, but other customers seated at tables near me. I also observed her speaking unkindly to the waitress on the floor who seemed overwhemed and was slammed with customers. Multiple menu items were unavailable, I found out after waiting 35 minutes to be told to I had to choose something else. The food was at best ok, a 30ish minute wait from ordering to service. My wife & I are passing through on vacation. We found this little gem online. When we first walked in, we were immediately greeted by this young lady with a big smile. First of all, the food and service are off the charts good! The atmosphere is inviting and patriotic. A definite plus! Inside, there's a wine and cidar tasting bar - amazing! The food is so fresh, well-seasoned, garnished to perfection, all with homemade condiments. All good things to be sure. But our favorite thing about this bar & grill is their story. Seeing Batman and patriotic items all over definitely raised some questions. You'll have to visit and read for yourself the significance of these themes, but let me just say it will make you want to support this family straight away. Definitely recommend! Don't avoid because of former negative reviews. As the daddy of a girl who lost her son, I can tell you that that kind of loss changes you forever. Anger can set in. It's not right. It's not fair. We had been looking for a place near our home where we could just pop in for a quick meal. Heroes is just right for us. They have an extensive beer selection and delicious mixed drinks - special on Bloody Mary's on Sundays. They have a wide food selection from appetizers to full meals. Last night I had the steak bites appetizer and Roger had the veggie pizza. Everything we have tried has been tasty and reasonably priced. It is a tap house and there are multiple TV's on the walls but they are not loud. The service has been outstanding each time we've been there. They have offered tastes of the various beers on tap. What a cute place! My husband and I went to check the place out since we are getting a long overdue family get-together. We shared a French dip with Tater tots, and my husband had a 7/7 and they put a light in it. That was different. The restaurant is on the dark side but they have these portable lamps you touch to turn on to help you read the menu. The food was great, we shared and left very well satisfied. They have a lottery room in there, comfy sofas, bat man themed. The food on the menu looked like fun thing to try which we will be doing this Sunday. The bartender was attentive and friendly. Friday last week my wife and I and two friends went to heroes for dinner and the place was not too busy but several tables were reserved for I guess they're family feud night we had to find a table by the door but got a cold draft ever time the door opened. l use a walker to get about as well as a electric scooter. I had difficulty getting between the tables with my walker to go to the restroom l Park the scooter in the corner of the restaurant, which was fine ordered dinner for the four of us at the same time. Well my wife and I got dinner first and we waited and waited and waited then asked somebody where the other couples dinner was they said well you ordered at different times we said no we ordered at the same time they went back to the kitchen and came back with meals. The wife of my friend had ordered the bento box. sauce on the side when she got her dinner she had sauce on the side but sauce all over it. The restaurant was too not too willing to do anything. Management needs to make the restaurant a little more ADA friendly bit this will be the last time we will go there. I'm sorry we used to go there quite a bit. Hello. In the last couple of days I've experienced the worst customer service I've ever received from a restraunt. On Friday March 17th at 8:24PM I called and was put on hold. I could hear the business in the background so when I got hung up on after sitting there for 7 minutes I wasn't upset because I could tell they were busy and probably forgot. I called back and asked when you guys closed and I got a response of "We close at 11 but last call is 10:15-10:20" so I hung up and texted my girlfriend that we had time to wait for her to get off work so it wasn't cold if I got it before hand. I arrived at your establishment around 10:12 and was told that the kitchen was closed but if I wanted something fried they could do it. This was very irritating to me because I could've easily ordered before she got off work if I knew there were time constraints. While I was complaining to my girlfriend in the car on the way home I realized that the girl said last call was at 10:15-10:20 so I was going to give her the benefit of the doubt but now I know she is just a liar and a bad employee. Today I called at 6:50 to try and place an order (didn't even check closing time this time) and I was put on hold once again. This time it sounded much different, I heard conversations in the background and a much quieter tone. I was at the store so I decided I would just drive over. Once I got there I asked the bartender if the kitchen was open (front says go to bar for service, that's laughable). She politely said no I'm sorry the tables just got shut down... What she didn't realize was that I was on the phone still waiting for her to get back to me. So it is my assumption that she sat the phone down so she wouldn't have to put in a food order in at the last minute. read more

They have six tents set up in front - four are enclosed on three sides, with tables and gas-fed fire pits; and two are open, with bistro tables and tabletop gas-fed fires. The enclosed tents require reservations. A grill in the patio area was smoking meat, and the smell was amazing. We ordered a steak salad, two BBQ burgers, and a French Dip. All of us enjoyed the food - flavors were excellent, and the ride home in closed containers ruined nothing (the tater tots were still crisp!). Went there for a wedding reception and was not looking forward to it. The only other time I had been to this place, I was really disappointed and never intended to come back. Well, it's not the same place. I felt welcomed, the servers were engaged, responsive (didn't pass by the empty napkin container, but filled it up immediately), and it met all me expectations for a pub. Lots of beer choices and a hearty selection of wines as well. The basic bar food serving of nachos was large with a combo of cheeses and not limited to the 7-11 dribble cheese. What I liked was the very fresh slices of jalapenos because they were not frozen and were lightly battered instead of draped with breading like it came out of Omar the Tent Makers kitchen. Of course, that means that they were pretty spicy like a jalapeno should be. Don't expect pansy pepper poppers. . . Everything was great until I got to the lettuce, tomato and onion to put on my sandwich. The lettuce was rotten! Why is this okay to serve?! It isn't even a little rotten. Next I ordered the Bavarian Pretzel with Nacho Cheese. On the app that is all the information you get. I added a photo of my receipt: everything says 1 next to it. Is that the reason I only got 1 actual Pretzel stick? For $6.00 that is truley pathetic. Super disappointed. The only reason I can't give it 1 Star, is because the rest of my sandwich was good. I called and spoke with a gentleman tonight because our order was not complete and was ordered through UberEats. When I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor (this call was on speaker phone) I overheard him speaking with the person in charge who said "tell them I'm not here and take their number and I'll call them back tomorrow." The guy said to me "sorry we don't have anyone in charge here today I can get your number and he will call you back tomorrow around 11." I confronted the man for lying since both my husband and myself overheard their conversation, then I was told that this was a problem with Uber. I tried explaining several times that our order was not complete and that was the fault of Heroes for not fulfilling the entire order but it was pretty obvious that Heroes had NO interest in even attempting to make this right. On top of it all, the food was luke warm and not very good. Update: the owner called me. He is very nice but I don't think customer service is his shtick. He asked me if I stay at my job after 5 for customers and said that his dinner is cold because he had to stay late because of this issue. He also vented to me for about 10 minutes over his issues with UberEats. I had it on speaker phone and my husband and oldest son were floored by his attempt at customer service. They refunded us $1 and he offered no apology because it is a problem with Uber. He didn't address his employee lying to me about him not being there either. Their prices for beer and food are way high as well. It's over priced with crap service. I even saw the owner drop a cup behind the bar and pick it up and place it back in the cup crate at the bar instead of having it cleaned. They talk inappropriately about people at the bar. So rude!
