Very good coffee, earthy vibe, good service. Medium coffee of the day was the best coffee I've had this month.

The 4 stars are about the service mostly and less about the food or coffee. Staff worked with me to try to find anything they could for me with all my allergens. Ended up with some lunch meat and some avocado. They didn't charge me much for it, which bonus points honestly. The coffee i had was decidedly not good though. One of the fall drinks. Was so bad I only sipped it twice and then tossed it. Family ate their meals but didn't seem enthused. Half of one meal got tossed from someone who usually eats the whole plate. Overall, staff is kind, they will check for allergens, but stick to normal coffee, tea, other drinks, and pastries for the non allergen-ed among you.

A great breakfast choice. Everything appears to be made in house and fresh. The baked goods were delicious. The Quiche Lorraine with the flaky crust and high quality ingredients was tasty. Would have been better if served hot, not warm. The ham and egg toast was also good, but sat on the counter too long and was cool. The place is busy and the employees do the best they can. Coffee is fresh, hot and really hit the spot. Cute spot.

Right on Main St in beautiful Durango, Colorado, this little cafe is awesome! The menu posted is full of delicious treats made on site. Thick, fluffy quiches, fat shiney cinnamon rolls, great sandwiches and a variety of toasts - all of which call you back for more. We had the breakfast sandwich- an enormous delicate croissant filled with scrambled eggs, sausage and diced potatoes. I'll be full for a week! Don't miss this gem when you visit the Rockies!

We were headed out early and stopped by for a quick bite and coffee. We got the bacon and green chili quiche, chocolate chip muffin, latte and vanilla latte. All were delicious! The lattes had the best espresso flavor! It was a hoppin' place, even for the early morning. The ladies behind the counter were friendly, efficient and were cranking out the drinks! We'll definitely return!

Super friendly staff and lots of great food and drink options. I had a chai tea latte and they were able to spice it up like I like it! They had cayenne pepper even, which was awesome! Fast service and nice lounging area and decor. Came in here 3 times while we were in town.

Stopped in at the Hermosa Cafe in Durango, Colorado today. I picked up a few scones and a slice of veggie quiche to go! I'm a huge fan of quiche and scones and both were delicious! Glad we were just passing through town, otherwise I'd be eating there frequently! Like the employee there told me...think of it as food for the soul not the waistline!

It's tough to give a 2-star review because this place seems to have such a great local presence. Unfortunately for us, our visit was no bueno. The shop is cute and right on main street, and it was one of the only places open early so we stopped in for some coffee and pastries. We stood in line near the pastry case and I noticed that there were some quiches sitting in pie pans, uncovered on the counter. As we got closer to the register, there were a few more pies and a few cinnamon rolls also sitting, uncovered in dishes on the counter. Their sign says their goodies are baked fresh daily but I recognized a few things in the case from a big box bulk store and the desserts we ordered tasted a bit stale. The cinnamon roll we got was hard as a rock - maybe it was because it was old or maybe because it had been sitting out in the open air? Who knows. We also got specialty coffees and neither had any flavor, despite both being flavored. We were able to doctor them up with some cream and sugar on the counter and went on our merry way. Hermosa does have great potential to be "hermosa", hopefully it was just an off day.

No outlets anywhere, overpriced baked goods, okay coffee. Cool vibe with good decor, lots of seating with both tables and cozy chairs.

Chef Michel makes a gluten free crepe batter though, so I was thrilled to try out his food! The serene seating area is surrounded by blooming flowers and lush foliage, so it was not difficult to convince my mom to make the stop. Hands down, these were the best crepes I've ever had in my life. My mom, who is not gluten free, said she couldn't distinguish the regular crepe she had the day before at our hotel and the GF ones we had at Michel's Corner (usually GF options are very textually different and heavily alter the eating experience). We split the Ole' Molle Stolle and the Ham, Gruyère, Tomato - it was so hard to pick a favorite!! The Ole' Molle Stolle (so fun to say out loud lol) was absolutely delectable and my personal favorite - the tender chicken melted in your mouth as it danced with the complex spices and hint of chocolate. Topped off with a tangy little tomato and creamy avocado - each bite was so amazing I had to sit back and savor every note. The Ham, Gruyère, Tomato was my mom's favorite - the thick cut ham, melty cheese, and tomato with that thin layer of mustard wrapped in a light, fluffy crepe was splendid. The addition of the avocado on top took away some of the sharpness from the mustard, making each bite creamy, tangy, a little sharp, and savory. Chef Michel was so polite and sweet - once he was finished preparing orders, he walked around the seating area, greeting guests, and sitting down to have friendly conversation with them. The young man helping him when we were there was also so kind and helpful - I even caught a glimpse of him hand-picking flowers for the finishing touch on our dishes! Such a fantastic experience If you're ever in Durango this is a must stop - I can't wait to go back and try more of Chef Michel's incredible crepes!

It was delicious and fresh, but almost $20 for not a ton of food. I appreciate the effort that is put into appearance though, and the outdoor sitting area is cute. They grow their own fresh basil right on site, and the staff was great. They offered me free homemade apple cider that was delicious!
