I recently had an accident and needed to find a different repair shop. I had previously taken my husband's Tesla to Caliber Collision on Braker, and it was a terrible experience. The communication was poor, and I never received any updates unless I called them repeatedly. When I was searching for an approved body shop using my State Farm app, Heritage didn't show up, but I was referred to Adrian at Heritage. From the moment I walked in, I received daily updates via text, which made the process so much smoother. I rarely had to make a call, and since my insurance covers a rental, I wasn't in a rush to get my car fixed. Adrian informed me it would take about a week and a half, and it was done right on time. They washed and detailed my car, including the tires, making it look brand new--just like it came straight from the dealership! The customer service truly exceeded my expectations. Our Tesla model 3 was in a fender bender and needed the hood, bumper, crash bar, fog lights, and some sensors replaced. This Heritage location is one of the few Tesla authorized repair locations. Adrian was great to deal with. I installed an aftermarket powered frunk that Heritage had to work around when installing the new hood. I explained to Adrian how it worked so they would know how to replace the hood without damaging the hood struts and he made sure it was relayed on to the folks working on the car. He set expectations on the process of ordering parts and the repair itself. The repair itself was done very well and the front end looked like new. I'm giving these folks a poor review, but they actually didn't paint a vehicle for me. My son's car is a mid-2000s Toyota with the typical faded paint problem they all have. I brought the car over for a quote and was given one the same day -- all good. Money was reasonable and their work looked good. I dropped the car off the next day. Checking email from yesterday (two days later -- after I already told them I had a deadline to meet because I'm driving the car out of state in two weeks), I discovered a note from my estimator saying the job would actually take twice the amount quoted. Realizing the car probably wasn't worth it, they suggested I pick it up and take it elsewhere. Okay -- but you couldn't call me to tell me that?! An email?! Also -- twice the amount?!? What is the estimator for if they're that far off the mark? To be that wrong, I could've estimated it myself. read more

This was hands down the best experience I've ever had with a mechanic, or anyone in the auto industry for that matter. I cannot stress enough how courteous, upfront, and professional Adrian was at this location. I drive an old beat up work truck and, although that definitely isn't their normal clientele (there's a sexy GTO in their showroom), when I called to inquire about an alignment and tire replacement following a collision Adrian was very helpful and happy to have my business. He promptly got back to me with an estimate and after receiving my vehicle had excellent communication, providing updates on what they had found and my options. Luckily the trucks alignment was ok (solid rear axle) but I still expected and was fine with the price we had agreed upon as checking the alignment still takes man power and time. To my baffled surprise, Adrian waved the charges and changed the tire for free. Absolutely incredible. He will probably never know how much this act of kindness has meant to me. Anyone who's been jerked around by insurance after being struck by another vehicle that was clearly at fault knows what I'm talking about. Even a small win in this whole process is an absolute God-send. You don't have to be an auto fanatic to know how rare this kind of treatment is in the industry. Please give them your business. I'm not sure how I haven't written a review for this place. I was rear ended a year or 2 ago in my Kia Rio and had bad damage and decided to go through my own insurance to speed up the process of getting the work fixed as I needed to go to work with my vehicle. They were prompt courteous and got me a rental car through the ordeal but as I was traveling for work, decided to just return it. No hassle. Came through it all and when I returned my car was done. Beautiful work and all I had to do was pay my deductible as GEICO has their speedy agents at this location to help with the claims process. Glad heritage has great friendly people to help deal with all these stressful situations in a time that everyone gets on edge easily. I truly enjoyed that from GEICO I was able to obtain an itemized breakdown of all work that was done on my vehicle. The cost of parts and labor helped me understand what it all took and the speed and the ease of it all was what really made it painless. I've just referred my fiancé to this place to take his damaged honda fit as he has GEICO as well and hopes he gets a similar representation of service that I previously experienced. read more

