My son and I stopped for lunch while passing through Salem. The food was better than expected and the hazy ipa was delicious. I had the pork belly nachos and my son had the birrea chimichanga, both dishes were delicious. If you're looking for high quality food and great beer Xicha won't disappoint. The staff were friendly and the service was solid.

This place was recommended by some co-workers. We stopped for some late dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and well presented. The music was a little loud for my liking, not for having a conversation but the decor is really nice. Staff was very friendly.

Overall, it is a really nice place! There is indoor and outdoor seating available. A vibe for everyone: a quick dinner, drinks with friends, or I've even seen families with children dine-in. With ongoing events it is a nice place for any day of the week. The service is good, you really only place an order with servers and they might check in but it's sort of food cart style if you will. However, the few interactions I have had with servers has always been positive. The food is good, I've had the $10, 2 pupusa special and it's one of my favorites. The chips are really light and fresh, I would recommend them for a starter.

We love this location because it's so much more roomy and many more tables. Half our table received our food pretty fast and then they got really busy so the food started coming out a little slower. The croquetas were delicious as always. The pupusas on special were yummy as well! The mixed taco plate was a little disappointing this visit because the two pork belly tacos the pork was overcooked almost too hard and crunchy to eat. The shrimp on the shrimp taco were plump and juicy. Can't beat the homemade tortillas. Another person at our table ordered the costillas (pork rib's) that were on special and loved them. It's a small portion so he ordered 2 tacos as well. His pork belly was overcooked almost too cooked as well but he enjoyed the shrimp taco also. We had a couple rounds of drinks and everyone went home full and happy. Until next time ~Cheers!

Excellent food! Stopped in while road-tripping through Oregon and after a 8-mile hike in Silver Falls State Park, decided a beer was in order! The beer was good, I also sampled the chili-infused beer which was quite tasty without being overly spicy. I was REALLY impressed by the food! Very flavorful, good quality, and intersting options. Was disappinted that they were out of the smoked trout taquitos, but everything else we ordered (veggie empanadas, shrimp tacos, patatas bravas) were amazing!! They had several TVs which was nice to watch football, and the space was pretty ample with a pool table! I'd also give 5 stars for service alone - everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Xicha Brewing is good spot in Salem for sure. We ordered the barbacoa bowl, quesadilla, and nachos, and everything came out good. The barbacoa was good and well-seasoned, the quesadilla was simple but done right, and the nachos weren't overloaded or soggy just balanced and clean. I'd definitely order it again. We also tried three different beers a lighter, crisp option, a hop-forward one, and something more rounded/malty all of them solid. No weird aftertastes. Just well made beer that actually pairs with the food. The atmosphere is a big plus. The space has good energy, a lot of strong artwork and murals, and feels cultural instead of a corporate knock off like something that isn't authentic. It's comfortable, social, and doesn't feel forced or fake. The wait on the food wasn't too long. We got good food in about 5-10 minutes. Good food, good beer, good space. Easy place to come back to.

Great counter service... order at the counter and take a seat. Very good flight of Margaritas highly recommend. We had an amazing assortment of food. Taquitos, Short ribs and Chimichangas. The beef Chimichangas come with a Birria sauce.

Finally made it over to the North Salem location after being loyal to the West side since I live near by. This spot is bigger, brighter, and has a ton of parking so no circling the lot like a hungry vulture. Perfect setup if you've got a big crew too! The line looked intimidating at first, but it moved faster than I thought. I went with my usual: the barbacoa nachos, because honestly, why mess with perfection? They're mouth-watering every single time. I've tried other dishes, but somehow the nachos keep calling me back. Also, if considering a fruity margarita( they're delicious and dangerously easy to drink. Super friendly service and bomb food as always. Highly recommend!

Good and friendly customer service. The food was so delicious! We ordered nachos, taquitos and tacos. The pricing is pretty decent. Drinks were so good. Also keep in mind that this place has special events with live music and kid welcome till time of closing. This was on February 15 celebrating Valentine's Day.

We ordered empanadas and tacos, husband had their lager and I had a Paloma. Service is fantastic, food is amazing!!! Was so surprised, being a Californian, that there is such good Latin food in Oregon. I had no idea!!! So good!

    My uneventful tacos!

    Dog friendly? ADA Accessibility?

They are dog friendly but relegated to the patio. While decent in the warmer months. It is uncovered, so in the rainy season, it would certainly be weather dependent.

Their ciders are great, I tried the Viking Cherry Cider and loved it so much I bought a six pack to take home, at $18 for 6 it was still absolutely well worth it. For food my coworker got the Fish and Chips, deep fried in beef tallow for those who avoid seed oils, and said it was excellent. I had a caesar salad and fries to go with my cider and it was a lovely meal. This will absolutely be one of our go-to spots when in Salem from now on.

We shared a juicy hazy IPA and an order of scotch eggs while sitting on the patio, which is shaded and comfortable with both picnic tables and bar-top seating. I was thrilled to find that the scotch eggs were not only delicious but also authentically prepared. The yolk was soft and slightly runny, and the crust was perfectly crisp and flavorful. This establishment is a true hidden gem. While the food prices are a little steep, the quality definitely makes it worthwhile. We will be back!

She was so kind to our dog and made us feel so comfortable. We went with her beer suggestions and then she gave us a taste of the Mamba- their flagship beer- we loved it. Ambiance is 5/5 - the inside dining room and bar area are rustic & would feel very cabin-comfortable in the winter. The dog-friendly outside patio is surrounded by creekside foliage and the breeze that comes through the shaded seating area has a natural cooling effect during this hot summer day. The vibe is very relaxed and casual. Food is 5/5 - Happy Hour goes from 3-5:30 and they offer great value for food items on the HH menu. I had the pulled pork sando with side salad during HH and we split a spicy chicken sando with fries as well. The portions are generous and both items were good quality and fresh from the bun to the coleslaw on the pulled pork- everything was so good! The blueberry heffy & the Mamba ard delightful on warm days. We will definitely recommend Gilgamesh Brewing and look forward to returning to the area.
