I am going to give 5 stars for the sales team. Johnson and Luis R, along with their Sales Manager, Leo, were amazing. I need to also acknowledge the finance department. Sales people at car lots can have a bag rep, we had some bad experiences before finding this team. We did utilize the Costco buying program which made it very nice. Johnson, Luis, Leo and the finance team really left a positive impression on us. Calm, friendly, down to earth, no pushy BS, all genuine smilies with a professional demeanor. We chose our vehicle, but got lucky with the staff! I am hoping the service department follows suit when needed in the future. I must say the no pressure atmosphere, honest and fair pricing, along with a genuine love for their products and enthusiasm, really exemplify the "Wow" factor with this type of market and experience. Yes, we LOVE our vehicle and chose it for its consumer report ratings, and our history of owning Fords, but we can honestly say that this team enabled us to actually enjoy our purchase experience! This is for Service, not Sales. I took my 2011 Edge in for diagnostics because my car would die without warning and the electronics will start and stop randomly. It took them 7 hours to finish "testing" the car, and in the end they said all that is wrong is the battery. I've had the battery tested elsewhere and have been told it's fine. From the time I dropped the car off, until the time it was done, I felt talked down to and like my problems were not being listened to. I'm now having to take my car elsewhere for a second opinion and a battery, because Ford already charged me $130 to find out the battery was bad. Autozone does that in a few minutes for free. I won't be taking my car back, I'll stick with CarMax (whom my warranty is through). read more

I brought my truck in for an oil change and to diagnose a problem with my fuel gauge. My service writer, Jesse Martinez, was able to keep the truck and order the necessary part. The repair was done very quickly, but I did have a small problem that unfortunately required the same part to be reordered and replaced. Jesse got the part the next day, and was able to get me in the same day. It was a mistake on the tech's part, but they did the right thing without any prompting from me. The part was replaced while I waited. Jesse is a straight shooter, and I will have no problem bringing my Fords back to Heritage for future maintenance/repair. read more

Professional salesman, etc. Not today however... my first request for a simple oil change (free lifetime oil changes) was by phone with a lady by the name of Gwenna (apologies if misspelled)... and what a snot. I'll even preface my complaint that everyone is entitled to a bad day...but she made feel like I was bothering her, and was very unprofessional. Total disregard for a customer service presentation. I normally do not complain... but she deserves it. Ten months ago I felt I chose the right dealership. Can't say that today. I asked to speak to a service manager... she put me on hold for 9 minutes and then parked on someone's VM. I had to call back 3 times to get someone to talk with me. OK we bought a Ford a few months ago and liked the car. But for their free oil change for the life of the car take heed...the "con" behind this free oil change is that when you appear for your appointment, they try to sell you more services. If you are experienced with car repair then you realize that they are just giving you a free oil change to try to suck more money out of your wallet and then when you say no I don't want your suggestions for more services then they ask you to sign when your car is released declining additional services and then you start to have more problems when you check out. I couldn't not sign for refusing their suggested additional services or I wouldn't get my keys back. From now on I will have good old Walmart do my oil change. We won't go back. read more

Recently bought a brand new vehicle. After a week of driving it, it had some issues and it was towed to their service department. It stayed there for 3 weeks. I was never offered any help or solutions, I had to reach out to them and set something up because I desperately needed a vehicle. They offered me a rental that they would partially pay for and only for 10 days. Including gas over $200 came out of my own pocket to cover those 10 days. When I was told I could get my new car I raced there because I had a busy day and nearly no time but wanted my new car back. I didn't have enough time to return the rental that exact day but it was only Tuesday and was told I didn't have to return it til Friday anyways so I figured it would be fine if I simply returned it the next day on Wednesday. Wednesday morning comes and a service member calls me and rudely states that I should have returned the rental that day and they would not be helping me with the one extra day I took. I explained how no one made me aware of that and I was planning on returning it asap. If they had told me this prior I would have waited the extra day when I had a little more time to pick up my new vehicle and return the rental. Keep in mind my new car was in service for 3 weeks and they only partially covered 7 days. Their service department needs to work on communicating things properly to make the patrons aware of situations and charges. And the attitude I was given was not necessary especially after having to deal with all this for the past three weeks. I definitely recommend this dealership if you are looking for a new or used car or truck. The only thing I wish they had was an area for my kids to play in while I was waiting. Bought another vehicle at Heritage Ford yesterday. I'd gone in for an oil change and walked out with a 2017 Expedition Platinum. Heritage offered to appraise my 2014 Expedition, offered excellent cash/trade in value, and then the discounts on the 2017 Expedition made it impossible to pass on the huge vehicle upgrade. Finance guy Gary is excellent and went the extra mile explaining all aspects of the deal. Turns out buying vehicles in December is excellent timing for discounts as they are moving the 2017s out of the lot. Free oil changes for life are a good deal also. If I could give no stars I would. The service department is SO rude and UNPROFESSIONAL. I took my car for an oil change, I had the first appointment slot of the day 7:30am. By 1 o'clock they still hadn't started on my vehicle. When I inquired The guy at the front desk told me 7:30 is the time we allow you to bring you vehicle doesn't mean we will start on it. The mechanic will work on everything from yesterday before starting yours. So what is the point of having an appointment time? I will NEVER come back or give them my money. This dealership has the absolute worst customer service ever. I drove over 50 miles to view a car after making an appointment to see it. I was already pre qualified for financing and had a guaranteed trade in value for the car I was going to trade in. I decided to purchase and told them I was pre qualified for financing and had a guaranteed trade in value I wanted matched. I was told no problem. Well after almost three hours waiting for them to try to match my financing they couldn't and they were not able to speak with my lender since this was a Sunday After several days of speaking won the various individuals a deal was almost complete with my lender and Heritage Ford. As I was making plans to pick up the car, I received the information that they wouldn't match the trade and wouldn't negoicate the price of the car. Ultimately, I walked away from the deal over 500$. read more