They gave me detailed estimates and timelines to get the work done. All the work was done to restore my cars to as new standards. I went to these guy's because they were the geico preferred shop. Wow, what a mistake. The crooked mess I dealt with will make me think long and hard about any shop I choose from here on. This ordeal was a while back, but it left such a bad taste in my mouth that I checked on them to see my review, but it is gone so I'm reposting it. The job was a simple rear bumper replacement, but they wanted to detail previous body damage so they went around my truck with a marker to note ripples and whatnot. It's not a new truck but it had fresh paint. Days later I come to pick it up, and notice it's been detailed. It also looks like it's been attacked with a brillo pad. Well, everyplace they had marked my truck with a marker was obviously scratched. It looked like someone had gone at their marker with steel wool! Telling the body guy about it, he responded "we didn't detail your truck." Well it was pretty obvious it had been washed and I told the guy so, getting the reply, "oh well nobody touched it, they just hosed it off." Of course it was obvious that the shine was not from a hose. I told hims so, and he told me, "We don't detail cars here." Well, I was looking at a guy on the other side of the fence detailing a car! His next response was that they would never do anything that would scratch a car, as I watched the car wash guy run a rag from inside the wheel well to the door panel! The body guy lied to me four times in under a minute! The management was just as bad. Terrible place. Stay away. read more

We have used Heritage Body & Frame for years and have referred a number of friends and family to them as well. They have a great job on repairs ranging from severe hail damage, minor fender benders, and most recently having our Expedition rear ended by an F250 at 50mph. In every one of these cases, we have received excellent service, and the quality of the repairs was excellent. In the most recent situation with our Expedition, we worked with Adrian. He kept us updated as to the progress of his estimate as well as informed of any questions that were presented to him by our insurance company. Ultimately the Expedition was totaled, but I could not have asked for a better experience. They are courteous, but don't communicate effectively. I took my car there as part of an insurance claim, and rather than call me before they made a very expensive repair, they did the repair without letting me know and expected me to pay for it. These repairs were strictly cosmetic and were done without consent. Suffice it to say, I'm upset, but unfortunately due to a loophole in their drop off forms, I'm required to pay in full. I will not be going back here. EDIT: While they still performed the work without my consent over the phone, the drop off papers that I signed DID authorize them to do the work. Note- this was the second time I needed my car repaired. The first time was by a different shop in south Austin. They left swirls in the paint and Heritage even fixed their work; And that wasn't the area that needed body work but they must have buffed out the swirls during the detail. Dare I say this place is the best body shop from Portland, ME to Portland, OR? I dare. While being snubbed at King of the Ding(-a-Lings) down the street, I Yelp-searched other body shops and found this place, so I gave the king a back-ended bow and high-tailed it over to Heritage. I noticed a Geico office, an Enterprise Rent-a-Car, some nice couches, and two really nice cars (a Corvette and a GTO) on display in the office. This, and the fact that I was immediately greeted with gusto, all gave me a great vibe. I didn't catch the name of the guy I dealt with, so let's just call him Harry... as in Heritage. I explained to him that I had a really bad habit of pulling too far into parking spaces, and the years of doing it are what likely caused my fender to start separating from the rest of the car on either side. I would hear that terrible scraping sound of the bottom of my fender against the stupid curb, and I'd shudder and then kick my own ass. Driving from place to place, I would have to push both sides of the fender back in after most trips to avoid any super-serious problems. Well, a couple of nights ago I thought I was okay pulling into a parking spot, but then I heard that infernal noise and realized I'd done it again. And I'd been so good and careful lately, too! I gulped and carefully reversed the car a bit. Got out to find the fender almost completely flipped up, only still attached at the top. I managed to get it put back together, seemingly as strong as before, but I realized I'd finally have to get off my ass and do something about this -- lest my fender finally completely fall off and I run over it -- which led me to this frantic search down Pond Springs the very next day. So Harry told me they couldn't repair it in the traditional way, since whatever little something-or-other connectors on the sides of the fenders had broken off, but they could -- for lack of better terminology -- jerry-rig it and make it look nice. He warned me in advance to be more careful about those damned parking curbs. Yeah, no kidding! I was gonna get an estimate for replacement of the fender, but once he quoted $153 for the repair, I immediately settled on that. Hell, my insurance deductible is $1,000, and I didn't wanna have to report the claim and have my rate rise, so I think I done good. I asked how long the repair would take, and was told 4-5 hours. It was around noon at the time, and they close at 5:30, so I knew we were pushing the clock. I also knew there was a possibility I wouldn't get the car back that day, though Harry never stated that. But, hey, I have a bike. And working legs (for now). Some other Heritage guy drove me home. I didn't get his name, either, but we'll call him Cosby because he had the comedy radio station on as we were driving, and they were airing an old Bill Cosby act. Cosby was nice and easy to talk to, as well as a great driver. I've gotta mention, too, that both Harry and Cosby were very polite by opening doors for me (including car doors). I was right in the middle of a fattening lunch at 3:15 when Harry called to tell me my bitch... ahem, my car, was ready. That was sooner than I figgered. I actually wasn't ready to be picked up yet, so I asked for Cosby to come at 4pm, which he did. No trouble on the bill; the price was exactly as quoted. The work looks great. They even vacuumed my floor mats. They also, for some reason, put everything they found in the floor boards on the back seat of my car. I guess some peeps might be pissed off about that, but I wasn't, as this makes it easier for me to sort the trash and keeps-y items. So now my car looks slightly better than decent, which means it excels at being it. I'm not nearly as embarrassed by it now as I was before. Heritage asked if I wanted it painted. I said no, but I'm gonna do it next year. Three guesses where I'm taking the car. read more

