The atmosphere and decor are both amazing. Great vibe and friendly staff. The salsa could use a little kick but tastes amazing either way. The food selection is fantastic and the price is amazing.

Food was delicious. I had to take Food home after all. We only had one appetizer shrimp appetizer, and one plate that still there was fruit left over to take home service is always prompt and an excellent ambience is really beautiful. There's live plants everywhere and maybe fake plants, but you can't really tell a television is playing in the background and very quietly I might have a beautiful booth and seating in this place.

This was our first time here. Several friends have recommended Fridas. Tonight we came in after work. We were not disappointed. The moment we walked in several employees greeted us. My husband asked questions when we were seated about the drinks. When they came they both tasted great. Our food came out not long after we ordered and we were not disappointed. My husband ordered the 3 combo dinner with Chimichanga, burrito and tostada. I got the Birrea . I normally go for seafood but decided to go outside my comfort zone. The taste was wonderful. My husband was happy with his order and I gave him a bite of mine and he loved it as well. We will definitely be back for more.

Nice restaurant. The menu is fairly large, with a lot of choices. Service was good, no complaints. The dish I wanted to try was sold out, so I'll have to come back another day and try it. I ordered Shrimp Enchiladas. They were very filling and delicious. My wife ordered Lobster Enchiladas, and thought it was very good. She was not able to finish her dinner and took it home to have for lunch the next day. We'll certainly return. Frida's is one of the better Mexican restaurants in Salem.

Chile verde, rice and beans. Not sure of the shrimp plate, but it was delicious.

My food was mediocre. I had the chile verde with freshly made tortillas. The service was very slow. It took more than 20 mins to bring drinks. However, I did like the fact that the restaurant was not too crowded and it was clean.

Margarita Flight (3.5/5) Variety is good, decent price, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Overall I would say it is a 3.5 of 5 starts. Ambiance was good, sort of loud maybe because of the close proximity to other tables but it's also a bonus to see other people's food/drinks! Service was okay. After the food was brought to us we weren't really checked on.

We went for a late lunch. The $8 lunch menu has many options. There was only one waiter on staff in our section but he was attentive, friendly, and polite. We will definitely be back to try the other lunch options, I mean where can you get a full meal for $8 plus chips, beans, and salsa!

Wow flavors were amazing and portions very generous! The menu offered such a big variety but every plate we ordered were excellent! Vibe was great on a Friday night; perfect place for a large party!

What a great find! The decor is bright & colorful with so many nods to Frida. Our server was terrific & knew just what drink to suggest. She recommended the honeydew margarita, saying "it makes me cry every time." My daughter totally agrees & enjoyed her choice very much. I imbibed in a decent glass of mezcal. For our food, we ordered the shrimp ceviche tostadas & potato nachos. The nachos were okay, but the star of the meal were definitely the tostadas! A taste of Baja in every bite!! Loved coming here & would absolutely do it again!

Came here for my Birthday. Left so disappointed. My chilaquiles so so tart and sour It Upset my stomach. Only was able to eat the eggs and steak pieces on it. Drinks are good. Food not so much. Partner ordered a steal plate but asked if he could only have the skirt steak rice and beans . They told him they could do that for him but he will still have to pay fulllll price! We said find cause we were sooo hungry hence not having pictures of the food. But what was additional to his plate that they still charged for was a shrimp skewer, nopal, and bone marrow . It was outrageous. Its beautiful in there. But the price an how much they help is crazy. Again would only go for DRINKS

Had to eat my $40 dinner off the lid to the tortillas.

You order at the counter and then you get a number to take with you and place at whichever seat you choose. Drinks and food both came out really quick. I tried the bees knees which had honey, lavender, rosemary and simple syrup with a dash of black pepper. I did not see nor taste the black pepper but I was a huge fan of this drink. It wasn't overpowering in any of the flavors and the rosemary sprig made it look so cute. I got the breakfast potato hash with no tomatoes and it was a delicious and filling breakfast. The potatoes were so good my group wouldn't stop helping themselves to them. I added some hot sauce as it was in the dryer side but still really good. I also tried the matcha coconut scone. It had a pretty matcha green color but it was hard to taste the matcha or coconut and it was quite dry. Service was quick and friendly. The inside is really beautiful and we couldn't help but do a little photoshoot, so many fun backgrounds! Things to note: Restroom shared with other businesses close by businesses and metered street parking only.

We reserved on Tock, and it was mostly full on a Friday night. Drinks: lots of local beers are available, but I went with the Pineapple Express: she warned it was spicy, and it indeed was (in a really good way). All of the food is done family style: - Clams Galicia: with tomato, chorizo, bacon broth. This broth as amazing. I literally drank it with a spoon - Pan con tomate: slightly different from classic preparation - more flavorful and heavier on the toppings - Salmorejo: tomato and bread puree, Serrano, jammy egg - like a creamy gazpacho - Grilled asparagus: with whipped ricotta and a cured egg yolk - Squid ink pasta: with hazelnuts, caramelized onions, peppers, and a runny egg yolk, a bit spicy. This dish was my favorite - Honey brined pork chop with a basque piperade sauce The servers were all great about checking in. I would definitely recommend the squid ink pasta and the clams if you're in town!

Music was excellent; audible but not intrusive. Comfy chairs. Lower lighting, well placed. Service was excellent, friendly and fast. I think our server's name was Mikayla; a gem. Attentive and observant but never intrusive. Drinks: my old fashioned was absolutely perfect and my husband's margarita was fine. Appetizers: beer cheese was well balanced and a bit runny, which I prefer over the library paste version some places serve. The elotes dip was a standout, mildly spicy, with lime in the cilantro, and warm, crispy chips. (Whatever is in their seasoning for chips and fries should be sold separately -- I wanted to try it on everything.) We probably should have stopped there, as the portions were abundant, but our mains were amazing. Smash burger was insanely juicy, nice and onion-y with a few Crunchy Brown Bits around the edges. The roll was fresh and tender, with a good crust; flavorful, not just a shingle. The fries were the best I've had in Salem. Get the garlic-thyme upgrade; you won't regret it. My ribeye was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately they were out of both compound butters, apparently due to a busy Friday, but everything was well seasoned. The vegetable of the day was roasted Brussels sprouts with a sweet-and-salty sauce, almost like kettle corn; amazing. The outer leaves were caramelized without being burned, and the hearts were tender but not mushy. Crispy fried onions were perfect. Fried potatoes were fine, and enriched by their placement between the steak and the sprouts. The diners who came in before us were all smiles when they left, so it wasn't a fluke. Can't wait to come back!