After doing considerable research, I finally found the car and price I was looking for at a heritage Ford. I live in Sacramento so I knew I would have to commit a better half of the day to facilitate the transaction(assuming I liked the car when I saw it in person). I loved Everything about this transaction! (And I typically have a lot of anxiety when it comes to car shopping and hate buying cars because of all of the gimmicks) These guys had upfront pricing on their website. I spoke to salesperson, Rocky, while making the 1.5hr trek from Sacramento. He was able to answer all of my questions and have the car ready for me to view and test drive the moment I got there. I loved the car, price, and terms. The paperwork was quick and Nobody tried to up-sell me on anything. (Of course the extended warranty, Lo-jack, etc were all offered, but there was no pressure whatsoever) Truly an incredible car-buying experience. I highly recommend this dealership! read more

We just bought a used Fiesta from them. Our sales dude Martin was a real professional and worked with us to get the car close to a price we could handle. We had thought we would buy a Honda, but it is nice to go domestic. Even though we were first time buyers with a short credit history, they were willing to negotiate with the interest rate and they got it down below what anybody else in town was able to offer. Anyways, for now we are happy with how it went down. They are really flexible over there and they obviously care about our business even though we weren't buying their high end offerings (at other local dealerships they became less enthusiastic as soon as they heard we were looking at the low end offerings). I'll keep this review up to date, but for now, I hope to do business with them again. Prior to buying here at Heritage Ford we had done some shopping at other dealerships and we have had to walk away because the salesman were too pushy and not personal that I had panic attacks even if I liked the car. If you feel like throwing $1400 in the trash do business with them! They are highly qualified in the art of lying and confusing clients out of their hard earned money. When I bought my car I payed for a Premium care packet. I was very verbal in telling the finance person that I wanted all my services and mechanical needs covered as I had done before for my Nissan. I even mentioned how I once got a nail in my tire and the dealership gave me a loner car. Mind you I bought from a Bay Area dealership. I expressed that I would rather pay upfront and not have to worry about paying for anything later. They gave me the booklet for my Premium Care extended service plan. I payed 1492. Well, today was the first service and I get charged for a simple tire rotation. I ask why I'm being charged if I have the premium care service plan only to be told that I have a New first extended guarantee which is different. It's completely different to what they told me I was getting! I just met with the finance dept. when I showed her the booklet she first said, " yes, what you have mirrors that!" so I asked why I'm being charged for a simple tire rotation? She back tracks and says " no policy would cover that". I proceed to open the booklet of the policy she just told me mirrors what I have and point to where it says tire rotations are covered! She tells me that is not what I have.....we go round and round. In mean time she's not even bothering to give me eye contact and is doing paperwork. Finally I was told I could cancel that guaranty and the money will show in my balance but "she has no access to that info and how much money I would get back after it's been prorated". In other words I can cancel and they could take off with all my $1400!" What a scam !!! P.S. the reaction of mechanic at service station should be a clue that I'm not the only one. He said, " I will take you to the finance department because I'm sick of dealing with this shit every day!" read more