Got rear ended, the ladies insurance has an office here so I decided to just go ahead and get my car fixed here because the reviews seem great. To be fair, they did a great job repairing my bumper... BUT they broke my key fob in the process and refuse to take blame. My key fob is the only way I lock my car, open my trunk, and set my alarm. I have never had a single issue. I drop my car off, lock the doors, set the alarm with the key fob, no problems. Come to pick up my car, go to switch the stuff from my rental back into my car, the fob doesn't work. My fiancé tells them and they say it's probably the battery, which is understandable. I take it to walmart, replace the battery and it still doesn't work, we go back to heritage. The girl at the desk right away starts dismissing it as saying there was nothing they could have possibly done to break it with just bumper work.... Which absolutely just pissed me off. I can't stand people making excuses and not taking blame or just being open to the fact that maybe they did in fact mess up, especially right away without even knowing exactly what is going on. Anyway, we make an appointment for a few days later so they can look at it. We discover if you press the fob really hard in the middle while pressing the buttons it will work. Which leads me, and my mechanic fiancé, to believe it has been dropped/something has been knocked loose. It's obviously broke. At my fiance's reputable shop, if a key fob breaks while in their care, they replace it no questions asked. Which obviously, is how any respectable company would handle the situation. Finally we go in and speak to a guy named Nathan, who says he's manager. Now, if Nathan is a manager, the owner of Heritage is wasting precious payroll on someone who is absolutely not fit for the position. Nathan is RIDICULOUS and EXTREMELY rude. He just smirks and speaks in circles, not taking blame, saying there is no way to know if the shop broke it or if it just broke over time. His solution is to each go half on replacing the key fob because he says the key fob doesn't look brand new. Absolutely Ridiculous. To make it even WORSE, he shows me this key fob that doesn't have a trunk open, I don't even think has an alarm button, pulls up an E BAY page and says that's the one he will help towards replacing. It's nothing at all like my current key fob. I asked for my keys back, he says OKAY with a smirk. I walk away absolutely LIVID. Leaving my car at any shop is based on trust. I trust them to take care of my car, every piece of my car. KEYS INCLUDED. I finally called the lakeline location and spoke to the manager, Drew, about what had happened at the pond springs location. He seemed very nice and professional, seemed to listen when I was speaking and said he would see what he could do about the situation. I will update when/if I hear back from him. UPDATE 12/16/13 - Drew from the lakeline location was very helpful and kept up with me multiple times and had tried to contact the owner a few times. Guess owner doesn't care b/c nothing was ever done. read more

Do NOT take your car here. I needed my bumper replaced due to a kid rear ending me and took my car here. BIG MISTAKE. I dropped it off on a Tuesday morning and was told I would have my car back by Friday. I never received calls updating me on the status of my car - I had to call them several times. Once I got a hold of them on Friday, they said they cant find the part anywhere and have ordered it but it wont be here till Monday. I call on Monday to get an update and they say they havent received it but will call me later with an update. No call (surprise, surprise). Its now been a week and I call them first thing Tuesday morning and I get told that the bumper came in but its damaged and they are ordering a new part - it will be another few days. UNACCEPTABLE! There is absolutely no effort being made to fix my car. Ive had a rental for week. They have no concept of customer care or common sense to call their customer with updates. Not to mention, I find it odd that they cant seem to find the part, yet I call the dealer and they have my part and it costs a fraction of what they were going to charge me. I called them immediately and said dont touch my car, Im coming to get it and getting it done myself. Do not trust Bernie or Megan or any of those people that work there. So.. I had trouble with this review update for a few reasons. I had taken my car here before and it was super easy and everyone was great, so when someone backed into my car and scratched the entire passenger side I figured I'd just give this place another go.. before I picked up my car I was ready to give one star, afterwards I was ready to give four, and a few days later I'm still confused...after re-reading