Great Food, Even Better Company We met up with my wife's son and daughter-in-law for a casual Thursday afternoon lunch. Since she's expecting and had a craving for Mexican food, they picked this spot based on past experiences. We arrived around 2:30 PM, and the place wasn't busy--parking was easy, and we were seated right away. One quick note: the actual name of the restaurant is Casa Los Dos Amigos, not Casamigos as it's listed on Yelp. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall near the intersection of Chemawa Road and River Road, just a couple of miles from the I-5 Chemawa Road exit in Keizer, OR. The staff was friendly and efficient. We were quickly offered drinks, menus, and complimentary chips and salsa--plus a nice touch: a small plate of refried beans. They also let us know the lunch menu ends at 3 PM. The interior is festively decorated with a colorful Mexican theme, and the menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of classic dishes. While catching up and browsing the menu, I went with the chile verde enchiladas, my wife ordered a fajita combo, and they chose a burrito and enchiladas. i love the mole enchiladas they taste just like my abuelas! the ceviche was a little dry for my liking but i guess it's good so it doesn't make the tostada all soggy. the service is alright and it was quite hot inside actually i assume they use ac for a hotter day but even while the blinds were closed it was pretty warm. the setting inside is nice overall okay experience but good food read more

Let me start of with the ambiance feels welcoming and was clean during our visit. Took wait staff a few minutes to acknowledge us and get us seated even though the restaurant was not busy. Drink were great even tough again took awhile to receive. Food seemed fresh i ordered the ceviche and also got the plate of chilaquiles. Would have preferred more attentive staff to be checking in on us. Otherwise not a bad place and seems pretty in line with the other restaurants under this ownership. read more

I met here with some friends on a Monday night and I'm glad I gave this place another try. I had not been back since my last review 5 years ago. We've been coming to Casaamigos for 3+ years now whenever we're in Keizer. They do a 12.99 Taco Tuesday special that comes with 3 tacos + rice and beans. The carne asada was over cooked and almost to hard to eat but the flavor itself with marinated onions and that sauce was yummy. The shrimp tacos were amazing and they do have good rice and beans. We used to get the 2 for $28 ALL the time but it looks like they may have gotten rid of it. The prices have also gone up, but so has everything else lately. They have great drinks and offer a Margarita flight. We will continue to go, just maybe skip the carne asada. read more

I've been here numerous times and enjoyed everything about this place: The music, the smoky salsa & tart cabbage served with chips. The drinks are great too! But this visit was terrible. I ordered the flaming fajitas with chicken & steak. After almost dying from smoke inhalation, I started to eat and the meat was tough and inedible. The beans were cold and the rice was crunchy. The chicken was so dry it just crumbled and the steak was impossible to chew. The flour tortillas were trash. It's like they opened a bag of tortillas they grabbed off the shelf at Safeway and nuked them for 10 seconds in the microwave. They were hard and flavorless. A friend mentioned that lives in Salem that their was a Mexican restaurant in Keizer that he went to and liked a lot. So my son and I happened to be in Salem and decided to go here. I of course ordered the Pollo ala crema when I saw it on the menu because that is my go to item at any Mexican restaurant and my son ordered a enchilada ala crema with chicken. First, I must say that I got a sticker shock when I looked at the prices, they were quite on the high side. When I got my Pollo ala crema it looked very appetizing and the sauce tasted very good, but the chicken was extremely over cooked to where it was rubbery and very tough to eat. Also the tortillas looked fresh made they were quite dry and felt and tasted as if they were from the day before. The rice was also bland and very dry and was only helped when soaked in the crema sauce. The customer service was very limited because I saw that there was only a handful of people helping the lobby so I was not critical on that and understood that they were short handed. Garbage. I've made two attempts. The first one was In House and I ordered the Talapia Vera Cruz which was 99.9% Vera Cruz and .1% little dissolved pieces of fish. Enough time had passed and I got sloppy. I ordered delivery of two plates of cheese enchiladas. Pretty basic. Instead I got an order of Chile rellenos which were colder than the bag of chips when they arrived. So basically, I have no idea where to start. Having seen the inside of this establishment, which is cute, I guess it's just where white people go to drink enough to make the food taste good? But shame on me. This place deserves all five stars and then some! We went today to celebrate my birthday with a family of five. We were greeted and seated immediately with drink orders, waters, chips, salsa, refried beans and pickled veggies arriving quickly after. Food was served in abundant portions and everyone around the table was happy with what they got (some fish, shrimp, shredded chicken, ground beef, and pork all made appearances at our table, and all were good to outstanding). The drinks were to die for (seriously, try the Hennchata!) and the service was perfect! Since it was my birthday (and a 100+ degree day) we brought all the gifts into the restaurant and were given plenty of space and time to open them after we finished our entrees and the plates were cleared. I was even surprised with a Happy Birthday song from what looked like the entire staff - as well as an incredibly tasty shot! My partner and I have been here many times before, but this was the trip that got me to write this review. We will be back many times over and non-chain, local restaurants deserve our patronage. Was really excited to try this place, but really disappointed with the food. I ordered fajitas making sure everything was on the side and separate. She brings me a burrito (admits I ordered right she just placed it wrong) and does nothing to get the order right. I would have been cool with the burrito if it wasn't just a tortilla stuffed with a bunch of rice and beans. Happy hour deals were good considering their portions were big enough for one person (you can even share). All Happy Hour specials are 5.95 (extra $3.00 if you want steak, chicken, etc.) as long as a drink is purchased! I believe happy hour is from 3-5 and 8-11pm (closing time). We have returned to this place nearly a dozen times. We are enticed by the food but it is no longer tolerable to deal with the staff. While Hugo does a great job, the rest of the servers disappear for long stretches of time and on most occasions it takes 20 minutes just to get someone to take our order. On multiple occasions we have sat for over 10 minutes with an empty glass. On one specific visit, the older lady sercer made eye across the room, after a long absence, I gave the raised finger, hand in the air, international symbol for assistance and she angrily yelled at me. After we finally got our chips, salsa and drink, it was pretty much over. The nachos were fine. The sopita I ordered tasted like cardboard. Service? There wasn't any. I had to hunt someone down for napkins and more salsa which I had asked for when they brought our food. After 15 minutes or more waiting for a check/ or anyone to check on us I had to go find someone again to get us our bill. Let it be known I am NOT a patient person and by now I am fuming. Salsa was awful, red water with chunks of tomatoes, onion and peppers that didn't help the flavor at all. We ordered off the lunch menu $7.50 - $9.95, my husbands portion was huge and my was just regular size, not sure why the size difference. Not sure of the name but the chicken dish was tomato sauce, onion, mushrooms and cheese with over cooked chicken. Pork verde was the smaller dish. Pork was nicely cooked just no flavor it needed salt which is usually my biggest complaint about Mexican food too much salt. Oh well, another new restaurant that's just mediocre. read more

Super disappointed ... first off hubby and I walked in and the decor and style is amazing and beautiful! Love the layout so much. But then sadly when we got our food I was met with bland soggy food, all which was way way way overpriced! We sat at the bar and the bartender was left alone to handle a lot of tables. But when hubby got his food he had no fork, so we had to share. I wish we were checked in once when the food was delivered. And I wish we had some hot sauce or something!
