Their ciders are great, I tried the Viking Cherry Cider and loved it so much I bought a six pack to take home, at $18 for 6 it was still absolutely well worth it. For food my coworker got the Fish and Chips, deep fried in beef tallow for those who avoid seed oils, and said it was excellent. I had a caesar salad and fries to go with my cider and it was a lovely meal. This will absolutely be one of our go-to spots when in Salem from now on.

The inside atmosphere is sports bar fabulous plenty of seating for groups or couples. We shared a juicy hazy IPA and an order of scotch eggs while sitting on the patio, which is shaded and comfortable with both picnic tables and bar-top seating. I was thrilled to find that the scotch eggs were not only delicious but also authentically prepared. The yolk was soft and slightly runny, and the crust was perfectly crisp and flavorful. This establishment is a true hidden gem. While the food prices are a little steep, the quality definitely makes it worthwhile. We will be back!

I didn't get the impression this place makes it's own beer as all I saw was guest taps... which is okay because the list was quite large. Looking in Untappd it does look like they indeed made their beer at one point and time and maybe they still do... I just didn't see any on the list. So tsking my own advice and drinking smartly I got a root beer here that was also on tap along with the beer. I don't recall who exactly made the root beer but it was from a brewery and some craft breweries make absolutely fantastic craft sodas and this one was very good! The place seems to have spacious seating but placing orders up at the front counter can get congested. This place is in a cool spot so despite not finding beer I still walked away from it feeling it was a positive experience.

We went with her beer suggestions and then she gave us a taste of the Mamba- their flagship beer- we loved it. Ambiance is 5/5 - the inside dining room and bar area are rustic & would feel very cabin-comfortable in the winter. The dog-friendly outside patio is surrounded by creekside foliage and the breeze that comes through the shaded seating area has a natural cooling effect during this hot summer day. The vibe is very relaxed and casual. Food is 5/5 - Happy Hour goes from 3-5:30 and they offer great value for food items on the HH menu. I had the pulled pork sando with side salad during HH and we split a spicy chicken sando with fries as well. The portions are generous and both items were good quality and fresh from the bun to the coleslaw on the pulled pork- everything was so good! The blueberry heffy & the Mamba ard delightful on warm days. We will definitely recommend Gilgamesh Brewing and look forward to returning to the area.

They had Area 51, which was my game, so I was pretty bummed when they eventually removed it. I was also a little sad when they switched from coins to game cards. There's just something so nostalgic about putting a quarter into an arcade machine especially for us '90s kids! That said, we still go to Coin Jam pretty frequently and always have a great time. Everyone is friendly, the atmosphere has a really cool vibe, and I love that if you don't use all the money on your game card, you can save it and come back another time.