my review I think 3 is appropriate. The breakdown: Since my car was drive-able I was told on Friday they would order the parts and I could bring the car back in when they arrived Monday or Tuesday. As of Tuesday afternoon I'd heard nothing so I emailed to check in and was told someone would call me that afternoon with an update. No call. I ask for an update Wednesday, was told I would be contacted. No call. As of Friday, still no update and no call. Finally the following Monday I'm told I can drop my car off and pick up a rental (but they called me five minutes before close so it would have to wait until the next day) and that repairs should only take a few days. I'm slightly annoyed but hey, my car is getting fixed. Priorities! I know they have no control over the part people but if you say you're going to call, call. It's Friday and I have no update on the car, so I reach out and ask if they're going to need to keep it over the weekend (I am paying for a rental-would prefer to give Enterprise as little of my money as possible). I am told they needed additional paperwork from my insurance, so no work has been started and it will be completed by the end of next week. WHY DID NO ONE CALL ME? At this point, I'm pretty pissed. As established, my car is drive-able. Why did you keep it for extra days when no work was being done? I would have happily come back and gotten it and saved myself money on the damn rental car, especially now that you're going to keep it over the weekend! Pissed, I was pissed. I'm looking at nearly three weeks out at this point. Thursday I finally pick up my car (10 days after drop off), and she looks great. They washed and detailed the car (but didn't fix a scratch they said they would) and you can't tell that some idiot t-boned me. Great! But then.. I'm driving to grab dinner late Friday night and notice it seems a bit dark, I pull off and realize my passenger headlight (the one they were working on) is out. There's no way the bulb has gone out unless it's faulty because I just replaced it three months ago. I figure something was done incorrectly, but it's now Friday night, on a holiday weekend, so I have no headlight until I can call on Tuesday.. so, sorry for being the ass driving around with their brights on. I contact them about the issue and they quickly responded and said a wire probably came loose and I can come in tomorrow to fix it-which is great, but you messed it up in the first place and I don't think an apology would have been out of place.. I had no headlight for nearly a week and risked getting a ticket the whole time. So all in all, the employees here are great, and the repair work itself is great.. but the communication issues, no apologies and lack of consideration for my time and money will probably send my business elsewhere in the future. My car was hit and the other insurance company (GEICO) recommended I go to their preferred shop Heritage in Austin. When I picked up my car I could see the edges of where the repair was done and it was hazy and foggy and the clear coat was streaky. There was also paint over-spray and little white dots overlying the paint on the repair. I told them I was dissatisfied with the repair on three separate occasions when I tried to pick it up. On the third time I was told it was the best the could do and they could not fix it. Now I have brought to another body shop to do the repairs a second time. About six months after purchasing my first car, I got rear ended. My first personal car, my first accident, my first foray into the car insurance world. This shop was recommended through the Geico AutoRepair Xpress program, and I was completely satisfied. Easy drop off late on a Wednesday afternoon. The adjuster looked over the incredibly minimal damage and estimated completion on Monday. Geico had already arranged for a rental through the Enterprise satellite office there at Heritage, so that was a breeze. I was surprised by how much I appreciated the text message updates Heritage sent; they lost me with the corny one, though! They finished my car earlier than expected--by Friday afternoon--which I was somewhat grateful for because driving that fancy rental, while fun, was rather nerve wracking. A Heritage employee took me out to look at the car. I don't know anything about body work or vehicles, so I'm sure I can't appreciate their efforts as much as another professional, but it looked pretty nice to me! As I got in to drive away, I noticed that they had Armor-All'd my tires! Several days later, I realized that the floors where much cleaner than when I had dropped off: they vacuumed the interior as well! Lovely experience and I would definitely go back---though I hope never have to. ***I can't comment on their prices, as I have no history with the cost of body work, and did no research prior to selecting this shop. read more