I purchased a 2013 Ford Escape from Heritage back in 2013 and the service was great. I have taken my vehicle to Heritage for the free oil changes and the service has continued to be great. I got a call from Heritage Ford to buy my Escape back so I decided to see what they could offer me. I walked away with a brand new 2017 Ford Escape. The Escape is beautiful but the windows had hard water spots, especially the windshield, and it would not come off with normal washing. I called Ruben and he took care of it. Here is a Dealer I REALLY wanted to like. It is close to where I live. I just purchased a 2015 "Certified Pre=Owned" car from them. The negotiations were not fun. To start with the Salesman told me the car was $22,000 but was actually $22,800. Be careful of "Dealer Fees" and a $895 "Paint Protection Plan". Part of our deal was for them to tint the windows. I have had this process done many times in the past. After waiting 5 hours it turns out the Tinting Company ran out of tint and they did not finish the rear window. 8 days later I finally got the job completed by me having to drive to another tinting company. The rear view mirror vibrates and I was given the choice of leaving the car there "for a few days" or drive to another company. To be fair they did give me a tank of gas. Like I said I REALLY want to like the place but a bit cautious now. read more

My experience with Heritage Ford. I want to start by saying that at no point has anyone at this dealership been rude to me. They have all been polite and professional, for the most part. However, politeness and professionalism does not compensate for a lack of customer service and follow through. They got two starts from me because I bought a really nice truck and because they were not rude. However, they are not getting the other three stars for the following reasons. First and foremost, every time I walk into the dealership for something I have come to realize I must set aside about four hours of my day. When I first bought my truck there were a couple of small issues that needed to be looked at (paint chips) and dealt with. So, I brought my truck in and dropped it off... during this time at the dealership I was talking to a guy there by the name of Oscar about getting a discounted price on a taneau cover since during the buying process I never negotiated anything and just bought the truck at the price they said due to how late it was and time constraints. Oscar was supposed to get back to me in a day... however, a couple days went by and I never heard from him. Heritage did give me a loaner car while my truck was at the dealership. So, on or about the third day I called Oscar to get an update to which he still did not have an answer and he'd get back to me in a day or so. A few days later I'm irritated that I haven't gotten a phone call so I call him again. Oscar gave me an update on the paint chips but never mentions the taneau cover he was supposed to be looking into so, I bring it to his attention. After some more talking I get a spray in bed liner for 1/2 the cost. Why am I having to call you back when you said you'd be calling me? Why did I end up driving the loaner for a week or more instead of my truck being dealt with sooner? After I finally got my truck back it had not been detailed or at no point had the gas tank been filled (all customary) and I did not want to wait for my truck anymore. So, Oscar said on my first oil change the service department would do a FULL detail and fill my gas tank; the customer service guy in the service department verified that it was there in my file as well. Two weeks ago today I made an appointment for my oil change and detail (Oscar and the service guy previously had warned it could take about 2 hours for both) to which they said all was good; I even got a verification / confirmation email about my upcoming appointment that was scheduled for today 6/27/2016. Today, my spouse wakes up early to drop the truck off to be told that they wont have the time to do the detail like it had been scheduled... needless to say she was not happy as she had shown up 45 minutes before their first appointment was even due. She reminded them that it was specified upon making the appointment and that it was noted as well... so the guy said ok. At about 10:20 this morning they got her a shuttle and took her and my son to the mall so they would not be stuck there at the dealership. They also informed her that she would receive a phone call when the truck was done and someone would go back to pick her and my son up. At about 1:00 this afternoon she called the dealership to check on the status of the truck to be told it had been completed but she would have to wait to be picked up because the driver was on lunch break... go figure; no call for update and no driver. When they finally do come and get her and my son she gets the truck back but there is still sand in the back seat, the back floors had not been vacuumed, the front barely looked touched and there is still dirt and dust all over the steering column and in the cup holders. OH! and there is only 1/2 a tank of gas because not only do the service people not actually read the paperwork but they also do not have any pride in their jobs or the company to which they represent. Did I call back, yet again? Absolutely! I called and talked with a guy in the service department about the issues to which he tried to place the blame back on Oscar, who, in my opinion, is not at fault here because he made sure it was all in the file for my truck. Once I pointed out the guy that everything that was supposed to get done was specified at the time the appointment was made I sat on hold for a while so he could come back and let me know that Oscar was going to call me back... Oh, and to let me know that someone else would tell me what had happened. Really? What happened is the people in the service department half-way did their job. Moral of the story... if you want people to hold up to what they say and have pride in their job you should go somewhere else. This dealership is only good for buying what you want and never coming back. Got to say, this is the worst experience I've ever had at a dealership and I've purchased 6 vehicles from 6 different dealerships with this one being my 7th and worst. read more