Went to Heritage after a co-worker backed into my car. He had Geico insurance, and they have an office at Heritage. I checked out the reviews, and decided to let Heritage fix the damage to our car. When I dropped it off, they told me it would probably be done in 24-36 hours, and put me in a rental car. By the end of the week (4-5 days later), I had not heard from them. Since they are near my neighborhood, I stopped by to check on it. The car was finished, but as they were doing their final check, they noticed that when they were putting it back together, they put a scratch on the area they had just repaired. They would have to repaint it, which meant keeping it longer. Since we had to leave town, they released it to me, and asked me to bring it back when we returned. After a couple of weeks, I took it back in. It only took about 36 hours, and they called and said it was ready. When I picked it up, the damage was fixed, but there were several spots of something that looked like scuffs on the side. They were able to remove it with some compound wax, but why was it there in the first place? Then, when I got in the car to leave, I noticed that the armrest was filthy. Our car is nearly brand new, and was not this way when we dropped it off. Once again, they got it clean, but I had to point it out. The work was certainly not the best body work I've ever had done, but not bad. I will not be going back there, though. Friendly folks, just too many issues. read more

I called around for estimates and Heritage was about $70 lower than the cheapest one I got, before bringing the car to them. They quickly gave me an estimate, kept me updated and helped me with transportation to and from. As usual, the whole process was quick and easy. Had my car back just in time for work that evening. Last week, my car was rear ended. The other driver had GEICO and they recommended a few shops, but I decided to go with this shop. I was glad that I did. I dropped off my car at 7:30AM and both Heritage & Enterprise were ready for me. It took a few minutes to go over the paperwork, but I was on my way back to work within 20 minutes. I received my quote within 24 hours along with an estimated delivery date. From then on, I received daily updates from Heritage on my cell phone. In the end, the car was ready one day ahead of schedule. My car was ready for me when I arrived to pick it up. We went over the work that was done and then I did a walk around inspection along with Ross from Heritage. Dropped off car on a Tuesday afternoon...got an estimate back 2 days later. They were completely dishonest about the valuation of my car (super inflated). They lead me to believe a decision was still being made in regards to whether it would be repaired or a total loss. Started repairs on my car when I was under the impression decision was still being made ....AND they took 6 business days to tell me it was repairable and that they'd already started repairs. I haven't had work done here yet but their advice has helped save me time and money twice and I think their level of professionalism and customer service is worth a review. I wandered in looking for a second opinion on a quote for my wrecked Mazda and was met by Nathan, the GM, who impressed with the time he took in his thorough explanation- even AFTER confirming that the other shops estimate was fair and advising to forgo the repair (cost vs value). I left Heritage wishing I'd towed my wreck to Heritage in the first place as I could tell they knew how to treat a customer. Nathan's advice, given as an impartial party, was a big factor in helping me decide to salvage my car, take them money and save myself a headache. About ten days later I am car shopping and fall for a Chevy that needs what I thought was light paint work. Chevy's service manager recommended I bring the potential purchase to Heritage for a quote on the body work, as it'd be cheaper than at the dealership, and I was happy to return to Heritage given my recent interaction with it's GM. Again, I was met by Nathan, who looked at the Chevy and brought to my attention the extent and severity of the paint's damage, much of which I had not noticed. With this new knowledge I was able to talk the seller down $1100 due to this quote. So, no, I haven't have work done here, but will definitely say Heritage it the place I will return to when I decide to have work done. read more

I really enjoyed this place, as the customer service is SPECTACULAR, but being originally from Houston and understanding how much parts cost, I felt like this business was a little more expensive than normal. I bought my car two months ago, and this past weekend, my car was hit in the parking lot in Highland Mall during House of Torment. I quickly called GEICO to get everything squared away and find a reputable place to send my car. I was sent to Heritage, a few blocks away from my work, and was walked through the process - first dropping off the car and taking a full sample of what the initial body work needed, and then providing an estimate for the work and repairs that would be done. I really liked that they had their labor costs posted at the front of the desk, so you could calculate how much labor would be done on the car, if you're a stickler for what the cost breakdown would be like me. A little frazzled by the price, Christina gave me a call and explained exactly what work would be done on the car - including what parts would be removed, and what would be painted, etc - justifying the total cost of the car. She kept me alert with text updates saying where my vehicle was in the process of repair, as well as phone alerts allowing me to understand the estimated time my car would be in repair. Enterprise has its own separate counter, which made it a really seamless transition between dropping a car, and picking up a rental. All in all, great customer service - they even returned my car vacuumed and washed with a place mat with a quick turnover in just a day! The wonderful service definitely provides value to the service you are getting. Thanks for the great experience Heritage! Side advice - toward the end of the month, they are more likely to finish your job faster, as they are trying to get cars off the lot then. So the closer you are to the end, I believe the quicker they'll get the job done. read more