Poor customer service in service area! I live an hour away and brought my three kids down to get an oil change like I have in the past. Never once needing an appointment. Apparently that is now all they do. Without notifying their customers with a mailer or an email. Instead of working with us and finding a way to get the oil changed (we were in no hurry) we were given a flat no and a sorry. I told them what I was willing to give on it. The manager comes out and gives the same bullshit song and dance they always give..."I can pick this up at auction for $1000 less than I am offering you." My response was simple..."Bullshit. If you could get a...2007 California Concepts Nissan Frontier, Lifted, Leather, Tonneau Cover, spray bedliner, Rockford Fosgate System (with under seat subs), grille guard, running boards, custom paint, etc.etc.etc...., wouldn't you have it on your lot already?" "Lets be honest. I know you are going to sell this trade-in for $23k...and you are not willing to come up one bit on your trade-in offer at $14,500? How can you expect me to be okay with your dealership making $5k-$10k on the new car sale, and another $8,500 for my trade-in? Low blue and black book is $17,500...So with that being said, what are you really going to offer for my trade-in, so we can get past all of this sales posturing bullshit?" His response, " I can't do it." My response..." Give me my effing keys." This is why a number of dealerships went out of business not that long ago. If this place is still in business in a year...I will be shocked. Sales tactics like this are crap, and the reason why many Americans buy import vehicles now. So where do I start! If I could give a -5 star I would. Our car had an issue and had to be towed to this dealership from the freeway. Upon speaking to the general manager George he didn't even make an effort to contact their rental agency to get us a loaner and back on the road safely. Once we were able to contact enterprise they told us they were closing in 2 minutes, and wouldn't wait for us to arrive there. One would assume that if the general manager would have contacted the rental agency and told them our situation, which is clearly an emergency, since we are from out of town, they might have waited 10 minutes for us to get a car. Luckily we had another friend with us, who picked us up. I am not surprised with the reviews on this place at all. Absolutely no customer service. Bought my car here. Sales experience was good. However servicing your car for maintenance is another . Very bad service, does not communicate. I had my appointment for an oil change at 8:45am and barely got my car started on at 11. Amazing right?? If I didn't say anything or complained, it would've took even longer! Their reasoning is because I wanted them to check on my coolant?? Just to look!!! not work on !! .. If so.. "just to look" it should NOT take long to check alone, even if it was with an oil change. They did not tell me of any delays, they just expected us to just wait and wait and wait ! The response why it wasn't worked on and taking so long was ....we wanted to check out the coolant?? Now they turned the tables Cause it was technically our fault we wanted our coolant just to be looked at?? . When the priority at 8:45 AM was suppose to be my scheduled time for an oil change! No heads up if there wasn't time? Just be honest if there's any delays or if it can't be checked out, no biggie! But no.... that wasn't the case. Never experienced this here before, it was a service guy I never I dealt with before , usually the other guys are good and honest. I am beyond upset. This is Bulls^**. I am a firm believer that customer service makes a company and am extremely disappointed by the way I was treated at Heritage Ford. I went in to find out what the recall was on my car and to get a price on replacing a seatbelt. The gentleman at the counter when I walked in was very rudely telling one of his employees that they couldn't rotate tires on a vehicle that they were working on because it's not on their work order and the tires are staggered. Then as I approached the counter the same guy hardly gave me the time of day and was pretty rude getting my information for the recall then said the guy over there can help you with rest and then pretty much refused to acknowledge any questions after that. I'm a first time car buyer, or would have been had someone taken the time to at the very least acknowledge my presence. I had the pleasure working with Luis Rodriguez (sales consultant) and Graham Wariso (Sales manager) for the purchase of a 2018 Ford Focus ST. I had been in the market for a while but in no hurry to purchase a new vehicle. I have purchased new vehicles before and as we all know it can sometimes be stressful. My search started with a different dealer in Sacramento and resulted in a terrible experience (I will post a separate review). I walked out and I pretty much made up my mind to buy a Subaru WRX (I am a Subaru fanatic and owned several). On my way home from Sacramento I spoke to another sales rep from this dealer and was on the fence to waste any more time. Being in sales, I embrace persistence with no pressure. Luis apologized for my poor experience at the other Ford dealership. The fact that Luis took ownership impressed me. Luis was always in constant communication and there was no pressure to purchase the vehicle. I mentioned I was interested and he promised to keep me posted if the vehicle sold. Follow up in sales is a must, and because of Luis's follow up I gave this dealer an opportunity to win my business. I arrived the following day and was in and out. Luis was very transparent and honest. I let them know ahead of time I'm a straight forward customer and all I care about is price (don't sell me on payment). They acknowledged my sales background and we talked numbers. This is the first time while purchasing a vehicle that both the sales rep and the sales manager were completely engaged with me from start to finish. Zero, If I could. For the service department and owners lack of customer service. They did thousands of dollars in repairs because they couldn't figure out the problem. Experimenting on my dime in other words. The manager and owner both refused to give me a break on the costs because they couldn't figure out how to fix it. Awful. Never again.
